Perhaps a bit more diversity on resources per asteroid type. Metallic has alloy mines, rocky metallic has a mix of minerals and alloys plus crystals, rocky has minerals and crystals, rocky ice has minerals and motes, icy gets exotic gas and motes. Utilizing asteroids should require some restricted start so everyone isn't using them, or if you don't start with using them, an ascension perk to reprioritize industry to concentrate on small bodies to open them up.

Install merger of rules, it should fix all compatibility issues regarding rules like this

Moved the mod a lot lower in my modlist (below both Planetary Diversity and Real Space) and it works perfectly. Unfortunately, I have too many mods to tell you where the conflict was. Great mod!

I have the belt fairly low on my load order so high chance I have a conflicting mod on my end. Next time i start a new game I will try moving it below PD/RS which I suspect may be the issue.

@Brant-flir Sorry, no such luck. I also wasn't using Real Space in that run. I ended up starting another one. Yes, I have the same 'Barren World Colinization' tag, which made me think it was Magnum's Mod, but that wasn't it. If you'd like I can send you my mod list or you can send me yours. I'll be able to check mine tomorrow most likely.

@Xenos Yatagarasu, if it helps, when i was able to use this mod it did not appear i needed any technology and i could colonize them from game start (albeit with 10% hab). Now it tells me i need a technology and blocks colonization of regular (ie. continental etc) worlds. According to tooltip, its only checking rules for (1) your asteroid colonization rules and (2) barren world colonization rules. Despire 100% hab, I cannot colonize regular worlds because it is checking rules only for asteroids and barren.

@Xenos Yatagarasu, I disabled this mod and I can now colonize worlds again. Since this mod used to work for me (able to colonize normal worlds and asteroids) I would guess its a conflict with another mod that is causing this. Its odd that I was able to use it fine with the same mods previously and I don't know where the conflict would be. Thanks for reviving this great mod.

@erik.vale, I have the same problem being unable to colonize everything due to needing "Barren World Colinization"or be an asteroid. Have you figured out what mod it was? I noticed Real Space updated right around the time it happen/

@Dr Nilsson no, all asteroids are turned into colonizable ones at the start of the game through an event, so unless you somehow change the number of asteroids, you can't affect it
@ajacksonian yeah I know, but using these two different mods together is pointless tbh. Why use two mods that basically do the same thing? Also that mod is by far better, I only updated this for nostalgia

Any patch for Planetary Diversity Planetary Habitats? ( https://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1878751971 ) As it also includes Asteroid Habitats.

Something updating somewhere in my mod list (I can't figure it out yet) has resulted in me being unable to colonize worlds other than asteroids with this mod. :(
A shame because this is a really nice idea. Has anyone had a similar problem before with previous The Belts?

To clarify, there was an event saying people are dying and food/air is running out, but that event seemed to be nothing but an annoying pop up that does nothing but alert you 'the building is about to be destroyed'.

I thought it should be killing them based on the phrasing. Honestly would kinda help get the problem under control.
That said I ended up resolving it by turning the conquered territory into a vassal. Let the AI deal with it, then I'll absorb them when the have more stability.

As a suggestion, for newly spawned systems after game start, you can fire an event to convert the asteroids in that system with on_system_first_visited.

@erik.vale I made it so the life support fail is less common now, but pops shouldn't be dying, that has to be a bug somewhere

I've recently conquered a enemy empire that started making use of Asteroieds. Threw up the life support buildings since they didn't, and since then I keep getting spammed with messages about death (That don't remove pops), or about failure of the life support (Ruining the building). Is there any way to stop this, and should pops actually be dying?

Found an issue under asteroid_districts. Alloy mining drone (for a machine empire) wasn't creating the jobs when the district was built. Found an extra -e on the job-add line. Fixed it for me.

Love this mod and all of content from DO3, that are updated to 3.7. I've seen only a small problem with UI Overhaul: on planet interface there is graphical issue with planet view on all belts. May I ask you update planet view so it will fin in window, please?

For @CTH2004: I've tried this mod with habitats from PD and it's working great. You can build asteroid habitat and it will work as creator of PD was intended. But PD habitats are less usefull as this mod, so building PD habitats will create disadvantage for you

@CTH2004 you can use either one, it doesn't matter, I keep both up to date so yeah. And about planetary habitats, if it uses is_planet_class as a trigger, then it won't work but if it uses is_asteroid then it will. I'd have to look at the code though. It won't break the mod either way but I'll take a look

I'm assuming that by "Districts Overhaul" you mean your "Buildings and Districts Overhaul"? (The one that mod was merged into)

also, what happens if I have this and planetary diversity: habbitats? (Which lets you make asteroid and planetary habbitats)

I always liked the mod that allowed asteroid colonies. I do have a suggestion. Change the description of the life support. Not all species use Air , water, food. Maybe find a more generic description for the life support.

perhaps something like : "Environmental Control and life-support systems that provides the essential supplies and environmental conditions to support an asteroid colony"
