Not having this skill available in B42 kinda sucked, so I went ahead and updated it. You can find it available in my workshop.

0.04xp per swing if you cut manually.

0.41xp per swing if you use the right click cut tree.

Seems like a bug? Or is it intended?

Not 100% compatible w/ Kill Count. If playing on a multiplayer server where you can see other player's kills, it bugs it out where it won't show their kills and remain at your kills. The name of the other player you viewed will also not replace your name, but paste over it. Like it's your name and the other player's in the same box. Although it works as intended and shows the tree & bush counter though.

It is a very nice mod, but I am not sure it is working as intended for me. After I leveled up to level 1 woodcutting it is costing my character WAY more stamina to cut a tree, like 2-3 times more, and gets tired just after 2-3 trees when before I leveled up he could cut 5-6 trees without getting tired. And that with the wood axe. So I am not sure if I am missing something. Thank you for the mod in any case :)

I'm getting the same errors as puppy. Happens every time I'm chopping down a tree, so it's spamming a lot.

Regarding the wood cutting skill on the park ranger. It does show up if you create a new character outside the game instance (before the loading screen). However if you die in the game and you create a character (while in game and your corpse is walking) It doesn't show up in the profession and proceeds to make a character without the wood cutting skill. Tested this in multiplayer.

@Weeb#1986902 @Bliss ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ @Ostin Yorjim. I updated the mod so it's always loaded last, so it should always take effect after loading other mods that change professions and traits like "Occupations Expertise & Balance"for example, without changing the loading order.

As expected, it doesn't work with mods that change the professions, however, the traits are fine.

Would I be correct in assuming this doesn't work with mods that change the professions/ occupations?

"Occupations Expertise & Balance" (2729436580) is the specific one I am thinking about.

I read in the comments that Dynamic Traits works but that doesn't change the actual professions like the mod I mentioned does.

I get these errors in the log around the time I start trying to level up woodcutting, after which the server loses its shit and nearly stops communicating with the players and what they do in the world altogether. I don't know if it's broken or just incompatible with my other mods, is anyone facing similar problems?

@CarlosRojasCu The current xp gains are balanced so the skill is grindable without skill books. Adding skill books would make it too fast.
If skill books are added, the base xp multiplier would probably need to be halfed.

so how bout LegendCraft Melee weapons? that mod adds tiered weapons including all axes (Except stone axe) up to 5 & a 6th Legendary axe with unlimited durability. LC's axes still allow the chop tree function but for some mods like DIY tool belt these axes aren't counted as tools & will not be accepted by the tool belt bag.

I'll give this some tests & see whats up tomorrow its late now but this mod looks promising.

@Quill It's not compatible with Chop Tree Bug Fix.
And I haven't implemented this "bug fix" because I don't consider it a bug, it seems very much intended by the devs, given how they did the math for it.

I'm really happy to see that the code was written in a way that should have no conflicts with mods when adding or removing professions or trails. however, it's not perfect as you only checked if vanilla_gardenerTrait is valid, but you forgot to add checks for the professions lumberjack, park ranger, and farmer.

The wood cutting bonuses looks neat. Can this have a forestry option aswell. Both using the old dead trees but also preserving the nature by planting new trees. Sandbox support would also be great. Thanks.

@champygnakx no no noe ! XD not needed, I just saw this skill and was like.... I CAN ROLEPLAY AS A BUNYAN AND FELL TREES IN SINGLE STRIKES!!! BEHOOOOLD! yes, I'm weird.... but everytime I see a forest in a game like minecraft my first thought is "this place would look great cut down, flattened and covered in concrete or with a giant log cabin/castle.

Just listing the ones I use, More Simple Traits (MST) has the Cutter trait, and I think it's More Traits that has Hobby: Lumberjack trait.
