Are you sure it's Erebus? According to the description on the planet's workshop page, there shouldn't be any gold there...

But it could be that the ore is very deep, 100 meters or deeper. I noticed back in vanilla that the range of the ore detector isn't always reliable; sometimes it shows the ore 10–30 meters out of range, or it doesn't react until it's only a meter away, and then works as intended again with the next ore.

I'm not finding any ores on the underneath the surface of Erebus? I tried a clean load of this world, so no extra mods, too. Even the ice lakes aren't giving me an 'Ice' signal, no matter the ore detector/drill. Hopped around in spectator mode and found an exposed patch of gold near the Void monster thing, teleported my character in with drill in hand, and still couldn't see the 'Gold" signal. I CAN, for whatever reason, see surface nodes and meteorite impact mineral signals, though. Is this by design?

From experience, I can say that if you stay in the starting area, the voids will keep coming back, but only irregularly.

I have three other NPC mods installed: two for space, one for planet, and I also have the spiders, so that's four NPCs.

Only VOID NPC required Aryx and Weaponcore. You can remove them off you want, but this NPC will be less dangerous.

I chose AWE, because it is very popular mood, that also includes laser weapons, that I needed in this case.

Add far I remember VOID only spawns once in the beginning, so it doesn't matter that much.

I'd like to know which changes to the MES settings I'm absolutely not allowed to make. I wanted to add other NPCs that use mod weapons, but if I set the setting to "true," it might also result in the Void getting different weapons.

Okay, the question of which grids (NPCs) require Aryx weapons is now resolved. I realized it when I saw the Void NPCs... But couldn't you assign them other weapons with MES?

For performance reasons, I have to adjust/check the spawn rate, cleanup rate, and weapon release. I've had bad experiences with other NPCs in this regard.

Hi, I find your mod really interesting, but before I use it, I have a few questions:
1. Which grids require the Aryx weapon mod?
I would like to swap the Aryx for another weapon mod.
2. Is it really impossible to play Lost Hope without Aryx?
3. Which mods are incompatible or not recommended?

I just had to delete this request twice because of spelling mistakes... my English isn't that good...

This is an awesome system but very difficult to determine where the planets are. I think I'm heading towards something lol. Added mods and spawned in in my underwear then popped in my ramshackle of a ship from the learning scenario I just finished. Hard to jump even using a ton of solar panels, sucks the power out of my batteries...oh well.

Celaeno is the best planet to make a main base at you have all the resources and Aphus for resources but its not easy to get to as you need to jump there multiple times with 1 drive you cannot start there so its a great goal to set early on... i need to get to Celaeno!

@Russel As far I remember, no. Look for Aphus. Easiest to spot.

ok I give up lol. I can only find Mahriane and Trade faction stations (Maybe a MES issue) and they do not have contracts to give. I'll happily take the coords of that station near Khurakan please :D

@darkstar74 If you have Nebula Mod, you will be able to spot a small cloud in the sky.

If you don't, you can find them with the same approach mentioned below. Look for hauling missions on economy stations with a very distance destination. Probably more than 50k km.

They aren't that difficult to spot. I could give you the GPS locations, but you probably prefer to find them on your own.

2 ways come to my mind:
2. Ad Binoculars mod and start searching the sky. You will find them.
2. Find economy station and take haul missions. They often lead you to some other planet. There are economy stations near Khurakan star. You also can go to the Aphus and look for economy stations. Those would be the easiest to find, especially near Kimi and Qun. You also should be able to find datapads here and there with their locations.

To help you start, I can give you location of one economy station near Khurakan.

So Ive been playing through a Lost Hope start and FINALLY got to a pretty comfy position and a ship with a jump drive ready to go. I have one little problem though... apparently the PAM auto miner wont work properly if the miner is too far away from the center of the system. So Ive packed up everything on a massive transport ship and Im ready to move to a planet closer to the center. How do I find planets? Ive just been traveling towards the center (towards the Khurakan star, not the one that orbits). Now Im so close I take heat or radiation damage (Im assuming anyways. when Im not inside or in shade I take damage). Any pointers to help me out?

I'm curious if there'll ever be a Real Stars version of this system? Considering the system uses a custom star while still having the normal sun, that mod could be useful for that.

The Lost Hope start is quite challenging for the beginner. You need to figure out how to repair the Jump Drive. It's easy to screw up.

You won't get more encounters such as the Leviatan. You need some MES mods for this.

I tried this as my first experience of SE, and was not disappointed. I went for the Lost Hope start and its fun so far, especially with the story of how the ship was attacked. Killing the Leviathan from inside is something I'd expect from Monster Hunter. Cant wait to explore the rest of the system.

I picked the medium start with that funky lander but I'm a bit stuck because there isn't a survival pod on the lander or at the base you're advised to go to, and there is no means to get the materials to build one.

How do I get started refining some stone/ore?

I'm not a person to leave much negative reviews but I really love this scenario/world. its a shame that Ai (vanilla or otherwise scripted) refuses to work due to a game limitation bug. Keep up the good work and cross fingers that next scenario will work properly with AI in mind. Its not you Rezun that i'm angry about. its the developers i'm upset about and the fact that if you are too far away from earth origin the gps drifts away on its own.

yes but i like streamed on twitch yesterday and showcased the problem. al i did was go above your planet Erebus in a asteroid and all i had was a safezone some cargo boxes and a platform with build and repair. then i wanted to use pam but it got broken and nobody but i mean NOBODY in keen discord knows how to fix the problem. Oh and i used your miner that you get from the start. so why would you have a pam scripted miner in there if it doesn't dock properly?

PAM can't properly calculate large numbers. When you go too far from the center of the world, it won't work. You will have to use SCAM instead.

Grid AI report to Keen. Could behave weird for a number of reasons, including too big PCU load or the above reason.

this world might need to be redone from scratch again. the miner you gave is broken. pam goes back and forth in it at docking with a offset position. vanilla AI blocks act weirdly.
