Okay so i found out that mod was semi-broken
Footsteps were not working if you load CUP, and that was making youhear vanilla footsteps instead. It is completly fixed but mod now requires CBA.

@Talon_Operative *wet mud* effect is caused by arma humidity param, and if you are hearing it constantly, that means that it was raining a lot or a terrain maker is just a silly goose

@ᴀʙᴄᴛᴘᴀ they do exist in vanilla, as well as the maps you are playing on either set humidity up high, or just use those kind of materials

New sound for rain and dirt(?) footsteps is so-o-o annoying. Doesn't hear anything except SHLEP-SHLEP-SHLEP and PLOOP-PLOOP-PLOOP. And some custom maps from Workshop is SHLEP-SHLEP-SHLEP and PLOOP-PLOOP-PLOOP.

Whenever I see this kind of project, I get excited. Compared to skins, this is the true foundation of a game.

yes, that's right but my problem is that I use the objects from sog to build missions from 2000 to 2030 and somehow the sounds from sog aren't there. But if it's not possible then so be it. too bad.

Hi, noticed that there was no walking on snow footstep on Island Panthera (winter) (surface type "#IBRwintherasnowSurface"), also surface "#IBRwintherawoodSurface" (I think) was mistaken as wooden floor instead of soil in woods, thanks!

Added interior sounds, optimised volume on all footsteps so they will sound consistent, changed snow, dirt, mud, concrete, wood, sand, gear sounds.

Hi, I came up with an idea for this mod while creating a stealth scenario. Would it be possible to add a function using getAnimSpeedCoef or audibleCoef that adjusts the volume of the steps, depending on the audible or speed coefficient of a unit?

@webknight Hi, I'm not sure if this has already been discussed yet but I noticed that sog praire fire cdlc overrides your mod's footstep sounds and at least some of the sounds from your SFX remastered version. I haven't figured out how to disable sog praire fire sounds yet or if its even possible at all. I know that they do have some module options to disable environmental and such sounds but they don't seem to work for me at least.

If you or anyone else here knows any tricks on how to force your mod to override their cdlc's sounds, I would appreciate it very much.

Is it possible to apply the walking sounds only to the player and not to all units? So a kind of individual smells.

I really really like this mod, but the footstep audio is much louder than Vanilla. Wish there was a way to turn it down by like 20%
