I understand :). just noticed other people seemed to have similar issues to me in the past and thought they might find it useful as it's a minor config change people can do if they need/want to

@Deathreak, I'm done modding xcom and not planning to come back any time soon. Manually adding new abilities to the list should do the trick on your end though

You can get this mod to work with surrender and non-lethal combat, simply add 'FTB_StayDown' (for non-lethal combat) and 'BeCaptured' (For the surrender mod) to the excluded abilities in No Unconscious AI's XcomGame.ini

This mod by design conflicts with «non-lethal combat». Use only one.

[WotC] No Unconscious AI conflicts with surrender mod, add "surrender" to the excludedabilities in the xcomgame.ini doesnt help,
it doesnt crash or anything, if u click surrender it just doesnt do anything

@Nider001 Thank you very much for your reply. I think I'm going to switch to your mod then since it seems to be the superior option with my current mod setup.

@Karmapowered, hello. From the looks of it, "Less Unconscious War of the Chosen" simply edits some of the existing vanilla abilities. "No Unconscious AI", on the other hand, checks and alters all abilities dynamically, meaning it should be compatible with abilities from other mods as long as mine is further in the load order

Hello,

may I please ask what the difference is between your mod and this one ? The second one came as recommended by the XCOM2 mods reddit , and I would like to take a motivated decision before committing.

Thank you for your insight and sharing your mod with the community here.

@Kiruka, alright, I added it
Kiruka 22 Mar, 2022 @ 8:47am
Can we also get "StabilizeMedkitOwner" added to the list? It's used by the Stabilize Me mod to stabilize a bleeding out soldier with their own Medikit.

Hmm, must be another conflict then. Though, even if the VIP was considered "Lost" and I didn't need to carry them, they still appeared as captured after the mission so oh well.
Nider001  [author] 13 Mar, 2022 @ 12:13am
@SutiituS, unfortunately I wasn't able to reproduce your issue. Subdue ability is added to exclusion list by default, meaning the mod does not affect it in any way
SutiituS 12 Mar, 2022 @ 1:51pm
One issue i've experienced is that VIP auto die when trying to subdue them
Nider001  [author] 3 Mar, 2022 @ 6:42am
@Kiruka, alright, I added "ParaMedikitStabilize" to the list
Kiruka 3 Mar, 2022 @ 6:30am
@Nider001 I've actually added this mod as a required item to my Playable XCOM 2 Aliens For LWOTC mod to avoid the scenario of being in a Full Salvage mission and knocking the last enemy unconscious, making you lose out on their corpse.
Nider001  [author] 3 Mar, 2022 @ 6:21am
@Kiruka, hey, looks like you are the person who manages the Mod Jam for Long War 2. Are you planning to include this mod as well? If that's the case then I certainly don't mind
Kiruka 3 Mar, 2022 @ 5:43am
Any chance you could add ParaMedikitStabilize as well?
Nider001  [author] 28 Feb, 2022 @ 9:35pm
@Traveler, yes, this situation is quite rare. There are some examples right below your comment
Nider001  [author] 28 Feb, 2022 @ 9:33pm
@Kiruka, thank you for the report. The mod should only disable Unconscious for AI-controlled units and I did confirm this with various abilities. Perhaps a bleeding out soldier counts as AI-controlled, so I'm adding Stabilize abilities to exclusion list. The fix is up
Kiruka 28 Feb, 2022 @ 7:41pm
It seems like when running this mod, even XCOM soldiers can't be unconscious. I.E. let's say you use Stabilize on a bleeding out soldier, they automatically get back up instead of laying on the ground unconscious.

I've played this game many times and don't think I've ever had this happen. Is it an effect caused by specific mods or do you have to have a particular combonation of effects/attacks?
[Dragunov37] 24 Feb, 2022 @ 12:44am
well, I roughly understood, only the fact is that it’s not your bad explanation of the error in the game that bothers me, just the language barrier
Nider001  [author] 24 Feb, 2022 @ 12:34am
@[Dragunov37], I'll expand my two examples from the description. Let's say you mind controlled a Stun Lancer or got one from Inside Agent bonus and said lancer proceeds to knock some advent unit Unconscious. Now, if the mission requires killing all enemies, you can no longer win it, because you can't shoot at downed units (unless you have some AOE abilities or grenades). As for the second example, once AI attempts to move a downed unit it freezes and all units that should've moved afterwards skip their turn as a result. There may be other examples, but these are the only ones I encountered personally.

tl dr: knocking enemies Unconscious is bad unless it's by design (e.g. subduing a dark vip).
[Dragunov37] 24 Feb, 2022 @ 12:24am
I never figured out what this fixes, but I'll save the mod just in case.
dmc32 22 Feb, 2022 @ 12:15pm
thanks, very good quality of life mod imo, AI freeze over an unconscious unit is maddening.
Nider001  [author] 22 Feb, 2022 @ 10:07am
Thank you, I actually forgot to exclude them. The fix is up
Kiruka 22 Feb, 2022 @ 9:21am
This might be a dumb question, but what about Dark VIPs? Does this mod do anything to how they can be knocked out?
