Selct the programmable block name launch missile. Type precise_switch into the argument line and hit run. The script will now aim the missile at the part of the target near the center of your aim. For mor information checkout whiplashs Guide on the wham and lamp script

Regarding the firing mechanism. The main reason is for the hydrogen tanks to be filled it needs a connvyor connection. A 3x3x2 connector was to bulky and the merger 1x1x1 has no conveyor. A small advance rotor 1x1x1 would have been an alternativ until you want to reload your missiles. On would need to add hinge head, add a conveyor interchange, add a projector and load the Missile blueprint, for every individual missile. The new small advance rotor would have had the same problem. There is also a merger double hinge connection but that would add a extra sub grid just like the hinge and rotor.

The disadvantage of the tantos missile sytem is that the gatling needs ammo and need to be operational to fire. It also adds a gatling gun for every missile but that could also be a advantage by increasing forepower with every fired missile. Its also not compatipl with weapons core and the gatling guns firing at the conveyor, need to be turned of after reloading the missile. But one main advantage is that you can reload the missiles by turning on the projector and fly near a welder. Reaming all 4 missiles can be rebuild in 30 sec. Sorry for the long answer. Very clever design. Love all the camera placements and functional thought behind everything. Very well done. The missile design is very strange - shooting it to release. Why not a merge block? I think I'll remove the missiles and just make it a fighter. Thanks!

Hello Lando, thanks for your question. Follow these steps.
1. Hit button 2. on hotbar 4 to turn on the projector.
2. weld up the missing blocks.
3. hit button 5 on hotbar 4 to set up the Gatling guns again.

Thank you yes the form factor was one of the main Design ideas for the Tanto ^^ I also have seen a ,erger double Hinge combo also very small.

Makes user error less likely, yes. I would probably use AQD Small Grid expansion, which has a 1x1x1 small grid connector, along with the new small grid merge block. I'd have to redesign the misile a little, but I guess I gain some extra space on the ship since I'd remove a gatling per missile, so it might still work.

This is why most small grid missiles are electrically powered, or are 3x3 cross section. This is a really nice exercise in making a smaller missile though.

Hello Kaito, thank you for your comment. im not familiar enough with Weaponcore so thank you faor adding that. so Weapon core weapons cant damage own grids? sounds good actually custom turret and turrets some times shoot their own grid ^^ The best solution would be if merger had a conveyor on them to disonnect Missiles

Hey DerMakrat! Nice to see you putting out new stuff.

Feel free to add this to the remarks:

If you use weaponcore, you need to put the missile gatlings' "cycle shoot mode" on your hotbar and cycle them to "KeyFire" mode. Then fix the timers to use "shoot" for release in the greyed out second slot.

Shoot mode does not persist. If you reload or rejoin server, you have to set it again, which is why I said to put it on your hotbar. Remember doing that before shooting, or you go visit the enemy along with your missile.

Hello DarkXeRoX make sure there is gatling ammo in the Gattling guns with "Missile" in the name. They "disconnect" the missile by shoting the conveyor connecting the missile to the tanto

love the lil thing however when i fire a missile at a target it doesn't let go of the ship, what am i doing wrong ?
