[SOCI] Chain: Rescue Resistance Leader

Hi @TeslaRage, is it possible to:

1.) set out a timeframe for when this chain can trigger. This can just proc whenever in CI, so if I set the minimum to 2 and start with 1 soldier, I could literally get a mission within the first week to rescue someone, which seems way to early.

2.) Respect character pool settings. It just generates random soldiers rather than picking who I set out for the respective classes.

Still a great mod, thanks a lot!

Scratch my confusion. It's adding a chain to rescue a field support soldier. Just properly read that mod's description (teach me not to go mod hunting at 2am) and it has a config to fire this chain too.

it is not necessarrily correct that no other soldier can have this class, also everything can be changed in the config. If she would be the only one being able to have this class wouldn't this mod be useless?

I'm confused. I have Jane Kelly in my gatecrasher squad (from starting Jane Kelly), she has the resistance leader class (from the prof class mod). I get back to the avenger. This mission instantly pops. She's not dead, which is irrelevant, becuase it's looking for her class in the barrack. But she's in the barracks with this class so surely it shouldn't pop. If I change the limit to 1 or 0 it still pops. Why is it 2 by default anyway? If she is alive you only have 1 in the barracks. So you are always going to have less than 2 WOTC_APA_DirectorKelly class soldiers. Since she is the only one who can have that class.

@TeslaRage - Is it intentional that you have no hours in XComGameBoard for the covert action? All Covert actions in CI have hours.

My bad, guess I misinterpreted " if she falls to the hands ..." as "has fallen ..." (as with Mox in the Prologue), which actually would be a cool story by itself imho. But then "if she falls to the hands" is not exactly the same as "if she gets killed", so the wording is a bit open to misinterpretation.

@Flambeau200061 Its explained in the mod description. Its not about rescuing Jane Kelly, its about getting a replacement for Jane Kelly (which is a special class with Proficiency Plugin) if she dies in your campaign.

Perhaps a stupid question, but required items says "Proficieny Class Jane Kelly" - obvious. But that mod says required item "Jane Kelly Starting soldier". So now I get her as a staring soldier. How am I going to rescue her if she's not captured? Or can I just ignore/disable that requirement?

Does it grab any random soldier from the pool and make them "Jane Kelly" or does it check for the Jane Kelly class? Can you make it do the latter?

@Haite Yea it serves as an alternative. The idea was to have a way to recruit non-GTS classes. I am thinking to have a super soldier in my roster as well and making them not obtainable via GTS and only via this chain, and with a limit of 1. Hope you enjoy it!

I was very confused why Kelly was still showing up in the starting mission, but then I realised that is for additional soldiers from that class, not a replacement. Excellent mod! Very cool alternative to regular recruitment

@N.C.V. Yes, that would work. And yes, the mod will spawn the chains for both classes i.e. you might get Resistance Leader class this month, and next month you might get Keeper. The game will only spawn one chain per month for whichever class that is still less than 2 in barracks.

Is the Keeper class option "+RescueClasses = (ClassName = "Keeper", Limit = 2, MinComInt = eComInt_Genius)"? Also, if we add this line and keep the original one, does it let the mod generate missions for both classes?
