Got it all working now, thanks for your help :)

It is odd, I can't replicate the crash no matter what size of galaxy I use, a similar crash was found before but has already been fixed, make sure you are using the latest version of the mod, it should be 4.0.8

Testing with only this mod enabled.

Game launches fine and gets to main menu, no issues creating or editing empire templates. Loading into a new game as one of preset empires from this mod, 600 stars, crashes the game. The crash log near the bottom seems to be, referencing invalid traits/leader generation.

Could be the species maybe?

I have good news for you, I found a workaround for the Zero origin, it is now playable again in 4.0

back to 3.14 i am xD i was loving to invade galaxy from zero dimension also thanks for making it work on 4.0 the civ i loved this civ

That might have to do with a lot of the effects changing, I do not know all the new effects that replace them yet so fixing it is currently beyond my capabilities, I will lock it in the mean time

zero dimension origin gives a instant game over for me on 4.0 now

As it stands right now, the hoi4 mod is pretty much unrecoverable, with my modding skills alone at least. Your best bet is just playing it on an older version of the game.

I would just like to ask if the hoi4 mod is abandoned and that there are zero plans to update it anymore.

You need to be running the Warship Girls R And MIST Species mod first to use them as those species are made for that mod

I can't use the 'Shurai WSG & Shenhai' species as it adds the trait 'ship rigging' but it requires 'naval doll' archetype which they aren't and the trait can't be removed and the trait lists is empty andy you got 0 trait points & picks.

I assume the Season 2 means that the HOI4 Mod was Season 1 obv and technically the OG One and this goofy one is a continuation of the mod but in space.

I don't understand this at all. Searching only brings up a Hearts Of Iron mod, also by you. But this thing somehow has it's own story, that is at 'season 2'?

can you tell me more information about this mod?
