By the way if it is actually the best Run Speed % race, might actually install this one in an eternity when i will create another character, lol.

Or for solo try of FU UI suffer intensifies, if it's not ruining previous characters and already created systems, so i can just ask to subscribe to this one other people.

Also i use easy mode, so i avoid that feed me even more than 5 minute im hungry already of other races. He-he :lunar2019coolpig:

Just tried the thing. Did not notice any furniture in building menus or tech tree (I'm not too attentive so this says nothing), but no prob anyway since respawn random trader tenant till neki then buy neki stuff, then respawn neki traders till have all stuff. Cat makes a nice player character or a passive tenant/crew. What irritated me to no end was attempt to have a neki teammate. Like vast majority of phrases are toilet humor - it's my nagging best reserved for main mod thread, here I'll just say that neki main char and tenants are quite ok.

cats can eat plants sometimes but... it gives them too much fiber
(this is actually why they eat plants) and you probably know what lots of fiber does to your colon

Oh sure, it’s just a game anyways and it’s nyat like their “real” cats. I’m just making commeowntary on it.

It’s fairly “uncatty” though to ban milk from them though…

FU's diet config categories are fairly broad, unless you're willing to go over every single food item in the game and in FU and add them one by one to a species' edible/inedible and beneficial/detrimental categories.

Though uncommon, cats can eat watermelon, cantaloupe, and other fruits. Mind you, meat is their primary diet.

They're also known to drink milk almost as a meme, but its not good for them. You probably should have chosen Legumes and grains as their non-food source. But it is what it is.

Thank you, that is not something I've considered at all, to be honest.
I'll take a look at what Kawa did with the Felin and see if I can perhaps do something similar, thank you for mentioning it because I wasn't aware of this, as I've never played the Felin race ._.

@SpiriT & @Juni, Regarding claws as hunting weapon: I haven't played a new run with this Neki mod just yet, but in assuming Neki Claws are a proper fist-type weapon toggled with M1/M2, you could take a similar approach to Kawaoneechan's Felin Race mod: instead of a hunting weapon (I presume the lag would come from the low RoF demonstrated in Neki's screenshots, thus applying the Hunting Weapon debuff frequently), Kawa gave the Felin a racial Tech attack fired off with F, would would have to be used as the "killing strike" to proc hunting drops.

Whether or not you go with that, I hope it's helpful insight (in the event you haven't already considered and decided against it).

If you're playing FU for the first time, definitely go with the FU ship. There's a lot of gameplay mechanics that FU introduces that the vanilla ship doesn't support.

Thanks for this mod! Do you suggest I use vanilla ship or FU ship with Neki? I get a warning when selecting I would miss some enhancements if not selecting FU ship.

Thank you for your answer. And I feel like Neki's claws don't need anything. Neki are just cute little war machines that love noisy toys and tearing guts out of everyone they find tasty enough. Totally in love with this mod)

Neko's claws are too strong (you need to reduce damage by 30%), and the armor needs to be completely rebalanced, if only to make it as interesting as the main types of armor from Fu. The race and their technologies will sparkle with new colors.

I considered that from day one, but unfortunately with the way Starbound is - the necessary code changes would make the game lag especially bad when using them :(

Hi) Did you ever concidered making Neki's claws a hunting weapon? So it could fit in Neki's general personality and creating a good way to obtain raw meat as a natural hunter

Currently, the Sniper Rifle mastery in FU affects the "Crit Chance" and the "Magazine Size" stats, if I understand the FU masteries script correctly.

In the Neki mod go to /scripts/nekinightvision.lua and find the line that says "math.min(125...", then change the number 125 to a higher value, up to 255.

Yea, you're all good. I shouldn't expect any ol' collection to just work if I slap Neki into it. Sorry I couldn't figure out what was conflicting so I just went with a simpler modlist. On the note of my Omnivore patch, I just used the legacy "raw_omnivore" replace value instead of trying to wrap my head around the new syntax.

I couldn't reproduce your issue.
Clean Starbound client + Neki 0.98.3 + Frackin' Universe 6.4.3 + NekiFU 0.50
All of the species stats work fine and show up in the Character Creation, the Tricorder and the Adv. Stats windows correctly.

Do a mod elimination to see what causes it in your case.

Hi, this doesn't appear to be working at the moment. I can tell because it doesn't show up in the tricorder and I can eat fruit without consequence meaning the diet isn't kicking in.

I found this out because I'm trying to make an Omnivore patch, similarly to how I did for the Mechineki but since then they've changed the diet value from a simple value replacement to a list, and the wiki isn't too helpful about the syntax therein.

As far as I'm aware, none of the elemental effects/resistances on items in Starbound stack, which is probably by design.

when you have two T5s with different types their resistance bonuses don't stack. is this intentional?

I couldn't reproduce your issue :(
I've created a Brain Harvester on my Neki character and it seems to be working fine - with just Frackin' Universe, Neki and NekiFU installed - so I assume the issue you're experiencing must be caused by another mod T_T

You'll have to do some elimination to figure out which one, and once you do - please let me know and I'll see if it is something I can fix on my end.

@Juni Hi,juni ,found FU's BrainHarvester turn to PerfectItem on the Research tree and on the item bag,as the other player showup the brainharvester and Neki player's game will crash to the desktop.can u check that out ? here's the log

These are their stats, and they have been carefully balanced in accordance with FU's official balance sheet. If they're not to your liking, feel free to download the non-Steam, unpacked version and modify them to your heart's content ^-^

To quote the person who commented before you in the feedback thread above:
"...for sniper rifles it's a small crit chance boost and a ammo capacity boost"

So it shouldn't affect the damage directly, which is how it is in FU :)

Okay so
That Sniper rifle mastery? It isn't increasing Attack. I have to test if it increases damage, maybe it's bc it's a modded sniper rifle idk, but i've tested the Assault Rifle from the same mod and it works with Assault Rifle mastery. Might be a false alarm idk at the moment...

being able to get up to positive phys resist without needing to usesome combination of the strongest T6/7 phys resist armors in the mod and consumables is pretty neat.
