@VectorMane yes, this mod fixes all of the isdsues caused by the original mod being incredibly out-of-date. You'll still need the original mod active alongside this one in order to have the graphics.

Initial testing does not show the AI purge its own Pops when playing as the Holofrixit. Can you provide more specifics of when this is/was happening?

Updated for 3.6 "Orion."

I'll need to take a look at what's causing the AI to purge Pops as the custom empire - it shouldn't be interested in purging them in the first place, so I hadn't made any special provisions to prevent them from being purged.

Alright, I figured it out. It wasn't the policies, it was the 00_citizenship_types in the species_rights file that needs to be changed. After messing with the code enough, I finally made it so that it's impossible for the holospheres to purge their population, let alone give them full citizenships. I've effectively got rid of their ability to do so. Best part, it's only limited to the pops with trait_holodrone, trait_hologanglion and trait_holowarrior. The main species is left mostly untouched.

I recommend you add :

NOT = { has_authority = "auth_holofrixit" }
or
NOR = { has_authority = "auth_holofrixit" }

To the Valid section of purge_allowed and purge_displacement_only in the policies file to stop the ai from purging their own pops.
You can also put that into refugees_only_citizens and refugees_not_allowed to make them stop taking refugees.

@Electrochemical Alchemist unfotunately I don't know what to tell you. That sounds correct. Do note there may be some issues until I am able to update for 3.5.1 - there were some changes to how portraits are defined (hair is now attachment).

@Electrochemical Alchemist Any luck? I double-checked that the uploaded files for this mod are exactly equivalent to my local copy of the mod, i.e. everything is uploaded properly to Steam. I'm able to run the game with this mod and the required Holosphere Rising mod active, and see all the portraits and graphics.

I'm having a problem wih the portraits, visuals, most of the gfx with this mod. They all seem to be missing aside from the description for the origin and the effect taken from the dimensional invaders.

@Darrien that is correct, all the graphics are from Silfae's original mod. And for whatever reason, she chose to put the graphic at this path: gfx/interface/icons/governments/holofrixit_network.dds

@Darrien where is the icon missing? It shows for me on the government selection screen once I select the appropriate Origin. You must select Origin: Hive-Network before it becomes available.

@Stranger unfortunately, that leads to compatibility problems with other mods that want to add species. Do watch this space - I'm still working on compatibility with 3.1 "Lem."

This mod is a remake of https://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=868965217 (and in fact, requires it in order to work).

I'll take a look at the other one, maybe there are some interesting ideas there too. However, major changes are on hold until after 3.1 (coming Sept 14th) because I'll need to update _all_ of my mods for the changes.

There seems to be two similar but different older versions of this mod.

The 1st has the origin, as you can see by scrolling down - its near the top after the artwork.

The original mod was released long before origins existed. I converted most of the custom Holofrixit gameplay to be controlled by a (new) origin, but it does require you to use the Holofrixit special authority, which itself requires that you use the Holofrixit portraits.

If you have a link to another old mod, I'd love to take a look.

I`m glad to see this mod is finally updated, as I found the old version ages ago before it was no longer compatible.

I presume this mod includes the origin too that goes with the Holosphere specie pack?

@Xyre255 I think you mean all the Holofrixit species. :) In this case, I intentionally left them as completely separate species so that it isn't possible to grow lots of drones very quickly and then convert them to other castes. It seemed too easy to double-dip of the benefits of fast drone growth but boosted production from the Ganglions/Holofrixigrams.

I think I am going to make the Xechiros able to reproduce without assembly - it feels like too much of a nerf to have only Drones/Warriors able to breed.

Would it be possible for all the Xirmian species to be considered subspecies instead? Them being sperate species seems like a bit of a leftover of older days before subspecies were a thing. Also thanks for keeping this mod alive.

I'm working on some bugfixes that I noticed after uploading. In particular, they started eating food after I made them organic - need to make a small adjustment.
