DDI - Deep Drill Indicator

The resource icons get in the way, so I can't see clearly when placing a deep drill or building walls around it. A toggle to turn them on and off is needed.
Also, having an option to only show the far view would be helpful—it's more intuitive for locating specific resources from the base. Personally, I don't need the small icons that appear when zoomed in.

Actually it seems its not that, sometimes the mod just breaks and I have to reinstall it to make the texts appear properly. not sure why, but usually tinkering with it a bit in RimPy or reinstalling it fixes it.

Hey just a heads up I think this mod conflicts with Sarg Bjornson's "Better Ground Penetrating Scanner." I love this mod btw - literally can't play without it anymore. Great work.

it could be that "," and "." is somewhere messing with the calculations, because I did no good job with a localized proof approach

My game language is English. I had not used the labels mod before, but it seems to work ok for me.

Honestly, it is not that big a deal, especially if I am the only one having the issue.

at the moment I can only think that something weird may be happening because of some localization on your end
does the Mod "LabelsOnFloor" result in the same bug?

@Abyss, had the same, but after starting once and saving again, the error message was
gone, guess cause I altered the ModSettings Class responsible to actually save the data

For me it's a similar issue. On the main base, it works now, but on my 2nd base some deposits remain without icons and some icons appear over ground without resources

love the update that shows a large icon of the resource :), but the first one i depleted is still showing that its there, in 15 uranium in 1 tile, save reload and on/off of scanner was tried
Edit: Just seems to have a delay for a bit before it removes the display, the uraniums gone now

I have to hustle a lot at work atm but the error is now confirmed and im working on a "big" update
changing the way the overlay is printed from ground up

my testing branch does already work, but I still struggle to print the Text onto the resource fields

sadly huge cpu hit, 7800X3D cant handle it. fps tank massively when in this overlay
I would guess update rate is too high but uneducated guess.

I play on huge map and ground pen scanned for a while, I'd say 1/6 of my map has underground veins. When ever I click on scanner or deep drill, in 1x speed it tanks from 60 fps to 20. vanilla has no perf. hit.

Would be cool to get settings to tweak how it looks at different stages. Like i'd like to have it be the vanilla layout with just a single icon (plasteel image, uranium image, etc)

Okay, I will share my save when Im free but how it happens is this. normally this mod shows its UI elements only when the scanner or the deep drill is selected, this makes the game stutter only when you selecth those. But with the latest update, even when nothing is selected and although no UI elements are showing up on screen, it stutters the game as if you have selected a deep drill or a scanner, I guess it still renders it. I am currently using an old version of this mod to be able to use this mod without the headache. I hope this explanation helps without the save file, but I will share it when I am free.

Okay I removed the mod from my modlist and the performance increased considerably, like around 80 to 100%.

I am getting the same issue the guy is getting here, but in the last 2 weeks it just happened in 3 separate sessions. It doesnt happen in every instance Harmony patches from Dubs Perf Analyzer shows an abnormally high activity from DDI.

I also renamed my Patch so there is no possible scramble with potential other Mods that also use the HarmonyPatch name :)
