what
It's totally separate from my act mods, but if you've enjoyed the enemy, event, relic, and card designs in my act mods, you may enjoy Corrupt the Spire too. Hope everyone gives it a try!
- A20 Act 1 is significantly harder with the Menagerie (multi hit warpig, elusive wraith and thorny experiment each have about 50 hp and can show up in the first fight.)
-A20 observer mechanic is quite unfair given that fewer hard hits should be a fair way of dealing with problems in Act 3. Its the equivalent of having about 200-300 hp depending on how long the fight lasts. The fact that it gains more of all of its resources over time and hits very hard is frustrating.
I was no ready for the 4th act changes I love how the elite fight before the boss specifically counters the smoke bomb strategy! I didn't have one on the run I beat them but I can't imagine the heartbreak if I did. I also really enjoyed the custom debuffs and statuses from the heart replacement. Having an enemy directly counter specific playstyles by weakening them (reducing str and healing for example) makes the fight really feel like a race against time. [\spoiler]
@Psycokill I'm not sure why Spire with Friends wouldn't work with the modded act 4 boss -- maybe the way the map is set up confuses it, though my act 4 uses the same approach as the base game's act 4. It may be worth reporting this as a potential bug with Spire with Friends, since I know Spire with Friends isn't fully compatible with all other mods yet.
@zrgrush Glad you gave the acts a try! I think you'll find things substantially harder on A20. FWIW, I do think there's a decent number of unique enemy powers spread throughout the acts; a lot of enemies are either structured around a new unique power or combine powers/move patterns from the base game in new ways. And yeah, I may have gone slightly overboard on the statuses for some fights :).
However, my main complaint is that there are too many status cards added. I can barely keep track of them all, and it seems like at the end of the day many of them are similar to burn, or they add base game statuses to your deck. All the confusion seems rather unnecessary.
Love modes with new creatures. Thanks.
@RabbitStew, what you've reported with being able to click the boss icon for another fight is a really interesting one. I reproduced this on both the Menagerie and another act mod (Gensokyo), so your guess that this might be a bug in ActLikeIt or some other library looks spot on to me. Luckily all you have to do is avoid this one is not click the boss icon again :). Makes it less urgent, but I may take some time to poke around to figure out where the bug is coming from so I can recommend a fix to the right person. Thanks for reporting this.
Also not on "The Abyss" but on "The Menagerie", you can fight the act boss again after defeating the boss by going to the map screen and select the boss node (even after choosing a boss relic).
Unsure if this can also be reproduced on the other act mods of yours (or even it's not a bug on your side but the ActLikeIt's.)
