I looked into the file struktures to see if any major updates are necesary. Luckily the contents of the relevant files are the same.
So I updated this mod, ensuringit works on the modern versions. Tell me if you find any problems, but it should continue to work fine.

it's mostly working atm but would be a good idea to update it at some point to keep it stable
RagingDoughnut 14. maj 2023 kl. 22:30

I was away from Stellaris for a while, but I got around to update my mods finally.
I looked if anything changed and did some quick checks to ensure this still works bugfree.
But I haven't had a lot of time, so please tell if you experience any new problems in the new version.

update?

From what I've seen in other threads, the "cannot assemble robots" thing happens because something changed from 2.9 and 3.0 (?), and older mods (obviously) do not account for that change.

I looked up what could be the issue.
After some further testing I found no problem however. I tried multiple setups and both biological and mechanical pops can be assembled.
The problem you face most likely occures because of a conflict with an other mod.

I opened a bug report channel. It is a place to provide further discussions about problems with this mod. Here the questions and the answers can be more indepth.

I have been unable to assemble pops in Herbert. I went piece by piece to find the culprit, and unfortunately this was the one. It appears the problem you had with Lem is back, sorry to say.

to the curious, the machines having less traits probably stems from Paradox wanting to pre-nerf them because they expected them to be too strong in multiplayer...which to me means traits for organics need a buff, not machines needing nerfs

The issue was exactly what The Paragon found.
I only just now got the time to update it to version 3.1 and it seems the strukture of the file changed between the versions. It's fixed now, so you shall be able to assemble pops again.
Tell me if you find any other problems!

Found out why: he forgot to included "robotic = yes" for Robots and Machine. He also forgot "uses_modifiers = no" for Presapients and Other.

robots are unable to assemble pops

This mod is currently causing me to be unable to assemble pops, wether it be organic or robotic pops. I don't know if it's a mod conflict or not, but disabling this mod only allows for me to assemble pops without issue.

I managed to solve this problem. I updated the mod to the fixed version.
The cause was the nameing of files. It loaded the new values on start but couldn't modify it it later,.Changing the name solved it.
Tell me if you still experience any problems.

I am also having the same issue as Crazy Doc and cannot find out how to fix it
CrazyDoc_SW 9. apr. 2021 kl. 18:13
Unfortunately, while this mod does what it says it does, no matter how many gene-modding points I get, I can never get more points to modify my species. Probably a conflict with one of my (many) other mods.

Originally they have less, and I kept this difference.
I don't know why exactly Paradox did it this way. Maybe balance or flavor could be the reason.

why do Machines get less
