@kessa_81 This mod doesn't do anything if you unsubscribe from it; there's no permanent change to the game. Which means that I think you're actually setting the one-sided road via the vanilla zoning tool (the one inbuilt into the game), not this mod. Set that back to double-sided and you should be fine.

As to the button, that would depend if you've been using this mod's button or the vanilla game button.
kessa_81 18 Mar @ 7:41am
when i use this it sometimes selects a one-sided road and i cant change it even after I unsubscribe from it. Plus the button is a little buggy and I have to pres a few times to get it. Any updates or other mods that might help fix this?
patrioticparadox 10 Feb @ 8:44am
Working great here
Blinking Ice 4 Jan @ 12:41am
the icon button seems to be buggy when used together with network anarchy

I don't know how to upload screenshots in the workshop, so I uploaded one myself, as shown in the picture, I don't know if this is normal

Without modifying the Settings, the offset retains the default value of "0", and only upgrades the 1U wide road to a 2U wide road.
мићулица 29 Dec, 2024 @ 3:49am
i can show you a picture of roads without block zones, on vanila options i have both side of the road turned on, but there are nothing. Maybe an old mode is making a problem, ill see now!
algernon  [author] 28 Dec, 2024 @ 9:44pm
@miculica This mod has no functionality to alter zones after they're placed, so I'd say your issue is most likely with another mod you're using, probably an old/outdated one. But without any detailed information from you it's really impossible to say.
мићулица 28 Dec, 2024 @ 6:06am
At the start mod was perfect, after some time, the zone blocks disapear on all roads, Someone help?
algernon  [author] 27 Dec, 2024 @ 4:35am
@我的小鱼你醒了 Make sure you are using the same settings when upgrading as you did with placement.
我的小鱼你醒了 26 Dec, 2024 @ 5:52pm
A 1U wide road and a 2U wide road generate a different partition offset, the original partition will be moved when the road is upgraded, causing the building to be torn down automatically, whereas in the original game the 1U wide road and the 2U wide road have the same partition

Thank you algernon for continuing to update your mods for the latest update

@Merlin St.Wahgwaan I'm talking about the vanilla zoning toggle, the one that allows you to toggle zoning one/both/neither side. It's definitely there in the map editor (leftmost button in the toolbar at the bottom-left when placing roads), and definitely works (not necessarily visible in the editor, but the both/left/right/none functionality still works correctly (i.e. is correctly set when you start a new city on that map.

I've just tested it myself to re-confirm just now, and it all works as it should. Perhaps you should re-check?
Merlin St.Wahgwaan 20 Nov, 2024 @ 8:48am
@algernon there is no zoning tool in the Map Editor. In test mode, I can delete the blocks, but those changes dont save back to the editor, and I cant even see the zone blocks in the Map Editor at all. As of RN, I cant even delete the zone blocks using your tool in test mode either, my only option is to replace the roads. To be clear, I want/need residential/non-highway streets without any zone blocks at all, not just streets with Empty Zone Blocks. The vanilla zoning tool can only empty/clear the zone blocks on the roads, it cant delete them. I need this is because i'm running in to the 32k "object limit" for Zone Blocks during a new map construction, even though my total road count is only around >18k. In the Map Editor, there are no zone options, no side-of-the-road selections, nothing; it just automatically applies zone blocks to all non-highway and non-railway roads essentially, even in the Tiles that are outside the "25 playable tiles" area on the map
algernon  [author] 19 Nov, 2024 @ 10:11pm
@Merlin St.Wahgwaan If all you want to do is remove zoning blocks completely (or selectively), then just use the vanilla zoning tool for that.
Merlin St.Wahgwaan 19 Nov, 2024 @ 5:31pm
Any chance of making this work in the Map Editor? All the roads placed on the map editor have pre-attached Zones, but no way to see or edit them, and I'd like to remove them for the map permanently, not just in my own save, so that all the roads have no zone blocks at all, except the ones I want too have the....

@memex Only what's in the description above, unless you can be more specific.

24m and 16m are just not aligning anymore. Could you help?
algernon  [author] 3 Oct, 2024 @ 8:46pm
@besiwrld No, zones are locked to terrain height.
metoda 3 Oct, 2024 @ 4:16am
Is there any mod that allows zoning on this road? https://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2664239947
It's an elevated road, so I want to have zones "in the air." Is that even possible?
Cloud 29 Aug, 2024 @ 11:43am
thanks :steamhappy:
algernon  [author] 29 Aug, 2024 @ 5:16am
@NEON There's a link to a couple of road collections in the description above, including mention of which ones include 8m width (1-tile) roads.
Cloud 28 Aug, 2024 @ 2:09pm
Does anyone know what the 1 tile wide alley road is called? I really need it
algernon  [author] 10 Aug, 2024 @ 6:00pm
@Gaúcho Builder There's not any known conflicts that would do that, but of course if you're using any old/broken mods then all bets are off. Make sure that your mod collection is up-to-date by using a tool like Skyve to identify any issues (and then make sure you act on the recommendations).

Does this mod confronts with another mod? cause with ZA 1.6, i cant open my game, but without, yes. Can someone help me? :steamhappy::steamhappy:

@antonpogeee In what way?
antonpogeee 3 Jul, 2024 @ 7:49pm
16 and 24m not aligned
algernon  [author] 15 May, 2024 @ 3:32pm
@Hansolo This mod works fine with the vanilla zoning tool. Check your settings for both the vanilla tool and this mod to make sure you haven't got one-side only zoning set.

If you still have issues, the next step is to make sure that you haven't got any old and outdated mods that are causing issues.
Hansolo 15 May, 2024 @ 2:34pm
Seems to be making it where I can't zone just half of the the road (just one side of the road) using the vanilla zoning tool. Is there any fix or alternative way to do this?
Sniper 23 Apr, 2024 @ 5:42am
Will do next time i boot up the game, thanks.
algernon  [author] 22 Apr, 2024 @ 4:50pm
@Sniper A mod conflict is most likely, but also check your vanilla zoning tool mode isn't set to override this mod (by setting no zoning).
Sniper 22 Apr, 2024 @ 10:06am
Having an issue with this mod where turning no priority on and trying to add zoning to new roads i build is causing no zoning to get added, almost tempted to remove the mod and see if there's a mod conflict, my modlist is so old i haven't changed anything other than swapping old mods out for new ones.
REDstoner 3 Jan, 2024 @ 10:07am
@raki-can ahhh the old not clipping to cardinal points trip.... if using precision engineering then holding ctrl will force road to 90* from placement making it "square to map" or try the round-a-bout technique of placing a stock round-a-bout near your network it will plop down in a N.E.S.W direction or 45* off if you right click..
raki-can 22 Nov, 2023 @ 4:54am
@algernon Thanks, after seeing your reply I thought about this again and tested a few things and luckily found the perfect solution.

Using Precision Engineering and activating angle snapping by pressing Ctrl where there were no valid snapping objects nearby, I was able to lay out a road perfectly parallel to the city borders.
All that remained was to extend this road to the edge of the area and create a right-angle turn.
algernon  [author] 22 Nov, 2023 @ 2:10am
@raki-can I don't think there is a mod candidate to solve that problem. My suggestion would be to draw one side as best you can, and then make sure you have a 90 degree angle off that corner - so you're only aligning roads, and not the map edge. If by the time you get to that third corner (with the second road) it's apparent that you're a bit off, then adjust your first road by demolishing it and building back out from the corner of the remaining road. At all times make sure your road junctions are locked to 90 degree angles, and your road lengths locked to 8m (on cell) increments in length. It might take a few tries, but that's the only way I can see to do that.
raki-can 21 Nov, 2023 @ 11:33pm
And...um, probably unrelated to this mod, but since you are an active and knowledgeable person, let me ask one more question.

I would like to frame the city with large roads straight along the borders of the city and fill them in nicely.
However, the game system does not treat the city borders as a snapping object, so I cannot draw the frame correctly.
And slightly misaligned streets show me that problem the moment I try to zone large areas in bulk.
Distorted spaces, collapsed grid, distorted zoneable area. It sucks.
This means that unless I redraw all the roads, I am left with useless blank spaces in the zones, which frustrates me.

Some buildings are available on maps with zero population, and a small percentage of them can be placed where there is no road connection, and (maybe) rotated at a certain angle with respect to the city border, but I can't lay roads along them later. (Not subject to snapping).

Could you please advise on a suitable mod candidate to solve this problem?
raki-can 21 Nov, 2023 @ 11:33pm
@algernon haha, you were right.
I actually tried the 4x4 zones, and they were very nice to look at.
While it is fun to see large single houses placed without gaps, I found that it simply looks better and is very inefficient for city population and other things.
algernon  [author] 21 Nov, 2023 @ 7:08pm
@raki-can I would dispute that recommendation; in fact, doing that will make it more likely that you get underutilized spaces. I would suggest that you don't do it.
raki-can 21 Nov, 2023 @ 6:43am
I saw in the general strategy information that a tip for the most efficient use of land is to "arrange a grid of 4x4 zones and fill in the rest after all have been built."
(because if there are more zones, the zones may be used by random buildings and some may not be utilized)
Is there some option that could be used to make this kind of zoning easier?
(Or could you consider adding a new option, or point me to another mod that you think would be appropriate?)
algernon  [author] 6 Aug, 2023 @ 9:03pm
@Hayran Then turn it off and just use the UUI button.
Hayran 6 Aug, 2023 @ 8:43pm
The UI Button of this mod is conflicting with the UI Button from Network Anarchy.

@FAGATRONX For CS1, no.

Anything similar to this that allows for more than 4 rows next to road?
algernon  [author] 16 Jun, 2023 @ 3:25am
@moo That's a known base-game bug (and no, this mod doesn't patch BuildingTool so couldn't possibly cause that error). Waiting on a fix from CO for that.
moo 15 Jun, 2023 @ 2:16pm
may be your mod, or a symptom of something else. happens when selecting the base game airport in the toolbar with the intent to plop it.

In the first picture the sidewalk has kind of a weathered, grungy appearance. Do you remember which theme that was?
