I love the upscale design matched with a generic look that makes these feel right for any city. The capacity is also much more appropriate and allows streetcars to clear popular stops.

Amazing! Any way we could get a half-generic livery for this one? By that I mean white top and line-coloured bottom of the tram.

In game : nothing append... my game and the tram work fine i guess...
I just report the message i get, maybe its usefull.
Or maybe i do something wrong, dont hesitate to tell me what :p

acceleration value is lower than default on this train. if you're subbed to AVO you can increase the acceleration so it runs faster.

anyone else get the trams not working causing massive tailback ? the trams become tangled; front carriage facing back etc ?

Mukanshin "Assets will work" it's not broken, it just can't load the effects. You can use it without the effects loaded.

"Assets will work but may have effects missing." ← As the Warning shows the asset will work but just miss a tail light effect - nothing special, nothing needed and just visible at night, so no real need to unsub as nothing will break - that's what a fallback is used for ;)

Anyway it might be a loading order issue in which the Vehicle Effects mod parses the VehicleEffectsDefinition.XML right before the Custom Effects Loader has provided the Effect.

In this case you guys should be able to "fix" the issue on your end by pressing alt+v once. This will let Vehicle Effects reload the vehicle definition file and find the now successfully loaded effect.

Later on I will take a look at the effect definition I provided to ensure it's not faulty in this upload.

try to unsub and resub the asset. it happens because Vehicle Effects can't find/can't load the EffectsDefinition.xml for it.

Unsubscribing to this asset as it is now causing an error when I load the game. Something to do with parsing a config file. Hope this helps so you can fix it, as it's a great asset.

Beautiful model! One question though, in sharp turns the articulating parts are "ripped apart" which looks unrealistic and frankly quite disturbing. Is there any way to extend these parts a little bit so they overlap more and it doesnt look like the tram splits into pieces?

[Delta ²k5] that makes perfect sense actually. i didn't really think much about the brake light when i made the asset so i ended up with train shader for the main model. i should try to play around with vehicle shader a bit more. thanks for the ideas :)

Hey, I checked the tram and gotta say: stunning work! :)

As I work on some LRTs too (MBTA Type 8 and Type 7) I did some research on the shaders and got an idea I'd like to share (probably you can use that on an update here too):

1. set the main models shader to "vehicle" - that will enable the use of indicators and brake lights
2. set the submesh of the head and tail lights to additive as you did already
3. use the train shader just to the windows to make them lit at night

This way you could use all features - but ofc. it's up to you if you wanna do so ;) I know it would be a not so easy task if you did not model the windows ;) also it's not that important ofc as the indicators are kinda small on that one :)

You can use AVO mod if you want to change the acceleration. I set it to 0.3 to make it feel more realistic. Default value is 1.

I'd like to suggest the SD-160 series of lightrail/trams for Cities Skylines (specifically the low floor version). These trams have users in Sacramento, San Diego, Salt Lake City, Denver, and Calgary (Canada). U.S. trams are under represented in this game and I'd love to see some come to C:S!

Thanks. Unfortunately, Citadis Sydney is a complely different tram to this Citadis. I can't really reuse any parts from this tram. I would've needed to make the asset from scratch.
