With the mod active, tasks disappear on the station.
If someone wants to use my mod for creating new mods. You can do it!
One thing I'm noticing is that half the time, projectiles simply phase through the ceramic armor and damages everything behind it but not the ceramic armor itself.
Perhaps this is a Space Engineers bug that's unrelated to this mod but I thought I'd let you know.
components can be founded in trade station.
that it is several times heavier, but also stronger than heavy armor.
For example, it can be "uranium armor", in reality there is an armor made of depleted uranium.... :)))
1. They are a very light material compared to steels.
2. They are hard, meaning they shatter or deform incoming projectiles effectively.
3. They are heat resistant.
4. They are brittle.
So, ceramic armor is light and very good at stopping both kinetic and energy weapons. However, ceramic armor is not as durable as metal armor, and cannot achieve the same multi-hit rating.
Unfortunately, Space Engineers doesn't have a way to model penetration without block destruction.
- Localization
- Block Component Settings
- Ceramic Component Recipes Settings
Now you can change blocks blueprint for your server
Can you make the screenshot?
I'll try to add support of the weapon core.
@masterfluffypants54
Just armored
I made Armored Windows
So we have what we have.
Pottery may not deform but actual mechanical ceramics like Silicon Carbide do.
Armor and heat panels on modern vehicles are not made out of silt sand and water.
Realistically speaking, ceramic doesn't deform...
Deformation damage in SE is a bit over the top, so the extra integrity is somewhat justified to counter it. But making Ceramic armor have a strong deformation resistance and maybe half the resistance of Heavy armor might put it in that sweet spot between blast doors (no deformation, no resistance, high integrity) and heavy armor (low deformation, high resistance, high integrity).
Just my random thoughts... not sure I even got that right...
About balance:
Heavy Armor: can take ≈280 rocket, 3300 kg
Caramic Armor: can take ≈90 rocket, 1100 kg
They have the same balance surability\weight.

Not soon(
@Anarch Cassius
Thanks
I want to get it added to the server I play on, but until integrity is back to a reasonable amount that's not really an option as it would upset the balance alot.
