I'd love to have a go at taking over this mod, it's one of my all-time favourites. Hit me up if you're interested.
leeal 9 Jul, 2022 @ 1:42am
installing this gave me a number of weird bugs, including the one Zoto reported. uninstalling for now
cjjohnson995 7 Jul, 2022 @ 10:24am
Please bring this back
Zoto 28 Jun, 2022 @ 12:40pm
Don't know if this is still abandoned but there seems to be a bug (or mod incompatiblity, can't rule it out myself) resulting in being unable to claim any systems as every empire gets classified as a 'major threat'
FirePrince  [author] 27 May, 2022 @ 4:14am
Update: Th3 3.3 version will not work with 3.4. If someone is willing to take this mod let me know. It is more or less abandoned now.
ositopardo123 20 May, 2022 @ 8:27am
does anyone know if the update 3.4 affect this mod?
Kennywnorth 12 Mar, 2022 @ 7:57pm
Thank you so much for updating this mod, its one of the vanilla-esque mods i have always enjoyed most
FirePrince  [author] 22 Jan, 2022 @ 12:59pm
Updated (LIBRA beta). Discussion
@BetterBusinessBrad: yes, it is possible, but still not active encouraged. I'll extend the docu soon. Primarily the subjects have better stats und freedom and some special events to interact with them.
CornBrad 19 Jan, 2022 @ 3:06pm
How did you change the independence wargoal now btw? Is it possible for multiple subjects to rebel? Something that is stupidly not possible in vanilla?
CornBrad 19 Jan, 2022 @ 3:05pm
What do member states *do* differently than normal subjects? I played around with the mod and I am having a hard time figuring that out. Does having a member state open up the possibility for the civil wars?
FirePrince  [author] 19 Jan, 2022 @ 1:13am
@BetterBusinessBrad: access to the Regendmaker control, convert subjects to member states.
CornBrad 18 Jan, 2022 @ 3:34pm
What functionality did you add for feudalism? I will try and test it out :)
FirePrince  [author] 17 Jan, 2022 @ 4:35pm
PS: added also fleet handover to subjects (via Regentmaker Control).
FirePrince  [author] 17 Jan, 2022 @ 4:30pm
Updated: Thx for feedback.
@Xanyr54: This should indeed not happen (and I'm also not sure when) but I closed 2 theoretical possibilities.
@BetterBusinessBrad: I added something (civic and another empire switch on Regentmaker Control).
@Violen Vaymire: What you described should no longer be possible.
Xanyr54 13 Jan, 2022 @ 7:40am
I've been finding whenever I release a new member state using the decision random relation modifiers are added to that nation and the other member states (though I think enlightened primitives are excluded from this.) for example through one play through all my member states lost 100 relationship with me permanently due to both of us being supremacists though I had a cooperative diplomatic stance the next play through I gained 100 with all of them because of the scion modifier being added to them all. I assume this is because of a variety of mods I have but wanted to check if this is just a bug.
CornBrad 6 Jan, 2022 @ 11:04am
Would be cool if you added some functionality for the Feudalism civic in this, since Feudalism is basically a type of decentralization. Maybe allow those with the civic some of the features without taking the ascension perk?
Violen 29 Dec, 2021 @ 3:21am
I feel as tho The mod 'Vassals Expanded and Reworked - FunEFork' Might have played a role in this mod Not firing correctly.
I selected the Foederatus Vassal type for all member states.
FirePrince  [author] 28 Dec, 2021 @ 11:40pm
WTH yea needs some fine tuning ^^
Violen 28 Dec, 2021 @ 8:11am
Just blew up my Iron man save with this xD
had 80% of the galaxy, 40 years from win date.
Pressed the button, Returned to stone age lol xD Had 5 k + a month in every resource, Went Negative xD. Split my empire fore sure, Wentt from 80% of Gal to 5 % xD
Was integrating a vassal at the time, That Vassal became my overlord lmao. Declaring war for freedom immediately made every member state hostile xD
Was Galactic empress, Some how got that ripped out of my hands instantly lmao.
Legit just lost the unloseable game with one button xD WTF :P
So huh, What did i do wrong xD? Is this how the mod is supposed to work? Seems... bad :P
FirePrince  [author] 28 Dec, 2021 @ 4:12am
OK I'll add a short time "swap over" feature (which costs a bit influence -if possible with only restricted change ability)
Violen 28 Dec, 2021 @ 2:44am
Going off of what BetterBusinessBrad said: What i'd love to atleast beable to do is set up choke point starbases, Will make defense against end game crisis Etc not a complete nightmare.
Maybe you can allready dothat?
Really tho, I have a hard time understanding what this mod is even doing, outside of less micro. Figure im just going to have to dedicate a playthrough to figure it all out.
CornBrad 18 Dec, 2021 @ 12:17pm
@FirePrince how could this feature be extended?
CornBrad 18 Dec, 2021 @ 12:14pm
Forgot to say, love your mod btw <3
FirePrince  [author] 18 Dec, 2021 @ 11:57am
@BetterBusinessBrad: uhm* good question, unfortunately IDK. I could a bit extend the "swap over" feature (I mean this is the only thing I can do)!?
CornBrad 18 Dec, 2021 @ 11:41am
@FirePrince is there any way that we could build in our member states territory? Like, fix their buildings and stuff. The main reason why this type of playstyle is suicide is because all of your planets will go to hell the second the AI takes over management. I know there are mods that allow you to build gateways in vassal/fed member space, but is there ANY way we could build on their planets etc without having to swap over to them? I am wanting to use this mod in multiplayer and I am just worried about that crashing the game or causing a desync.
FirePrince  [author] 27 Nov, 2021 @ 7:30am
@Lord Imladris: OK will change this, you get full control and support of you Member States. But for that I have to incorporate another negative aspect. Suggestions are welcome.
@Seelenschwarz: Sorry I've already a couple of mods adopted (But thanks for the hint, if so, not soon).
Seelenschwarz 26 Nov, 2021 @ 9:50pm
Lord Imladris 25 Nov, 2021 @ 8:29am
With the lack of being able to exert any control or create a royal or federal fleet/army, it kinda seems like the only thing the mod does is weaken you without providing any benefits, unless you never use the decentralization project on yourself and only use it on enemies but even still lose the benefits you would have through outright conquering them.
Lord Imladris 25 Nov, 2021 @ 8:23am
Seems cool and all, but is there no way to make it so that your member states and vassals join your wars that you start, or come to the defense of one another? I also find that without a way to recentralize your empire, your military and economy begins to fall short so your ability to influence things galactically or even defend yourself becomes comically difficult.
malthric 25 Nov, 2021 @ 6:20am
great
FirePrince  [author] 25 Nov, 2021 @ 2:07am
Yea I'll extend on this! Also the election of the Imperial King should be more valuable. More likelihood that the subject will wage war against you. A certain subject member will always defend you against outsiders.
malthric 24 Nov, 2021 @ 4:29pm
while they are still your vassals
malthric 24 Nov, 2021 @ 4:29pm
so wait they really do wage war on each other civil war style
FirePrince  [author] 24 Nov, 2021 @ 3:31pm
Update 3.2: new beta feature - supports now subject empire renaming with Dynamic Mod Menu (color letters) - big thanks to @Erdnuss - SLEX- DMM Preacher!
FirePrince  [author] 17 Nov, 2021 @ 7:20pm
Yes they do, but it could be more. I must also change something fundamental in the defending war mechanic (at 3.2).
malthric 5 Nov, 2021 @ 10:09am
because i would love it
malthric 4 Nov, 2021 @ 11:28am
can the vassals wage war against each other like members of holy roman empire did
FirePrince  [author] 22 Oct, 2021 @ 10:50am
@Ulthar: Thank you, this is a point to consider in the (somewhat more distant) future. @Hegemony: You mean between mod and without mod?
Ulthar 20 Oct, 2021 @ 5:04pm
I do this already at times, like a roleplay - I take a core sector and then start vassalizing the rest but giving them names like "House Durenor" or something based on the original capitol planet/sector name. I make a hegemony - so I am a little confused how this isn't the same thing exactly

However, what I would ask is for HRE style events - which you could rip straight from HOI IV where the various council propositions come up. Including funding a "State Agency" like a Scout or Espionage agency.
ghosterino 15 Sep, 2021 @ 2:45pm
Thanks
Spider 15 Sep, 2021 @ 1:12pm
@ghosterino Look up 'Viable Feudalism,' it does what you're looking for.
FirePrince  [author] 15 Sep, 2021 @ 10:52am
Yes, just now!
cjjohnson995 14 Sep, 2021 @ 12:49pm
3.1 compatible with LEM?
FirePrince  [author] 8 Sep, 2021 @ 1:22pm
nope
ghosterino 8 Sep, 2021 @ 9:24am
Can you start a new Federation with your member states?
FirePrince  [author] 4 Sep, 2021 @ 7:12pm
Update: some fixes/improvements (s.log for more) - new special Decentralization ability: you can now switch direct control over your Member States. Should be 3.1 ready (theoretically).
UAreDie 5 Aug, 2021 @ 4:44am
Edit: Just realized I had to do a special project to become decentralized, and now the mod works great!
UAreDie 5 Aug, 2021 @ 4:21am
Does decentralized empire work if you are a megacorp? I cant seem to figure out how to release member states, or declare decentralization wargoal.
FirePrince  [author] 5 Aug, 2021 @ 2:02am
@oracle: good question, it is not implemented. But sounds legit. ^^ Simply because the AI does not choose the AP. I think I'll come up with something!
