@Vitakaninen, thank you for that. I did look in the mod options and saw no such options at all despite the mod's description suggesting otherwise.

After reading your comment, however, I looked again. This mod has two entirely different options menus and I didn't notice that the first time.

Would you consider adding to options a way to disable the Psychic sooth inspiration? It is way too overpowered in a colony with a lot of psycasters. Right now I have pawns with over +150 to their mood purely from that inspiration being on other pawns.

Sorry for the wait, I've released a 1.5 version. Finished with my dissertation now so I'll be able to dedicate some time to fixing errors/bugs that pop up :D

@Ti_Ableton, it does work without issue when added to an in-progress play through.

Don't add it until it actually gets an update though, if you are on version 1.5. It completely breaks the game.

Yep, that's the main reason I used this mod, @Abacaxique.

What I've done in the interim, until this mod hopefully gets updated, is remove all of the mod files except the inspiration patch file that raises minimum skill levels for inspirations from 3 to 8. That patch file, I just edited it to delete the whole bottom section (which is specific to this mod), and left in the skill changes.

It's working great to make sure only my appropriately skilled people get the appropriate inspirations.

@jaggid yeah I noticed and had to disable it. It's sad seeing my colonists with animals 3 getting inspired taming. And the ones with animals 20 getting inspired surgery.

Pretty sure there's a bug with this mod. If I use a skill trainer with someone who has inspired learning I crash to desktop every time. Using a skill trainer on someone without inspired learning works fine. I'm still on 1.4.

@Abacaxique, I just tested and the answer is no, it is not working on 1.5. With this mod installed eating no longer fills the food need bar and the pawns will all starve to death.

haven't tried using Character Editor, I don't have that. but yes, it is enabled; and yes, my colonists do have high animal skill.

they keep getting inspired ranching, but no taming

Do you have that option turned off? Have you tried using Character Editor to Apply the Inspiration to see if it works? Does your pawn have high enough animal skills? Etc, etc.

pardon me, but I seem to be having an issue with disabled inspirations. That is, it doesn't seem to disable anything as my colonists are still capable of getting inspirations. I have VE social interactions installed, but I've disabled the inspirations and aspirations in the settings for it. Do I need to have at least one inspiration enabled or do I need to post a modlist, as my logs don't say anything beyond clutter from betterloading, removed traits, and rocketman.

Can you add in a trigger level in mod options? I feel like setting it to 12 would be ideal for some people (pawns will lose skills down to 10) and thus not trigger unwanted skills on a hard set skill level that's no longer used

Yea this mod should be baseline. lvl 1 animal without any passion have Taming Inspiration who can't even tame rabbits...

Never mind actually. That granite she was mining was smoothed. That effects the exp gain. So all good and sorry to bother. :-)

Hello.
I just started a new colony on brutal naked option. I still have only one colonist. She (my colonist) got inspiration in learning. Which I assume this is thanks to this mod. It should add 3x faster learning. She also has "Fast Learner", "Great memory" and "Jogger" trait. So I decided to train her mining skill since she doesn't have any passion for it and is on low level. Level 2. So during mining granite she didn't get any exp. and after finishing it she got like 3 points only. She has intellectual on level 8 and passion for it (not burning, just regular).
Is this intentional, please? Because if it is, I would like to know then how to make that 3x faster learning showing the difference.

Due to some name changes I made to the settings menus in a recent update, some players may encounter errors on start up that look like the following:
Could not find class InspirationTweaks.Settings while resolving node ModSettings

To fix these errors all you need to do is open the two Inspiration Tweaks mod settings menus within the Rimworld mod options (opening/closing the menus will automatically update the naming in the configuration files, fixing the issue).

All of the Synergistic Trait defs now have an `SN_` prefix, so all of the references to the traits in the Synergistic Traits patch are now wrong. I've confirmed that running a global replace on `><li>` to `><li>SN_` in the patch file `Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\2117570018\1.4\Patches\SynergisticTraitsPatch.xml` removes the errors.

getting a bunch of errors regarding this mod and synergistic traits, Could not resolve cross-reference to RimWorld.TraitDef named <synergistic_trait> (wanter=positiveTraitDefs), tested with clean mod list only using the two mods and can confirm

Finally my colonists with medical skill 3 won't get inspired surgery!! :steamhappy:
