@Xemanis Brad has almost assuredly moved on from HLA Tools so don't expect a sequel. Check out his YT channel for cutting edge info on new VR/AR hardware.

I don't suppose there are plans to continue this? I enjoyed both of them, and was curious as to what sort of things would await in the third part. I understand if you don't want to go through the trouble of making it, but if you did I'm sure people would play it.

Ok, I had a great time with both part 1 and 2. I especially enjoyed the cannon placement to where I could battle the (No Spoiler) YaDa, YaDa, YaDa's... Hope to enjoy more of your work in the future...

was nice, I liked the environment, it seemed really well don and polished, but didn't enjoy it as much as the first part tbh. a little too short and not much going on. thank you for sharing

What was missing from the 1st part was the unique ways to kill enemies on the map. That said, I felt this was had better visual and audio elements. Both are great maps! https://youtu.be/9gNn_w7c4QM

I really didn't like it as much as the first one, it felt very rushed and i finished it in about 10 minutes while doing all the hacking and shit

Moon - You'd have to modify the engine Half Life: Alyx runs on (Source 2) to be able to run in multiplayer. Though, this engine is at it's infancy so we've yet to see Valve make a multiplayer VR game in the Source 2 engine.

Nice design. I would say that it is a bit easy though.
And major flaw is that the ladder in the pipes doesn't work with teleport, I had to switch to continuous for that part and fell down from the top and died on my first try.

This is the most well made map in hla so far the. the scripted events are amazing, the environment is creative, and the combat is ABSULUTELY INSANE. heres a reward

Really creative use on the combine tunnel-doors. I did, however, encounter a bug that scared the living hell out of me. Wenever a enemy hurt or kiled me, pixels on my Index would start flashing... This made me belive that I had encountered the same bug as Thrillseeker (explained in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RcsXVmwUPbw) But fortunatly, this does appear to only happen in your map. So thats a huge relief!:steamhappy:

Beautiful continuation! Looking forward to seeing some more! Only glitch I encountered in my run was after I released the antlions, one got stuck in the door they spawned from. This also happened on my second run through, nothing big, but thought I'd bring it to your attention.

Loved this one and the first!

I did however encounter 2 minor glitches. One was after i released the antlions. The ladder you're supposed to climb doesn't work very well. Wasn't even sure i had to go there until i watched a let's play and then brute-forced the ladder to work.

The other glitch was at the very end. The trigger that brings you to the grub room didn't go off and i made it all the way to the end of the hallway. It worked when i walked back though.

I mostly enjoyed it, especially the inclusion of the heavy strider killing gun from the campaign. One bug I noticed is in the room where you release the antlions, to the left of the first tunnel on the right, you can pass thru the wall. My only other complaint is that I didn't really care for how some of the zombies were triggered. One of them was laying down and I shot him several times for no damage, but after killing a nearby barnacle, we woke up and was shootable. I think you should handle those triggers differently. Otherwise, it was fun.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Glad many of you enjoyed it.

@Dafty: There wasn't too much special stuff done in optimization. I just think as people get better at making maps with the VIS in mind, more optimized maps will follow suit.

Crash Course was such an eye opener for me in how bad I botched performance for so many people. Never wanted to run into that problem again. So I make sure my maps since that one run very well.

Enjoyed this but got stuck after releasing the antlions from their prisons. I wasn't sure if there was a way up into the antlion prisons or if there was some way of climbing the ladder with the sewer water running down it in the tunnels but couldn't make any progress on either of those ideas.

I didn't release the antlions at first as it felt like I had a choice so decided to clear out the combine soldiers and take a look around. I only went back and released the antlions when I couldn't figure out any way to progress.

Just a tip for the lift, keep moving when you're going upwards on it. For some reason, HL:A only updates the player's position when either they move or fall.

Every map you have made has set the bar higher and higher. However, this map is on a whole new level. The combat, scripted sequences, and the atmosphere are unrivaled my any map currently out. Honestly, this is a Valve quality map. The only complaints I have are that the big sewer ladder was really buggy and the weapon wheel's color would glitch out in the sewer. Besides that, this map is flawless. Keep up the good work!
