@StayHungryStayFoolish It's a very simple prop replacer - it just replaces the vanilla props like-for-like. So it will only show the equivalent speed limit sign on the base road, and it won't recognise any custom speeds set for the road (jthe same as for speed limit signs without this mod).

I would love to add this mod to the Airports DLC Compatible modlist, but I do not know will it keep the speed limits signs, no matter what is the actual speed on the segment?

ya know, I hadn't thought of that. BOB can just mass replace them and remember it. Not a perfect solution but workable.

@snkiz The Big Roads set are a bit unconventional; I'd recommend you use BOB instead to change those signs.

I tried it with Big roads that that change the speed limit signs and such. Except I also use road sign replacer to change out the default signs for Canadian ones. When you change the speed limit they become American signs, in miles not km. I don't even have an American sign pack, The speed limit signs aren't listed in the prop pack for big roads. I don't know where they come from. No errors or crashing. It just stomped on my signs and scale setting. I don't know who to ask, you @hockenheim95, or the AN people. but I love the feature, I just wish it worked with sign sets other then the American ones.

@Dinosbacsi No, that's not the correct behavior. The selected road signs should be applied automatically on game load.

It sounds as though you might have a conflict somewhere - if it keeps behaving like that, please post your output log .

Alright, managed to get it working somehow. Maybe I was just using it wrong? Because even if I set it to a style in the main menu, it will still load up the default road signs when starting a game. I need to re-apply the vanilla style while in game, then choose the japanese to get them to show up - is this the correct behavour?

And I havn't tried loading an exsisting save yet, but I assume the selected road signs will stay when loading up next time?

@algernon Yeah, I have selected it in the mod settings and pressed the Apply button. I do have the japanese road arrows replacer, japanese traffic lights replacer and railway prop replacer as well (and Network Skins, as it was a requirement for some other asset). I will try to unsubscribe from everything and see if this works just by itself.

I wanted to try the japanese traffic signs pack, the mod even recognises it and it shows up in the mod settings, yet I don't see them spawning on the vanilla roads. What might be the cause?

@Certified Paint Huffer Thanks for the report - I was not aware of that specifically, but it makes sense.

BOB includes some additional code for NS2 integration, which is why that would work. I'll look at back-porting that into this mod.

Hey algernon

I noticed some minor conflict with Network Skins 2:

It seems that making any change with NS2 (even changing only trees) prevents this mod from changing road signs for the affected segment.

The mod works perfectly if NS2 changes are not applied

Opening BOB menu for the network AFTER applying changes with this mod and THEN using NS2 seems to resolve this conflict and replacement by this mod now appears to be global.

Does anyone know of any mod that removes roadside props and changes default gantries to green ala American RoadSigns v2.2.0? I really like this mod so far but my only gripe is that it's strictly signs.

@Green Allien Those signs don't really replace the in-game road signs and are designed for manual placement so won't work with this mod, sorry.

They are nice signs, though - you just need to place them manually.

@loop The speed limit signs shouldn't make a difference (you'll note that speed signs and other signs are two separate categories in the settings. Does it also happen with other sign packs activated?

@algernon yes, but this pack doesn't have speed limit signs. The creator intended people use PO to create their own speed limit signs with the props and fonts provided

@loop My apologies, you are correct - I was looking at too many different players' log files at once and got mixed up. Sorry!

You were the player where your log showerd that Hide It was throwing an error. Do you still have the issue with Hide It disabled, and when subscribed to the missing roadsigns from the pack you were using?

I note you're running the Extended Managers Library with a number of incompatible mods. Note that the Extended Managers Library is under development and testing and is NOT ready for production use by those who don't know exactly what they're doing.

Either unsub from EML, or unsub from all the incompatible mods.

You're also using Plop the Growables AND Ploppable RICO Revisited - I hope you know what you're doing with that.

Once you've resolved those issues, let me know if the problem persists.

im using the polish road signs pack, is it because it doesn't have all signs provided? (no speed limit signs)

@Wind of Changes In that case they haven't loaded properly for some reason. Have you unsubscribed and subscribed to force a workshop refresh?

If you can't see them in Find It 2, then they haven't loaded properly, and this mod won't see those props either.

However, in Japan there are no "no left/right turn signs" instead, they use a blue signage that indicates the actual direction of travel. For example "Only left/straight/right"; Therefore, I believe the most applicable way to represent "no left/right turn" is to replace no left turn with "straight/right turn only" and replace no right turn with "straight/left turn only". However, this will also limit roads that cannot proceed straight forward but can only turn left. Please feel free to see whether there are any other methods to overcome this issue.

Japanese Themed creations are one of the most common and popular builds however, with severe lacking diversity of content especially with road signs alike.
