@cheapSchokomuffins24.org Hi. Only "native" metro stations are able to spawn metro trains... converted train stations can´t to that, because RON only changes the tracks, but not the stations AI. The same princible counts for train stations etc...
Just found out something super weid. Not sure if it is because of this network or RON the network replacer mod:
I built my metro system using a couple different train stations converted to metro stations with these tracks using RON, just ground and elevated stations. But they did not spawn any metro vehicles. I tested around a bunch, vanilla metro stations still worked fine, connected vanilla stations and track to this and it worked too. But removing the vanilla stations removes all metro vehicles and stops new ones from spawning.
So I built 2 'dummy' vanilla stations way off in a corner of the map, metro working fine over there. But the custom ones in the city did not work. In the end I noticed placing a simple vanilla underground station near one of the custom ones fixes this. All my metro vehicles spawn in that one custom elevated station near this (now hidden) vanilla one.
Quite fascinating, maybe this helps someone with similar problems :)

I also might be able to release such a track, because I still have some modified versions of MrMaison's NY- stations laying arround, which would fit such a network very well (at least in my opinion) ... I'll look in to this and re-ask him about the permission to release those station(s).... if it really fits and ofc if I find some time (not much available atm) to "dive" in to this ...
And Yeah ... everything uses the same materials ... I always try to create all my stuff as "light weight" or efficient as possible...but you might have seen it already, that I am a huge fan of the LSM ! :)
Regarding any testings/pics ... I might come back to you with that! ;)
Thanks, mate. I appreciate your response. Happy to provide pictures of the second track (and some tests) from my own city (i do daily a new and different save, so i can pick an old and 'screw' it for pictures. My only request would be having both tracks with same gravel, sleepers texture and exact same rail width, so that transitions become fluent.
Even the uploaded FTP stations are already prepar3d for those track versions, because everything is ready for over a year now.
But there were two things which prevented me from uploading those .... 1. I didn't really have city, that was/is big enough to take a decent amount of pictures.... 2. I've started to many projects during corona ... 3. which are also almost ws ready .... Therefore its always a hard to choice to decided what I am going to finish and currently time becomes the biggest "issue" for all of that ... :/
Regarding your. 1. AN currently doesn't work for underground meshes ... :/ I didnt know that until I learned it the "hard way" .... I did create a lot of variations for an ungoing project just to learn during the import, that I could have used that time for other things .... But maybe that might change in the future, because want to talk about that with Kian... hes always very helpful and open to any updates/new mechanics for his absolutely awesome mod ! ;)
This metro line here is awesome, since it provides a First Person tunnel. But i have only that one appearance, which makes a city drive a bit boring.
Any chance of making an AN based metro line that offers with same tracks as used in your stations but different appearances regards tunnel (columns like here, tube for below river, concrete square, maintenance shafts or just simply texture changes for walls), elevated (e.g.sound barrier for inner city use or just barrier to hold the gravel) and ground (without or wit fence or with guardrail). Such would be absolutely awesome.
The only way to differentiate them within RoN is by testing it...but you've probably found that out yourself already. On the other hand, maybe the ron author did already find a way to display the networks with there given names.
I didn t test that myself ...
3 are named metro0 and one is named metro1. Or something similar.
I'm assuming the metro 0 are your 3 station tracks you created. But there is no way to distinguish them in the menu, not when placing as they are underground. If you can't rename, perhaps they could use an icon, even something as simple as text stating the type. Other networks seem to display a preview. I'm guessing it's the same that would appear in build menu so it might require enabling in menu. Not sure how that all works.
I'm also going to try the metro replacer mod to see if that helps any.
All you can do is to try to replace the vanilla tracks with the help of mods in game, for example multi tool etc. or to try that in the editor.
Renaming the tracks isn t possible, because that would cause an error/missing tracks for everybody who is using them already within their savegames.
Hopefully that cleared something and helped you a bit...
Hey. Tbh i am not totally sure what you are trying to do.
I've released (so far) 4 different underground station track types. A "plain" version (no walls etc, just the track) to be used with assets (stations) and 3 "complete" tracks which are basically the station. These 3 come with walls, roof, some props etc. (1. double track, 2. center platform track, 3. bypass track)
All these tracks would work alone, and might work if a "vanilla track is replaced by them. (Havent tested that myself). I also created them in a way, that they re not shown in the menu in game... well I did that, because in general almost nobody needs them ;)
Egi did plan to add a replacement function for underground tracks to the metro replacer mod (so that it works the same way as with ground and elevated tracks)... but haven't done it yet.
I don't know if there is compatibility, But I am trying to change these stations to have rendered tunnels along with your track, but have no success. https://sp.zhabite.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2040151856
Thanks
@PhazezGova ... there will be more ;)
