I have implemented the changes in the new code.
A code I can NOT upload here.
I have to do a new workshop object for it (where I will be the main author).
And I haven't yet found the time and motivation to do so.

But with your comment you gave me another idea about what I also should implement in FSD v2.
As I said before, I sadly can't update this (v1) version.

@timmy only ShowStats, EndStats and FSD options: are case sensitive, because they are trigger words.

I just want to point out a bug, maybe you already know - the names for the Gatling Guns and Gatling Turrets are switched. (Turrets are named "Gatling Gun" and guns are named "Gatling Turret").

@Ekuah I realize that, I was asking primarily to establish if this is a rare or common problem with the script and narrow down if it's more likely a mod interaction or a server/base game problem.
The script was being run in a vehicle that used the Industrial cockpit and vanilla batteries. The only mod blocks it used were armor.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but declaring "I'm playing on a server with a long mod list" without defining the mods is not really helpful.
It could be basically anything.
As example, maybe some mod which doesn't like any script over a certain amount of characters?
Or some mod block doesn't correctly implement the IMyTextSurfaceProvider API?
We can't really help you without more details.

I was setting up a vehicle cockpit with the script and when I finished editing it, the game crashed with a "graphics driver" error. Has anyone else had a similar issue?
-I'm playing on a server with a long mod list, so it could easily be a mod interaction/conflict
-I have successfully used the script on the server before, though it may have caused a crash previously as well when disconnecting a vehicle

@Netherspark Things I could implement:
Choosing colors for:
- the bar colors of WideBar, SmallBar and Single Blocks
- the text color information inside the bar
- the icon color (of Single Blocks)
- the pattern color surrounding the Single Blocks bars
Single Icon:
- combining several blocks into a single icon can be done (a little bit more complicated)

What I can't do without redoing the whole thing:
Resizing (this would be a real headache)
Choosing the frame colors of WideBar and SmallBar (it's hardcoded, so not really adapable)

But sadly I can't Update THIS workshop object anymore, Sorry!
The last time I had contact with the main author was August 12th 2020.
Since then I have accumulated around 70 version and subversions of fixes, patches, additions etc.

And also, is there a way to combine all blocks of a type or group into a single icon? Like If I have 4 cargo containers, merge them into a single icon and display the overall capacity?

I know you can essentially do this with the widebar, but can it be done with the simple icons?

I mean the fill colors of the bar and the icon frames.

So you could have say a Reactor displaying colours in green, and O2 Tanks in blue for example.

Is there a way to make the script only display the status of modules on the main ship and not any docked auxiliary craft? Maybe that was in the tutorial and I missed it but I can't figure it out

The bar itself?
The frame around?
The Text?
The icon?

Just FYI. There is a new Version of FSD in the making, with much better color handling.

1. Aim at a text panel or LCD panel
2. Right klick on the panel (NOT left klick) or press 'K'
3. left klick on the button "Custom Data" in the middle row
4. enter the commands

P.S.
Make sure that your command list starts with "ShowStats"
Because this trigger is case sensitive please observe the two Capital 'S' in "ShowStats"
"showstats" or "showStats" or "Showstats" WON'T work.

P.P.S. This description is only valid for SE running on a Windows PC with default key binding and English as Game language. For other setups the necessary steps may vary.

If all of this won't help, you can publish an example world and link it here.
So I can have a look on the issue.

So, I have the script loaded and running on a small programmable block screen for batteries.
However, it's not working on other LCD's I have on the grid. What might I be doing wrong?

It's a weird situation. For example, when I put the script in an LCD, everyone in the server can see it normally, but when someone new joins that was not there when the script started, it crashes his game. Also, when we restart the server, and someone tries to get near the LCD, it crashes the game, so we have to shoot it down.

Do you mean no text at all?
Then try this:

Or do you mean only the Names without the numbers?

I left a suggestion about including Conveyor Sorters. Many weapon mods using WeaponCore are based on Sorters, including my own mods, so it would be handy to view their inventory as well.
