This mod is amazing.
I'll follow this up on the UI Overhaul patch page as well just to check that it isn't the cause
Love the mod otherwise though thanks for maintaining it!
The worst part is that the AI is doing this to the AI as well, galaxy is in an unending state of war, would be all well and good if this was a 40k situation but it's not.
5: I have no idea what to expect in terms of changes to the code coming in 2.9 that would specifically impact this mod. Hopefully it won't impact it too much, but we'll see when it comes.
6: Yes, the mod is quite bare-bones in its current state, as it was when I adopted the mod. My focus has been on maintaining it as it currently exists, specifically to continue functioning properly with updates and content additions to the base game. If anyone, anyone at all, is willing to assist me in adding more scope and depth to the mod with new features and content, I would be more than happy to welcome their assistance and work with them to accomplish this.
Part 2 / 2
1: During my playthroughs with this mod in 2.8, I've had no noticeable problems, so yes, as far as I'm aware, it works in 2.8 just fine, and you are safe to ignore the warning about it being intended to work with an older version of the game.
2: Yes, the double ethic point cost for non-religious ethics is intentional. The mod is supposed to give you a total of 7 ethics points to work with, with normal ethics being worth 2 points each, fanatic points being worth 4 points each, and the religion options being worth 1 point each.
3: Any requests for compatibility between this mod and others will not be satisfied by me. Third-party compatibility add-ons are your friend in this case. This includes Ethics and Civics Classic/Alternative.
Part 1 / 2
Is this a glitch or deliberate and if it's deliberate please report to your local priest-doctor-therapist-informant of the theocratic police state and hand yourself in for "correcting" so that you can correct this horrific crime before sitting in the corner and thinking about what you've you terrible terrible creature and disgrace to Their Holiness.
It also happened to some fallen empire once, which gobbled up the strongest empire a decade or two before midgame. Since the normal empire couldn't surrender and neither side could get a white piece, eventually the empire was just gone.
Is this normal or possibly some mod conflict?
Edit: After playing around with the mod for a bit I discovered that it clashes with - Ethics and Civics Classic 2.7 - not so much a clash more of an override. Just putting it out there

The mod is awesome !
But those wars being unlimited in time makes them kinda break the diplomacy which relies of time of peace or war for certain actions (Federations creation etc...)
Thanks a lot and have a wonderfull day ! :D
Just a question btw, can The Inquisition and Crush Soul total war cassus beli end on a white peace ? It seems i cannot do any white peace on my end. Maybe it's a mod conflight on my end just wnated to know ^^

For now it just a feeling, maybe i'd look into that later. But i feel this mod does not have a gameplay presence. (but you said you wont change the mod, so maybe i will , if i'm not too lazy).
But with thoses total war CB, AI empire fall into endless war and when i switch to an ai empire , i cannot end it. I discovered that after waiting 60 years for a war to end so i could vassalize someone. And i think it's pretty game breaking
