guys its not possible to get the Riotshield its so rare you cant find it in maps and it only works with one command in the console "give weapon_Riotshield"

it is not a replacement...it is a reskin of an existing mdl that is in every legit copy of l4d2

workshop has been a bit wonky as of late.
ive even experienced problems with it ... i subbed for a mod and it didnt instal.(had to try again at a later time/date to get it finally)
other modding friends have reported having same issues on and off.

for some reson mine is not downloading do you no how to ?

Where i find this shield?

the riotshield DOES exist and is available to ALL map authors (in all regions).
sadly, not many map authors include it (or the css knife) in their melee manifest.
you can find one on my kbar survival map (no special scripts/tricks or other nonsense required)

And Ashkiller. The riot shield does jack shit for protection. It's like, as I said, A tonfa that basically covers half of your screen.

Team Killer. You are wrong. The riotshield IS FOR NO ONE. It was a unfinished weapon hidden away in the game files and I've heard rumors of being able to be spawned via console. There are plenty of mods that add it spawn points to the Valve campaigns and it's basically like, has tonfa stats but as a riotshield. The CSS Combat Knife Is for the germens. So, next time Team Killer, get the facts straight.

I have never come acroos a riot shield. Must be useful in deed. Any good uses against specials? Like reflecting spitter acid, stopping smoker grabs, blocking vomit, etc.?

the riotshield is a rare find in a map. if mapper has included it in their melee manifast, it will appear.
using a melee unlocker and forcing it to spawn is another option.
