@p0xus and @Dr.Death: I'll check it out on the weekend. It definitely worked when I released the newest version.
Dr.Death 4 Jun @ 5:51pm
Chosen One didn't apply the skill level and chosen one trait for me.
p0xus 2 Jun @ 7:06pm
It appears that Chosen One doesnt work. Didnt in our MP game, anyway.
nighthawk  [author] 22 May @ 9:07am
@Oxytoxy365: No, it's not supposed to do that, and also doesn't do that for me. You can try to un- and re-subscribe to force a new download. Sometimes Steam has issues doing so and you can get weird issues.

@Jackoboi: Please read the last few comments. You can download older versions on my GitHub page (for a link, see description). I will not add old versions on the Steam workshop.
Jackoboi 21 May @ 5:19pm
3.14 version please?
Oxytoxy365 21 May @ 10:25am
Is this supposed to *replace* some of the vanilla origins? Because it's doing that for me (I.e. Back to the Future is replacing Prosperous Unification)
nighthawk  [author] 19 May @ 10:17am
@MutWind: Probably not, because of the changed event interface. Feel free to download the old version of the mod from my linked github page and use that as a local mod to play your old save(s).
MutWind 19 May @ 7:02am
Does it still work for 3.14?
Clawmyth 15 May @ 8:51am
How about a failed dimensional jump with the needle craft. Spawn around the black hole with a planet with a hundred people and more people join every year from the collapsing needle. Set it so the needle explodes after a few years.
Generic Feline 14 May @ 10:25am
Eldest Sibling origin + Sol System seems to cause some pretty interesting bugs
nighthawk  [author] 13 May @ 11:37pm
Glad it worked out :)
RainbowCastella 13 May @ 11:15pm
I guess the Stellaris update caused a bug this time. :) It's solved after re-subscription few times. thank you for the good mod:steamthumbsup:
nighthawk  [author] 13 May @ 10:49pm
@Skorri: Species mods? Do they add new traits? If they aren't updated, that's where this error can come from, because they changed the mod interface for them. That was also the reason for my mod, I had to update exactly one event to fix it, and that was about pops. So no, it cannot be my mod... please stop asking. Try re-downloading and verifying game files, once or twice, anything else has to be a different mod and I can't help you, sorry. :butterfly:
Skorri 13 May @ 10:44pm
I get an empty tooltip from your mod and it wont go away I have only species mods active
nighthawk  [author] 13 May @ 10:26pm
@RainbowCastella: I double checked it again for you, but I don't get this error when I only run my own mod. Are you having any other mods active, which origin were you using? I can only suggest to re-download again, unfortunately.
RainbowCastella 13 May @ 8:33pm
i had reinstalled this mod and got the same empty tooltip issue :( when i disable this mode, the error will not appear:steamsad:
nighthawk  [author] 13 May @ 7:29am
@Incognito: That's exactly one issue that I fixed with the last update. Probably a steam issue that failed to download the right file. Please re-download the mod (un- and re-subscribe is an easy way).
tilarium 12 May @ 12:44pm
And which origin did you use? Things like that would be super helpful to the authors to try and find and fix problems.
Incognito 12 May @ 12:07pm
pop up empty tooltip everyday needs fixing
nighthawk  [author] 10 May @ 5:45am
@komor: Check the link to GitHub at the top, you can download the release 1.21.0 (for 3.14 saves) from there and use it as a local mod. I don't really want to upload and support older versions here on the steam workshop, so you'll have to do a little work to get it running manually, sorry.
komor 10 May @ 5:21am
Can you upload here/github legacy version for continuing of 3.14 saves? Pretty please :D
nighthawk  [author] 10 May @ 3:52am
@RainbowCastella: Thank you for the praise! What's your favorite origin?
RainbowCastella 10 May @ 3:02am
thanks for updating. i love you:steamhappy:
nighthawk  [author] 10 May @ 2:50am
Version 1.22.0
* Update to game version 4.0.*

All issues fixed (there was only really something to do for the Hive World start and Endeavour to Enlightenment, although I needed to update the overwritten vanilla event too).
I did not check the Planetary Diversity and Gigastructural Engineering integrations, if you've got issues with Legacy of Nine Suns or Eldest Sibling, please report them to me.
I did not encounter any crashes, so that must've been some other mod.
I actually forgot to take new screenshots (since the UI changed), but I'll add them during my vacation.

Have fun playing! :butterfly:
nighthawk  [author] 9 May @ 12:27pm
@Ch0mpD13: Oh no. Can somebody else confirm? If so, I might try to do a hotfix and just remove the crashing parts this weekend.
Ch0mpD13 9 May @ 10:42am
@Nighthawk. Uh yeah it makes the game crash upon trying to create a new galaxy.

I have had a similar issue with every other origin mod I played with, so maybe it's something with unique systems?
tilarium 9 May @ 9:06am
@Nighthawk I haven't done any testing on this mod myself but can confirm from testing other origin mods that anything that doesn't change planets, districts, or pops are still working. I'd imagine the same is true for the origins in this one that don't touch planets, districts, or pops.
nighthawk  [author] 9 May @ 7:04am
@Ch0mpD13: Without yet (!) taking a look I would expect that district changing origins like the hive world start are indeed no longer working, but other origins like Endeavour to Enlightenment should be fine.
Anything specific you noticed?
Ch0mpD13 8 May @ 1:59pm
Pretty sure this mod is busted in 4.0
Janlitschka 7 May @ 2:12am
Alright, Thank you!
nighthawk  [author] 6 May @ 9:58pm
@Janlitschka: I can't get around to testing it yet. So for now it is unknown. Let me know if you get any issues, please. I'll have vacation in 3 weeks and will update everything then. :butterfly:
Janlitschka 6 May @ 10:42am
Hey, how is the 4.0 Compatability? Thank you!
12sDaFailure 21 Apr @ 10:14am
I miss Quent
nighthawk  [author] 1 Apr @ 11:24am
@Amped Normal: Ah, that was probably a steam workshop download issue. Happens rarely, but a re-install like in your case fixes it.
Amped Normal 1 Apr @ 6:38am
False alarm, I reinstalled and they show now
Amped Normal 31 Mar @ 9:07am
When I go to create a new civ or edit and existing one, none of the origins show. I'm on the latest version of Stellaris, only 8 other mods, UI Overhaul, Gigastructures + UI patch, NSC3, Just More Flags, Just More Empires, Diverse Rooms & We Are The Imperial Navy

Also tested just this mod by itself and the origins still don't show :(
nighthawk  [author] 29 Mar @ 1:53am
@Deep Fried: What exactly?
Deep Fried 28 Mar @ 1:03pm
doesnt work 3.14
joakim.westergaard 22 Mar @ 11:56pm
Does this work in 3.14?
nighthawk  [author] 10 Mar @ 1:13pm
@Generalisator: It really is a shame that QUENTOPOLIS can't keep working on their mods.
I am however, unable to put more effort than I already do into maintaining my own (which is already always dragging behind official releases). Therefore the current scope is unlikely to be expanded.
So I definitely can't add additional "involved" (read: upkeep intensive) origins either.
I might take a look when I do the next maintenance, see if I can add possibly one of the broken ones here. No promises.
Since the next update will come with big changes, we'll see about what works and what won't. :butterfly:

Dormant Core might be nice. Author is stepping back.
nighthawk  [author] 1 Mar @ 10:59pm
@Yindiram The Faerie Dragon: Any specific idea on your mind, or would you just want: "Reconquer your home system"?
Yindiram The Faerie Dragon 28 Feb @ 10:16pm
I do sincerely suggest a situation chain for voidspawn origin, making game way more fun than before.
YutaniWakazashi 11 Nov, 2024 @ 7:32pm
@nighthawk

You are welcome! I love this mod so thanks for what you do.

Regarding earlier CTD's I got, they ceased after the minor update made right before my last post. So my guess is Paradox bugged some feature out on the initial release and fixed it later.
nighthawk  [author] 1 Nov, 2024 @ 5:37am
@YutaniWkazashi: Thank you for confirming! I'll see if I can get my setup back to working order in the following days.
YutaniWakazashi 31 Oct, 2024 @ 6:10pm
This mod seems to be working fine with the update! Just started a new game, no CTD anymore.
nighthawk  [author] 27 Oct, 2024 @ 5:21am
Unfortunately my SSD "burned up" due to a firmware upgrade (thanks Samsung). So I am not motivated to recreate my setup "just to fix a flag", if everything's still working properly. Just ignore the launcher warning.
I'll get to it when the next Stellaris release drops. :butterfly:
tilarium 26 Oct, 2024 @ 10:30am
As I’ve said several times, it’s been working fine for me in 3.13. If you’re having problems with, what are those problems that need to be updated and fixed?
ColdSpaCe7 26 Oct, 2024 @ 9:03am
can you update it to 3.13 please?
nighthawk  [author] 26 Oct, 2024 @ 3:36am
@nerevarite: It means that when they level up, you get to pick a new trait, but with the stated chance, they'll go back to their old level. This allows you to get many more trait picks over the course of their lifetime. However, this won't happen for special levels where you pick your focus (4 and 9).
