hey when are you gonna be updating the mod to work with Stellaris 4.0
LHZ 29 Apr @ 8:17am
Hey everyone, you are using the Star Name Addition mod, right? It's essential for 1500+ star systems, otherwise the game will crash!
Also, be aware that it starts lagging once you hit 3000 or more systems.
LHZ 19 Apr @ 5:40pm
3.14 now working
Сеня 21 Feb @ 8:31am
it crashes
HEWOLF 20 Feb @ 1:16pm
I had 2 mods running this one and NSC Season 3. with both running it crashed, turned off NSC and it crashed, turned on NSC and turned off this mod and it did not crash
HEWOLF 14 Feb @ 3:59am
this mod is causing the game to crash for me. i've tried removing ALL mods and add them back in 1 at a time, and when I add this mod, the game starts crashing at random times and never with the same interaction in the game. one time I goto open an upgrade for the ruler and it crashes, the next time I could click on a system to goto planet view and it crashes.
NuclearNarwhal 1 Feb @ 12:07pm
You sure thats this mod? You aren't using any other scaling mods? Doesn't do that on my end.
natthaphon6943 25 Jan @ 2:52pm
Please somebody tell me, How to download this mod
McAwesome  [author] 9 Jan @ 4:19am
a bit funny how, for at least the second time now, someone says something that's already in the description, so I poke fun at people not reading the description, and mysteriously the comment disappears the next time I check back here

Loool Ye, it's not just Workshop users, it's the *every* modding community. Im friends with a few modders, and the amount of people who won't take 20 seconds to scroll till they see a blaring red warning about something and THEN COMPLAIN about the thing the WARNING was there for is INSANE.

I run a social scene on discord (200+ people) And it's the same shi with announcements, rules, and info-dumps, lol
McAwesome  [author] 8 Jan @ 4:13am
bold of you to assume workshop users can read /j

OH, MY PCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC
McAwesome  [author] 18 Dec, 2024 @ 2:41am
hi, consider reading the mod description

specifically, near the bottom

more specifically, the section that starts with the word "Compatible"

i know that as a workshop user, reading mod descriptions may not be your strong suit, but you can do it, i'm sure ♥
moonraker65 11 Nov, 2024 @ 3:46am
Thanks chap
NuclearNarwhal 10 Nov, 2024 @ 1:08pm
Just tested, works well, thanks for keeping this updated!
McAwesome  [author] 10 Nov, 2024 @ 9:07am
updated, should work now
Dave 8 Nov, 2024 @ 11:31am
Crashes the game with the new version. The game will load, gets to 100% and then crashes. Mods needs an update
moonraker65 6 Nov, 2024 @ 10:51am
Could do with an update for 3.14
YutaniWakazashi 31 Oct, 2024 @ 6:12pm
@Holyspawn

No, it worked for me. Just generated a 2500 star galaxy. Only issue is it took a bit to load.

PD also just did a small patch to 3.14, so maybe there was a conflict in the old version of the update.
Holyspawn 31 Oct, 2024 @ 2:43am
@YutaniWakazashi:

yep, after 3.14 Grand Archive patch it crash everytime at launch, precisely when the Stellaris initial game launcher loading bar reach 100%.
YutaniWakazashi 30 Oct, 2024 @ 4:37pm
@Holyspawn:

Have you confirmed that the mod *isn't* compatible with the update? A lot of times a mod is just listed as "out of date" for no reason other than the mod author hasn't flagged it as updated, rather than any sort of actual conflict.

So try playing it with the update and let us know. I would, but I'm waiting on three other mods to update that were actually affected by the DLC.
Holyspawn 29 Oct, 2024 @ 11:57am
Please update this for the latest Grand Archive patch. 3.14
Holyspawn 21 Oct, 2024 @ 12:24pm
Trying this mod on a brand new NASA desktop (2x4090 SLI, 96GB DDR4 6800, 7950X3D and so on...) and 5k systems games take 5 mins to be generated and i maintain 60fps the 1st 200 years of game so far with some adjustments in settings like xeno off, 0.25 abitable planets, 67 AI, 7 advanced empire and 7 forgotten empires. Good job to the creator.
taylor swift 3 Oct, 2024 @ 4:09am
storms barely spawn and dont move
Breksus 24 Sep, 2024 @ 2:25pm
hi i have a problem with the mod all galaxies that are higher than 50000 the mod always crashes can not play higher at all please correct me
Stitxch 23 Sep, 2024 @ 4:47pm
Also having the same issue as Jaremasta.
TrueWolves 18 Sep, 2024 @ 11:31am
Sounds good. I think 100k+ would take over a TB of RAM and a few weeks. I would love to see the results if someone was insane enough to do it. I don't think 200k+ is possible, I'm not even sure if anyone will have the patience to break 25k yet.
McAwesome  [author] 17 Sep, 2024 @ 1:46pm
hi, thanks for your concern, the mod also decreases the minimum distance between stars
TrueWolves 16 Sep, 2024 @ 11:53am
Note: It takes custom Steam console launch settings and more than 32GB of RAM to go over 10k stars. It also takes 24+ hours to do so without 8+ core processors (galaxy generating is multithreaded) Last but not least, without changing *how* stars spawn, you'll never actually spawn more than 6k stars due to running out of space.

When all you do is add new settings to the menu, that doesn't mean those settings work as described. If you're only changing the menu options, there isn't any point to 5k+ without also changing the star spawn settings.

Source: I'm the guy who spawned a 25k star map back in version 3.4.
Jaremasta 16 Sep, 2024 @ 6:43am
Hey, I have a problem with the mod. After creating a galaxy using this mod, some systems crash when entering the system view.
YutaniWakazashi 14 Sep, 2024 @ 12:48pm
Thank you!
McAwesome  [author] 13 Sep, 2024 @ 2:41am
it should be now
YutaniWakazashi 12 Sep, 2024 @ 7:12pm
Is this still good after 3.13?
Skataflow 4 Jun, 2024 @ 4:31am
After this vibrant last comment about compatibility, now the polite question about further plans to update this mod to newer version? Thanks!
McAwesome  [author] 30 Apr, 2024 @ 8:33pm
lol k
killer_klown94 29 Apr, 2024 @ 8:22pm
broke ass mod confirmed 3.11 DOES NOT work
SMN665 16 Mar, 2024 @ 11:27pm
@moonraker65 you were able to generate 500k stars???
Klyph 12 Mar, 2024 @ 11:13am
il keep trying, thanks!
McAwesome  [author] 10 Mar, 2024 @ 5:55pm
hm, I don't know why that happens
Klyph 10 Mar, 2024 @ 11:09am
tnx for ur answer btw
Klyph 10 Mar, 2024 @ 11:09am
I tried that, but i am stupid and could not get it to work. The game just adds the space at the edges but doesnt really fill up that space with the stars.. or at least from what i could tell. I guess there needs to be a modifier too that spreads out the stars more. dunno what part of the files i need to edit for that tho..
McAwesome  [author] 10 Mar, 2024 @ 8:19am
not aware of one so far, but you can make a mod, copy stellaris/map/setup_scenarios to your_mod/map/setup_scenarios, and change the radius in the files there.
just don't make it higher than 500 because there's a hard limit on how large the map can be.
Klyph 9 Mar, 2024 @ 4:16am
Is there a mod somewhere that makes the map bigger but not the amount of stars? so theres 600 stars on a 1000 star map? Ive tried modding it myself but i suck donkeyballs..
moonraker65 7 Mar, 2024 @ 3:19am
Most likely. Would be interested to see how high it could go with 256 GB but not many systems can go that high yet
McAwesome  [author] 7 Mar, 2024 @ 2:11am
that's likely some limitation in the game and not related to your hardware.
moonraker65 6 Mar, 2024 @ 3:28am
Maximum I can get with 128 GB DDR 5 RAM is 500000. Anything bigger and it crashes
IVG | Spartankiller 4 Mar, 2024 @ 5:19pm
Update please? Game crashes on launch and I'm only launching the game with this and gigastructures mod
Saphintosh 18 Dec, 2023 @ 12:41am
Feeling like micromanaging an empire in a 1.000.000 stars galaxy
IronWar 10 Oct, 2023 @ 11:02am
soldiert01 could be that clicking on the system requests a certain amount of data at the same time, crashing it. if you want to prevent crashes load as little data into one system as possible
