find workshop folder, look through any recent addons you downloaded that make this addon not work correctly
open vpk file with gcfscape, check if sound.cache file exists
if the file exists, unpack the vpk, delete sound.cache and then repack it by dragging it on vpk.exe in the bin folder (Black Mesa/bin)
check if addon works, best spots are hev suit captions and security guard in anomalous materials caption saying "what's up?" as the addon intends instead of "wassup?" as the original game intends.
if addon doesn't work, unsubscribe from it, an example of one addon being incompatible entirely is immersive bootup.
