I'm still using this ship, lovely.
Fristy 29 Nov, 2020 @ 5:36am
Well I need a small ship that can go around and fit nicely under the gladius, I might have to make one by my self

I'd like to recommend my own miner, but honestly there's a lot that are far better :)
This collection has something for pretty much every occasion: https://sp.zhabite.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=1925482458

Do you have any suggestions on a miner ship that suits well with your ship?
Major Jon  [author] 22 Apr, 2020 @ 7:39pm
Exactly, you can replace the guns with connectors or whatever else you want. Or you weld up the attachable guns I've made (like this one) and attach them to the rotors. I made this ship before I made the guns, I'll eventually update it, use the premade guns and link them in the description.
Adjoint [PAX] 22 Apr, 2020 @ 6:18pm
Hello. So, if I use a welder or Nanite technology, I will have the whole ship except guns right ? Everything else will be there. Thx :)

With empty inventory it doesn't even need the hydros to ascend to space, so unless you fill it all up with platinum ingots, it should be plenty capable of doing so, probably even without the hydros.
Junebug 1 Mar, 2020 @ 1:54am
Can this land on Earth like with full inventory?
Major Jon  [author] 19 Feb, 2020 @ 6:28am
I just didn't have enough space for large grid rocket launchers, so I put the small ones on a rotor. The rotor is locked and the rocket launchers only shoot forwards and you have to shoot them manually.
Uneasyarcher 18 Feb, 2020 @ 10:03pm
whats in pic 8?
a turret
Major Jon  [author] 17 Feb, 2020 @ 2:06pm
It does not have small grid turrets, just normal guns.
Uneasyarcher 17 Feb, 2020 @ 2:01pm
when you add small grid turrets you shuld add wip's turret slaver.
Kackdackel 22 Dec, 2019 @ 12:13pm
You, Sir jonathan, are a master of detail and creativity. Keep going, I really like your builds!
Major Jon  [author] 18 Oct, 2019 @ 6:02pm
The Mk1-Phobos and Mk8-Nano definitely fit, I've already tested those. The larger ones maybe, but they would look pretty ugly on this ship anyways. Thanks to how the projectors work right now, the turrets are even harder to build in survival though.
Delta70 18 Oct, 2019 @ 5:15pm
Do you think it would be compatible with some of your other turret BP's that you have on your workshop?
Major Jon  [author] 18 Oct, 2019 @ 11:35am
Projectors sadly don't project subgrids at all. Maybe Keen will add this feature at some point in the future. Right now your only option is to just build your own guns onto the rotors. They are fairly simple after all and you can take the screenshots as reference. The rotors are locked by the way, so they are just guns, not really turrets. I'm planning to replace them with standardized guns for all of my ships and uploading those guns separately to the workshop, so you could just weld them independently and then simply attach them.
Delta70 18 Oct, 2019 @ 11:18am
The BP when projected seems to be missing the gatling turrets and rocket launchers.
Major Jon  [author] 26 Sep, 2019 @ 3:31pm
The green things are O2/H2's. I used them because they connect from large to small conveyor port and are only 2 blocks thick. Also they look cool :D
The camera is just that, a camera, no other pupose. I just couldn't fit it anywhere else.
Vapid 26 Sep, 2019 @ 1:26pm
Sorry, this is killing me, what are the small (green) blocks you mounted the gatlings on? Apologies, not done rotor turrets before. Also, why the camera or sensor on the front of the missile rotor?
Deverydoo 21 Sep, 2019 @ 2:06pm
Love this ship. The forward facing cockpit will make it exciting to fly.
latent 12 Sep, 2019 @ 7:53pm
I totes could have turned on 'show on HUD' like 20 minutes before I did, but let's just never speak of that. ;)
Major Jon  [author] 12 Sep, 2019 @ 7:46pm
Thanks for noticing, I missed that. Must have been really annoying looking for that :D
latent 12 Sep, 2019 @ 7:40pm
There's a catwalk plate over the internal air vent that my ship printer automatically completed and I was looking for that interior vent forever wondering where it was. Should that plate be colored red (to mark it to be ground down / only partially built?)

Otherwise, WONDERFUL ship!
Major Jon  [author] 8 Sep, 2019 @ 6:43pm
It's a blueprint. You can copy paste it in with F10, that only works in creative mode though.
In survival you can use a projector (large grid), select this blueprint and then weld it together.
Marc 8 Sep, 2019 @ 6:16pm
Hey Jonathan is this going to be on the Markets? in game? how would that work? anyway, I hope to see more of your work..
Krazee Crab 8 Sep, 2019 @ 3:03am
jonathan thanks
Miko 7 Sep, 2019 @ 3:09pm
Okay thanks.
Major Jon  [author] 7 Sep, 2019 @ 2:54pm
I used gimp, it's open source and a lot like photoshop
OmegaEntertainment 7 Sep, 2019 @ 2:41pm
Hey jonathan, I just heard that you got spotlighted by Captain Jack.
Miko 7 Sep, 2019 @ 2:34pm
What's the program you used to create the Preview image?
Marc 7 Sep, 2019 @ 2:25pm
What a Sexy Ship you've made!
Major Jon  [author] 7 Sep, 2019 @ 12:20pm
@Krazee Crab Go to appdate/roaming/spaceengineers/blueprints/local/yourship and just switch out or edit the thumb.png. It has to be smaller than 1 mb though, or else you can't upload it to the workshop. If its already uploaded, you have to upload it again from the game to update the thumbnail.
Krazee Crab 7 Sep, 2019 @ 5:52am
How did you change the workshop thumbnail cause I haven't managed to work out how to actually change it for some reason lmao
Kamov KA-52 7 Sep, 2019 @ 3:16am
lol, it crashed my game :D
KaiBowman 7 Sep, 2019 @ 12:59am
I would definitely use this if space engineers didn't crash whenever i loaded/created a save which has only been happening since the economy update :/ But great work
Major Jon  [author] 5 Sep, 2019 @ 5:40pm
I don't think it's possible at all to do this with projectors and I think it would be a lot easier to just rebuild them from the screenshots instead of building them separately from a bunch of blueprints and then attaching them. Or you could just build your own guns onto the rotors, they are totally optional after all.
jedi.khan 5 Sep, 2019 @ 5:19pm
Got the BP's for the subgrids, or is there perhaps projectors installed that have them already?
Major Jon  [author] 5 Sep, 2019 @ 3:34pm
@jedi.khan It's the Decorative pack DLC , since I used some of the interior blocks introduced in that dlc and also some armor textures it. I am pretty sure you don't actually need it though and can just use this ship normally, it might just be missing the textures and you probably won't be able to use the beds, armoury and toilet :D
WARLORD2306 5 Sep, 2019 @ 3:23pm
i just had an amazing idea:
what if this was added to a mod that changes/adds ships you can buy in the economy update
Memlapse 5 Sep, 2019 @ 7:38am
While the ship looks great the details and quality of the presentation is fantastic! Really well put together!
jedi.khan 4 Sep, 2019 @ 9:26pm
Steam is telling me I need a DLC for this BP. What DLC item did you use?
CrimsonAdder 4 Sep, 2019 @ 8:09pm
well, uhh, I'm glad you are experimenting with new color schemes?
Alpha-5 4 Sep, 2019 @ 12:59am
Beautifully done, amazing functionality that looks awesome :D
MIMI Sentry 3 Sep, 2019 @ 8:44am
Oooh ok I didn't know if it was a better alternative to just edge drawing in gimp or not.

Awesome ship by the way! I always love a good small large grid :)
Major Jon  [author] 3 Sep, 2019 @ 5:09am
If you export ships with ctrl-alt-e, you can open the exported .obj file with most cad programs.
I used Inventor to do the drawing and then edited it a bit with gimp. Can't really recommed it though, Inventor was struggling hard and needed like 15 gb of ram just to open the .obj
MIMI Sentry 2 Sep, 2019 @ 9:17pm
What did you use to get the line art style views of the ship?
