@Token
Most likely not as i moved onto other things. I considered it way back then, but... Learning a new vector of modding just wasn't on the menu, not too mention that it appeared too obscure.

Hello there, this is personally one of my favorite soundtrack mods on the workshop. I was wondering if you ever planned on doing a WWise version of this mod. I do realize it's quite a few years late to be asking this.
Kruzil 28.2.2022 klo 18.37
This is a perfect fit for XCOM, thanks!

Hard to believe Hotline Miami's soundtrack hasnt been ported in here.

probably, but whatever happens with memory management it increases a lot the frequency of game crashes. surely other mods may be contributing to the issue (maybe some models may have more polys or something), but only after i disabled the ost mod the game has been working mostly ok. few slow downs and so far no crahes.

i will check later another ost, and will update your after. i really like this ost, si hope if with this i can help a bit to make it work better sometime.

Easily. Never had game crashes myself, but i do experience a good 5-10 seconds freeze when loading into main menu and my save files. Its not even specifically my mod (at least i hope so) - it's music mods in general. Something about how the game doesn't pre-render (or otherwise prepares) moded data, and manually re-renders it whenever it gets called for during game session. I know it sucks and i hate it too, but such is the price of musical mods so i got used to it and its just part of my experience.

Have no comments on crashes though. I know about freezes, but crashes? Unless something changed with the game and musical mods are straight broken now - i have no idea. If its really that bad you'll have to play without it.
For experiment's sake - try to download another music mod and see if its any different.

ive been playing with your mod, but recently ive experienced loading issues and more frequent game crashes when loading save files or starting a mission. After disabling your mod the game seems to run better.

Could the issue be related to the quality of the sound files or how they were compressed what causes the loading issues?

It is. You can even see it on this page: steam supports ability to "link" required mods and as such on the right side of page under "requied DLC" you should see "required items" and MMS is linked there.

is this the right file: https://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=757398474&searchtext=Music+Modding+System ?

there are other mods that include the name in their title.

The one where you usually get to pick between XCOM:EU / Default / TLP music packs?
That's because its not supposed to.
Music Modding System brute forces the tracks to play in the game bypassing whatever you picked in the game's game settings. In fact, the in-game chosen music pack will play whenever MMS will fail to play (as for example back-from-the-mission loading screens).

the soundtrack is not appearing to be playable in the soundtrack selection drop down.

Thank you for making this. Ever since hearing the Brigador soundtrack I've wanted to hear it in other games, and with this mod, that wish becomes a reality.
Viper 8.12.2019 klo 15.42
OH MAN I love the Brigador soundtrack. Cant wait to try this out
Anarchaz 18.11.2019 klo 19.13
Bad sound quality, poor music variety, bunch of vanilla music popping in
Artek [General]  [tekijä] 18.11.2019 klo 18.53
Unfortunately i don't feel passionate enough about it. You could commision it on modders' discord server.
What's wrong with the one on the workshop right now? Bad sound quality?
Anarchaz 18.11.2019 klo 18.20
Hey, man. I have a request, if you may oblige me. Could you make a better Star Wars Music Pack than the crappy one that exists or help me make one? Thanks in advance.
Artek [General]  [tekijä] 6.10.2019 klo 17.33
The celebrations were unjustified.
The music refuses to play during Avanger Defense in all of its' forms. I have no idea why.
Will try to resolve it when i can and if i can.

Well if you can add more showcase videos sure why not, think of it as advertising your work a little bit more for wider audience. :cozyrealmroyale:

I didn't know about this game until I came across this mod. Love the soundtrack, and thanks to your work, I bought Brigador and I enjoy it thoroughly. Thanks mate.
Artek [General]  [tekijä] 8.8.2019 klo 14.15
Should i add more showcase videos down the road? Considering the currently present one only shows like 6 compositions, and not even the best ones.

I've never heard of this game but am already in love with its soundtrack and see why you chose it, fits XCOM perfectly!

"The mod seems to be causing freezes of some kind when attempting to load music. Most noticeable in main menu upon game launch. Other music mods didn't seem to cause it, and intense investigation into code / soundcue differences for any possible causes revealed nothing. The mod JUST does that. Go figure."
Naw, as far as I can tell this is just inherent to MMS. This is something that kicks in for me with any MMS-based music mod, including my own.
I'd guess it's because the game refuses to properly pre-cache the audio files for its music tracks and doesn't have a proper system for loading them on the fly without interrupting the game either. Doesn't help that XCOM 2 forces you to use such a bloated audio format for music, of course.
STIG 4.8.2019 klo 6.10
Great music! Reminds me of the games from the 90s, really fits in with the Xcom settings.:2018bestcoffee:
