J.E. Spaceman 27 apr 2024 om 14:13
Any reason why this mod might not be appearing in my mod list? Do I just need to reset the cache?

Good Mod, I just wanted to mention that the Maize Resource Icon is not being displayed properly for me.It's just blacked out.

Thanks for your great mod.But I thought rice and maize are better developed by farmland not plantation. It's more reasonable just like the true world. And the amount of food given by rice is a bit overpowered maybe lower is better just like wheat.I hope you can change it.Thanks
JEELEN 25 jul 2019 om 13:08
@framedarchitecture: Playing on YnAEMP, rice never spawns. (And when I manually try to place some, it's never highlighted as a suitable resource. I place it anyway, of course.)
ThatOneCelt 6 jun 2019 om 12:55
this mod doesnt show up when subscribed, where can I get it downloaded ?
JEELEN 14 mei 2019 om 11:26
@Late To The Party: Works w/YnAEMP (tried on Giant), though some reosurces may pop up in geographically inaccurate places.
MaX-NOR 28 dec 2018 om 4:03
Great mod
SkyeAura 28 jul 2018 om 15:21
I think the amount of food given by rice is a bit overpowered. I get about six food very early on, which rivals a Hanging gardens without the opportunity cost. Heck I find myself looking for spots with multiple rice tiles (which is sort off common at least in the games I've played) because it makes for such quick growth.
Chrissant 22 dec 2017 om 0:49
you gotta use the world editor.
Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra 11 feb 2017 om 10:49
Hey, does anyone know if theres a way to stop the resources from automaticallyy distributing on the map? I want to handplace them to make a WB map
Cippoleo 29 dec 2016 om 18:11
buon oggetto che permette di ampliare ancora di più le possibilità del gioco... grazie
Dr. Oz The Great And Powerful 25 sep 2016 om 12:20
I know you said you wouldn't be changing the mod soon, but shouldn't rice be a marsh resource like sugar?
framedarchitecture  [auteur] 25 sep 2016 om 5:57
@[TFM] bh5496 It's a good idea (assuming that the modded game includes a granary - can't take anything for granted!). However, I'm not going to be changing this mod any time soon. You are welcome to make any changes you like, however.
Dr. Oz The Great And Powerful 24 sep 2016 om 10:21
Would you consider reducing the base food value of Maize and Rice and add them to the resourced buffed by the grannary?
Cheesy Weesy 27 aug 2016 om 12:05
Nice mod man. I love how much detail goes into these.
Styner2584 1 aug 2016 om 7:07

Lord Raccoon 15 mei 2016 om 11:26
I turned on this resources, started new game but didnt even find them. Where are they?
Dragabond 29 mrt 2016 om 7:43
Snagged this because it seemed like it simply added the resources without being overly complicated or monkeying around with too much. It does exactly that. I love it. :D
todwyer01 17 mrt 2016 om 8:24
Works great and helps make the game more interesting. Thx.
TK 12 dec 2015 om 6:12
I will be using these in my project. Thanks!

ProjectHopeless 3 aug 2015 om 20:54
I would be willing to translate this mod into German for you! Free of charge, of course.

I'll dublicate my message here =)
I've made ru_RU localization for AmerResources. Could you please update your mod? Take xml file here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B43yR6miKwgBeVlSWm90OVRIS00/view?usp=sharing

Please don't forget to add ru_RU lines to Amer-Asian Resources (v 5).modinfo
thanks! =)

Curious, upon reloading a saved game, corn and rice has spawned to every river tile in the world, although not tiles that already had other resources. I'm using this mod together with the More Luxuries mod, and therefore using the edited files by Mikeburnfire (to avoid double resources).

Is there any solution?
BaoBaB 4 jul 2015 om 5:55
Thanks adds to the game play.
Venusaisha 30 mei 2015 om 22:55
awesome.
Binch 29 mei 2015 om 8:19
Steam doesn't download it for me (it doesn't show up in the menu and isn't in the mods folder)
Zant0r 10 mei 2015 om 5:18
It's not loading the art pictures ingame? Any ideas why?
TrollofReason 19 mrt 2015 om 10:20
Update for @framedarchitecture
It... seems to have fixed itself. That is weird, sorry to have dumped a mystery in your lap, I thought I had a handle on the bug's behavior.
TrollofReason 18 mrt 2015 om 15:33
@framedarchitecture
Except that's what happens. Either something removes them, or something causes the mod to fail to recognize and thus remove the resources.
I have an observed variable that might help. The Amer-Asian resources stick around when the mod is both A) enabled, and B) at least one of them has an exploit improvement upon it. If there is no exploiting improvement, like say, a plantation, then when I save the game and close it, and then pick it up later and load the saved game they're all gone. No rice, maize, tobacco, or tea.
framedarchitecture  [auteur] 18 mrt 2015 om 12:28
@TrollofReason This mod has no effect on the map after it is generated. There is no way it can remove resources from the map.
TrollofReason 18 mrt 2015 om 11:02
Hmmn, this mod isn't the most reliable these days. I'm not sure why, but whenever I load up a saved game after restarting the game and enabling the mods again, the resources that WERE there aren't there anymore. It started happening after I updated some other mods made by this author. This lack of the Amer-Asian resources persists until I set up a NEW game and reload the mods a second time.
KahunaGod 8 mrt 2015 om 21:09
NM, figured out my mistake. Love the mod!
KahunaGod 7 mrt 2015 om 18:37
I have been using and loving this mod! Thanks for creating it! Please add to it if you can.

I have one questions: I have been attempting to combine all of my favorite mods together, following the structure that i found in the VEM modinfofile, ie-moving all the files over into a singlemodindo file, moving the modaction files, moving the rentry points, etc. This works great for everything except this mod. When I do that i lose the tile graphics. I have checked to amke sure that all the pathways for the xml and lua files are correct. Any ideas?
c.scho 3 mrt 2015 om 19:35
for some reason, after i susbcribe to this mod, it doesn't not show up on my list of subscribed mods in my game. Does anyone know why this is happening? plz help me :(
Boomerang 31 dec 2014 om 17:28
I don't see these resources on map i think.... playing latest accurate earth
TrollofReason 19 nov 2014 om 22:46
Looove this mod! Just wish there were more resources. Immediate ideas are olives, soy beans, chicle (rubber), and agave. Two old, two new world! Bam. Also... Manioc casava, an edible new world root now found throughout Africa, and feeding billions due to its drought resistance and high caloric content. Aaand... honey bees? Bees are actually common across much of the old world, but only one species was suitable for domestication, making it a valuable, semi-transportable resource valued as much for its high-quality wax as for its sweet honey that was also known to have medicinal and even preservative qualities.

I rather like resource mods that make the game faster, in case you hadn't noticed.
Emu 3 nov 2014 om 22:52
Is there any I can add these luxuries to your Accurate Earth map? I want to keep old world resources in the old world and new world resources in the new world.
framedarchitecture  [auteur] 2 nov 2014 om 21:21
@varloislaurent Exactly as it should be!
kenny57 8 okt 2014 om 8:55
i'm playing a game with your accurated earth (very great one btw) and i see that tea luxury gives me 3 points of happiness while tobacco gives me 5 points... is this ok?
mikeburnfire 4 okt 2014 om 8:11
Sorry, you said we were welcome to change the mod, so I did, and then I felt compelled to share it. No offense intended.
framedarchitecture  [auteur] 4 okt 2014 om 8:06
@mikeburnfire I would appreciate it if you had asked me before reposting my mod.... it's just modding courtesy.

For other users ... other mods DEPEND on this mod remaining as is. And I like my "yellow pudding" graphic. So, it remains as is on my side...
mikeburnfire 4 okt 2014 om 7:35
Okay, I edited the files so that tea and tobacco are removed. If you want the stand-alone "Rice and Maize" version, follow these instructions:

http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=535068
mikeburnfire 25 sep 2014 om 5:33
I really want to add Maize and Rice into my game, but this definitely won't mesh well with the More Luxuries mod. If somebody with moding knowledge could isolate just these resources into a separate mod, you will be my new best friend.
OPENSRCRAIDR 24 aug 2014 om 15:25
Ah, sorry for bothering you then. Anyways, still definitely worth using if you don't want too many luxury resources in your game :)
framedarchitecture  [auteur] 24 aug 2014 om 0:20
@Ravenous Gamer Sorry, I don't do mod requests. As always, you are welcome to change the mod in any way you like.
