all custom spiecies seems lost their hair. think because hairstyle is now attachables something update probley changed.

@TurtleShroom Not sure how much this helps at this point, but it should be loaded after the original since it needs to override parts of it.

Also looks like there is some kind of issue now with Planetary Diversity. Original Xirmians + This+PD crashes at 100% loading in from the launcher. Going to try to see if that comes up with other portrait mods. Sucks since I know some version of this worked a while back with PD and a load of other stuff at least pre megacorp, last time I played.

PLEASE make it so that the Xirmians are their own Species Class. I hate having my Species overwritten every update!

You should set the Xirmians as their own thing in the species window in order to prevent any compatibility issues.

doesn't appear in the list, that's where the problem is. I was wondering if one of my other mods was conflicting, but even by disabling all other mods, the problem persists.
maybe it is a problem with the last update ? 2.2.7 is supposed to not have change many things, but meh, can't figure what the problem is, as i tried the solutions already suggested here

@Ellador Do you mean the custom empire doesnt appear in the list of prescripted Empires or it doesnt appear on the map after starting a new game? The problem would be either in prescripted_countries, or solar_system_initializers.

hey i have the same problem, but the Custom Empire doesn't spawn. So i can't select that either.
I tried to find the problem in the files, but i can't find any problem.
I even tried to manually install it, still not working.

Note to everyone who aren't seeing them as a species option: It's still possible to select them, but you need to use a small workaround. Just go to the prescripted Xirmian Astral Concordat, and either save it as-is if you want to force-spawn them, or edit them to your heart's content if you want to play as them. Just DO NOT touch their appearance or you'll have to start all over with the prescripted empire.

Yes it does. Even if version doesnt match at the moment. Im currently working on a few small fixes and a content expansion. Its going to be custom deposits on Wurthe.

Anyway, I'd appreciate if you could integrate the original mod together... I don't want to have outdated mods enabled, since retaining control over what works and what doesn't is beyond my sanity capabilities.

And yes, mods editing the Humanoid category can indeed conflict. Not all do, but some definitely do.

After further testing, I have identified at least one cause of the "space pixies not showing up" issue.

Any mod that edits the "humanoid" species category will likely cause the issue. Trait mods do not seem to cause problems with the Xirmian Portraits Expansion.

For anyone experiencing a problem where neither the portraits nor the custom empire appear, it's almost certainly a mod conflict. I was reading through the original mod's comments, and it happened there too. Trait mods seem to be the problem, at least originally. I haven't isolated the exact conflict yet, but I disabled every other mod but the Xirmian mods, and the problem was resolved.

Is there any chance for a version of this mod that doesn't add Silfae's custom name list into the humanoid mix? I keep getting generated AI empires using the Xirmian name now for other species.

Can confirm, mod works just fine with Remastered Human Portraits, Human Variety, the prescripted empire shows up right alongside other prescripted empires added by mods. I even ran across a Xirnian Fallen Empire.

Tested it with the remastered human portraits and it worked together without problems, like expected. Im honestly stumped. The only thing that comes to mind is activating this mod without the original dependency, but I already talked about that. Have you tried activating both mods alone?

@Endugu nothing is there, it just doesn't work. I dunno, it's activated, I press yes to play with out of date mods, other mods all load, other out of date mods load, this one does not. I don't even currently have any other race mods either other than the remastered human portraits, not sure why this won't work for me.

The No Upkeep bug only affects custom species classes, and I made the Xirmians humanoid. Which I wanted to do anyway, since they arent "unique" enough for their own species class.

That bug is also one of the 2 reasons I still cant release the Hollow Portrait update. Those are their own species class. The other is a missing model that just doesnt want to load.

I don't suppose you could group up all the (upcoming) fixes for silfaes creations into a single mod for easier viewing in the launcher?

I mean it'd be great if you could include the assets too so I can remove the outdated mods to prevent slowdown, but I'll take what I can get. :steamsad:
