@jjb890814 use R.O.N to change the gate ramp to a one of Seb's taxiways. It works for me.

Hi, thanks for these amazing looking assets! Just one question, the gate connection seems like it will have ground clipping when using yours to connect directly to the gate, is there a way to use yours for gates as well? I do know I can use vanila taxiway for gates but love your version more so wanted to see if there is a way. Thanks!

tip for those trying to employ these with the airport dlc.... set up your airport area, place the vanilla runway required for leveling, use BOB mod to remove runway lights (reduce probability to 0) and then bulldoze the runway, it should leave the light strips at each end that can both be moved individually with moveit allowing you to utilise all these runways as normal dlc runways with airport area upgrading
Congzi 30. März 2023 um 14:11
@ northsidejr That's about rendering. You can check out mods like Ultimate Level Of Detail (ULOD). Enjoy.

runway markings aren't visible from a distance.. anyone know why?
inguy24 16. Feb. 2023 um 18:52
I agree with just about everyone that your assets look much better than the cartoons created for the DLC. I am having a problem with "array out of range" error when I have your taxiway connected to a vanilla DLC runway. I cannot exit out of the error and I see planes start to move rapidly back and forth. I understand I cannot use your runways, but not sure if I am doing something wrong with utilizing your taxiways with DLC vanilla runways? Do I need to leave a stub of DLC vanilla taxiway connected to the runway instead?

Had to replace my runways with vanilla runways because planes don't use them, they just take off vertically at the end. Does this with both bi directional and one directional runways. It's a shame because these runways look amazing but they just don't work at the moment. For reference, I am playing without airport DLC.
Asgeir 29. Dez. 2022 um 19:07
i do hope that the runway are able to meet the runway requirement to grow your airport
Asgeir 29. Dez. 2022 um 19:02
@Talya I dont have airport roads installed and these roads still work. They work with airport DLC, but the runways will not check off the runway achievement for airport dlc. I had the two way runway in my city but aircraft were landing randomly , so made them one-way
TalyCat 24. Dez. 2022 um 6:06
1. do the bi directional runways work?
2. do you still need airport roads if you use network anarchy
3. will it work with airport dlc?
kinsoyy 13. Okt. 2022 um 2:20
planes don't seem to land at my airport anymore when I use the runways :(
The taxiways work fine though.
ModZilla 19. Feb. 2022 um 7:19
btw, when the planes reach the runway, they take off instantly or vertically take off, however, it doesn't do that on vanilla runways
ModZilla 18. Feb. 2022 um 17:30
nvm, its working
ModZilla 18. Feb. 2022 um 17:07
I found a problem that no planes would take off or land on these runways, only on the vanilla runways?, it was working before.
ModZilla 12. Feb. 2022 um 11:28
Why not the Taxiway and Runway Ai be updated
eXcalibre_ 8. Feb. 2022 um 15:24
@sebnichols yeah im still having planes saying they're taxiing for 90% the length of the runway then taking off the last second which causes them to move unrealistically slow along the whole length of the runway then taking off almost vertically at the end. Also some planes are landing on the taxiways for some reason. Airport worked fine before the DLC update :(
sebnichols  [Autor] 8. Feb. 2022 um 2:24
@DeaconPmp This pack is compatible with the new DLC, but please note:

1) There is terrain clipping between my taxiways and the new ones
2) Don't mix my runways with the DLC ones, you can mix taxiways though
3) There is a small change that weird behaviour might occur (strange movement etc.), because this pack uses the old Taxiway and Runway AI, which was quite poor.
DeaconPmp 7. Feb. 2022 um 15:18
@sebnichols any luck on testing your compatibility with the new Airports DLC? While so much better than the original vanilla assets, they're just... wrong and these are, hands down, the best options for people who want realistic airports in CS
SPECTRE 27. Jan. 2022 um 4:48
It's funny how CO is constantly handed well crafted assets on a silver platter and then decides to let people who have never seen an actual airport design the airport assets for their paid content...
eXcalibre_ 26. Jan. 2022 um 21:29
@sbnichols much appreciated! I love the concrete runways!
RobBobBobert 26. Jan. 2022 um 6:49
These nets are amazing, btw. Even with the new DLC still the best available.
sebnichols  [Autor] 26. Jan. 2022 um 6:46
@RobBobBobert Thank you for the suggestions, I will try and implement them
RobBobBobert 26. Jan. 2022 um 6:27
If you’re already reworking, using Adaptive Networks could combine all meshes into a single pack, including markings. It would vastly streamline placement, while still allowing the customization. The lines could be included on junctions, for example (they are in the new DLC) and customized based on TMPE lane connections. (I think those work for plane paths…)
sebnichols  [Autor] 26. Jan. 2022 um 3:54
@eXcalibre_ Thanks for letting me know, I'll take a look. I'm currently investigating compatibility between this pack and the new DLC.
eXcalibre_ 26. Jan. 2022 um 3:44
Hey, im having an issue with planes now using all of the networks in this pack as taxiways and sometimes planes are landing on actual taxiways instead of the runway networks ever since the airports dlc update. Not sure if this may be an issue with your asset or just custom airport roads in general.

@Ahegao Use the "elevated" sections (see the thumbnails above). Because the game does not support elevated runways and taxiways there will be terrain underneath. If you use a terraforming network and place it under the elevated section you will be able to make the runway or taxiway "float". However, I'm not sure if it will block the water or not.
BrowncoatTrekky 31. Mai 2021 um 18:00
@Kombat Wombat has to do with the game calculating cim movement. There were several mods conflicting that contributed to the issue. Updates on the way. If you notice updates on your mods, I always recommend unsubscribing, making sure they aren't in your local, and then resubscribing.
FORTE11 31. Mai 2021 um 13:40
How does the floating parts of this mod work? I really want to be able to build parts of my runway as built floating, or at the very least is built on stilts like the ones in Tokyo or in Macau
Kombat Wombat 11. Mai 2021 um 18:13
@browncoattrekky

Me too. Any idea what the mod conflict might be?
SA547PH 19. Apr. 2021 um 10:07
Update -- discovered that airport networks can be applied with the Intersection Marking Tool. ATM however can only mark the sides, not the middle node.
SA547PH 15. Apr. 2021 um 20:53
All's needed is to check the flight paths in the map and then adjust and edit those paths to align with your airport runways.
BrowncoatTrekky 26. März 2021 um 5:28
@Glitch can't say what your issue is specifically but there is a mod related issue in the game atm to do with some vehicles. I have 0 planes landing or taking off at civilian airports and my industry airports have planes just circling the airport constantly.
Glitch Trix 25. März 2021 um 21:32
Can anyone confirm if these runways are still working? I used to use the original runway and taxi way for my modular airports but decided to try these since it is way more visually pleasing. However I am not getting any traffic both on take off and landing. I have air traffic in the sky flying to neighboring cities but not here. Been years in game time. Using more network connections mod but no sauce. I tried adding a few extra air routes but no help there. Id really hate to have to go back to the vanilla runway / taxi way.
BrowncoatTrekky 10. Feb. 2021 um 20:34
Is it possible to get some decorative variants to place over functional vanilla ones?
Asgeir 9. Jan. 2021 um 13:29
i have the same issue with landing/takeoff. i cant get it to work. even with airport roads
Asgeir 9. Jan. 2021 um 13:26
@Roventane have you turned the asset on in content manager?
Roventane 9. Jan. 2021 um 9:13
Okay idk if I'm just being dumb, but I can not get this or airport roads to work. Idk if it's both or just one, but the runways and taxiways don't show up when I load into my game. Plz send help :/
Dying 21. Sep. 2020 um 9:31
Despawn has other issues. Delete the taxiway back to the runway and make it new. Avoid use of Move It on a runway or taxiway, except height setting. Also do not set buildings on plane stand. This collision may force despawn or avoid spawing of planes. Please use probs instead.
Dovahseod 21. Sep. 2020 um 6:19
@Dying I managed to get a few landings and takeoffs by attaching a bit of vanilla runway to them. Seems like planes consider the runways as taxiways when pathfinding yet take off on them. Now they are spawning at gate, but none landing or taxiing out... Might be a lack of passengers or issues with my accel/decel settings in AVO. I'll try troubleshoot with AVO and see if it stops the planes from despawning at gate.
Dying 20. Sep. 2020 um 7:16
@Creeper_NoDenial It`s mostly a question of the plane pathways in the sky. You should edit it for better results. Furthermore I noticed that runways need to place in one line at once directly to work properly. If you draw two runways, planes will mostly use the same one (easy & lazy pathfinding). I make first one for landing and use the second one for take-off, to have both in use.
Dovahseod 6. Sep. 2020 um 6:35
Great asset pack, and they're quite necessary for a good looking airport.

However I find my planes doing weird stuffs on the asset runways. Taxiways work normally, thank the gods, but the runways does not seem to be recognized by the planes. They try to taxi on them to a vanilla runway I placed to run tests, and end up taking off on the asset runway and stuck in the air trying to find a path to the vanilla runway. Any way to solve this? Thanks in advance!
Polaris 24. Juli 2020 um 0:44
oops...It couldn't use in the game, but I can see it in the asset lol.
sebnichols  [Autor] 24. Mai 2020 um 11:58
@Karameru The only thing I can think of is to change Ploppable Asphalt + asphalt colour in the options.

Or try concrete taxiway -> dasp taxiway -> dasp runway then cover any gaps with ploppable pavement
Karameru 24. Mai 2020 um 8:41
Thanks. Tried to connect to lighter runway but unfortunately the transition between concrete and other colored road are not that smooth i.e. C vs L/M/D. Ploppable asphalt also only matches the color with the L color. Can't find any that matches with the dark version. Do you know any mod that have Dark color matching with your color scheme?
sebnichols  [Autor] 24. Mai 2020 um 7:56
@Karameru Ploppable asphalt or concrete. The other way to do it is connect a dark taxiway to dark runway then transition from dark taxiway to concrete taxiway.
Karameru 24. Mai 2020 um 7:23
I noticed when connecting the nodes of taxiway/runway of different type will create a weird jagged markings on the runway i.e. concrete taxiway connect to dark runway. Is there a way to cover up the weird jagged patch?

May I please use your plane templates?
