Thanks for the reply! I indeed downloaded the deco version by mistake. I was on the page with the list of all the different storage facilities and just assumed that they were the functional ones, since the description didn't mention deco ^^

@Vasco Da Llama: Sounds like you ended up getting the decorative park version and not this warehouse version. This one and the ones in the More Ore - Industries DLC collection (link above the description) are warehouses.

The ones in this collection are decorative: https://sp.zhabite.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=556421177

Hi Avanya, the coal storage is a ploppable park instead of a storage warehouse facility. I just downloaded the mod and haven't changed any settings in RICO or anything. Is there something I'm missing?

They store different resources. This one stores raw ore. "Zoned Ore Products" is the intermediate resource that the growable ore industry produces and which is used to generic industry and coal plants. So what you need depends on what your city needs.

This one looks identical to the "Bulk Storage - Zoned Ore Products" asset. How are they different? Do I need them both, or should I only use this one if I'm also using the other bulk storage assets that are cosmetically different ores? Thanks! I love your whole Industries series!

Could be. Probably a workshop hickup. They happen at times. At least things are back to normal again. ^^
Ventru 13 febr. 2021 la 13:07
Now. It's OK. It was just temp issue. I was able to see it the next day. Maybe something with the workshop.
Avanya  [autor] 13 febr. 2021 la 10:26
@Ventru: Hmm... That's weird! I still see it listed as required. Do you still not see it? It should be on the right below where it shows Industries DLC is required.
Ventru 11 febr. 2021 la 1:24
Hi, I think something happened with the decal on workshop?
It is not listed as the required asset but it is still needed as per LSM.
Was it removed or made private?

@CreatorOfWorlds: Yeah, I imagine the oil power plant is similar and uses the refined oil from the zoned oil industry as well. Generic industries also use the specific resources from Industries (metal, plastic and so on), so I wonder if the power plants accept those too (which would be a bit silly) or if they only use the zoned ones. Makes it worth having the zoned industries resources as storages too.
CreatorOfWorlds 27 iul. 2019 la 11:17
@Avanya, by the way the same issue goes for the three other ressources where there is an 'intermediate ressource' not quite obvious to the player.
CreatorOfWorlds 27 iul. 2019 la 11:08
@Avanya, My testing shows that the coal plant only accepts the 'coal', not the raw ore.
So that explains what you mention about the ore storage.
A work around would be to use on of the general warehouse and set it up for 'the specialized zoned ore industry' ressource, then the coal plant and the genereric industry would most likely get there ressources from there. That is what i did in my testing.

I could do a 'real' coal warehouse my self via the asset editor. But since you have some nice assets already and a big group following you, it would make more sense for you publish something when you have the time :-)
In the mean time I can convert the industry DLC warehouse that looks like a coal storage to actual coal and use myself.
Avanya  [autor] 27 iul. 2019 la 10:54
@CreatorOfWorlds: Huh, I did not know that the internal name for the unspecified processed ore was coal. Since that's what the coal power plant uses, that also explains why people have reported it not being supplied by the Industries ore storages. I wonder if the power plant only accepts that or if it accepts the other processed ore like generic industry does. Anyways since it is what would supply any coal power plant, I'll likely do a version of this for it when I have some extra time.
CreatorOfWorlds 27 iul. 2019 la 9:09
I need to correct you on that. Coal as a matter of fact does exist as a resource. When ore specialized industry gets ore they convert it to coal which can then be used in generic industry for goods, fuel the coal plant, be stored in warehouse or exported. Coal is the system name for what is also known as the "ore specialised zoned industry" ressource.
If you look into the asset editor for a warehouse you will see coal as an option for what it can store. This checked after writing the former post below.

@CreatorOfWorlds: If you read the description you'll see that it is exactly what this is. ;) If you mean specifically coal and not ore, then that isn't possible as coal simply doesn't exist in game. The game simply isn't that specific.
CreatorOfWorlds 27 iul. 2019 la 5:41
Would it be possible for you to make an actual coal storage (specialized ore industry storage)?

They looked so good when I plopped them I had to set about upgrading the look of the rest of my Ore Industry XD
Avanya  [autor] 15 nov. 2018 la 9:19
@Quboid: I noticed that for my 4x4 oil tank. :P I'm planning to avoid very small ones, partly because traffic becomes a mess (gotta keep unmodded play in mind too) and the stats start getting weird. That's why my smaller growable tanks haven't been turned to storage. I think staying above growable size makes the most sense for the new buildings, but that's just my oppinion. :P
Quboid 15 nov. 2018 la 9:04
Modular would be great, so as small as possible. I think 1x2 is too small because it will create trucks for each one. Two of your large container stacks side-by-side are 3x5, that's pretty good.

Industries Rebalanced presently gives each warehouse at least 4 trucks, but I could reduce that if very small warehouses are to be a thing.
Avanya  [autor] 15 nov. 2018 la 8:57
@leaderofthemonkeys: Oooh, that's very small. I'll probably do minimum 4 wide as small warehouses make traffic worse. And there's always the props to fill in the small areas where they wouldn't fit.
leaderofthemonkeys 15 nov. 2018 la 8:50
modular would be good, so relatively small, maybe like 1x2 or 4(or even wider)x2
Avanya  [autor] 15 nov. 2018 la 8:25
@Quboid: Totally possible and something I plan to do. Just gotta decide on some sizes. How small/large were you thinking? In terms of tiles I mean. :)
Quboid 15 nov. 2018 la 8:21
Sorry, that's what I mean, a container yard that works like a warehouse.
Avanya  [autor] 15 nov. 2018 la 8:19
@Quboid: Inside a warehouse wouldn't really be seen, but around it like the default ones do is possible or just container areas that work like warehouses (last thing is on my to-do list :P) and become more full as they receive resources/goods.
Quboid 15 nov. 2018 la 8:17
Very nice, I love the variable levels. Would this work with containers in a warehouse?
