These buildings look amazing. A true futuristic utopian theme going on here. Keep making these assets, especially with the LED lights, it's so nice! Reminds me of TRON, Bladerunner, etc...

By reloading I mean restarting the game, and yes, the probelm still persists even if I deactivate additive shader

Hm, you can check if the problem persists when you deactivate the Additive Shader mod and place the building. And what did you mean by "but once I placed this asset down and reload the game"? Did you place it, save and reload from within the game or did you closed the game and started it again? Because reloading from inside the game can cause numerous problems when using mods.

What I mean is that i made sure that the folders were indeed deleted

erm Teldaril, unsubcribing + resubcriding didn't seem to work, wiredly though I didn;t have problem with other assets that used additive shader

Hello JYCSEE. Such strange behavior happend when the hologram props were submeshes because of a setting in the assets changed by the Additive Shader mod. This was one of the reasons why Ronyx69 decided to stop further support for submeshes with his Additive Shader mod. (Nevertheless the mod still supports the buggy submesh usage) But this setting is not necessary for props. That is why i changed all holograms to props. Perhaps you use an older version of this asset with the holograms still being submeshes? You could try to unsub from this asset and the Additive Shader mod (not just deactivate in content manager) to delete all files and resub again.

Hey Teldaril I don't know if it's with the number of tris in this asset or any other reasons, but once I placed this asset down and reload the game, all my other buildings just began to flash and kinda disappear

I have more ideas than i can realize and with every asset i learn more things i want to incorporate. But unfortunately i don't have that much time. Currently i have a base skeleton model of my next idea but it will take some time.

Thank you! I try to keep them in the range of vanilla buildings and set the values based of number of tiles rather than building height.

another great building asset from you... the only complaint i have so far is that your rico office versions have quite a low amount of workers for a tall building... i have to change the amount of workers in the rico settings to make it realistic amount

We managed to find out that a parameter necessary to render additive shader buildings, sub buildings and sub meshes at greater distances leads to unexpected and unpredictable behaviour. The mod is already updated and everything continues to work fine except for lod distances. I will change all additive shader parts to props as soon as i am able to.

People have been complaining about buildings which have additive shader sub buildings or sub meshes disappearing completely when zooming out and I figured out what the problem is, I updated the mod with a bad fix, and it's my fault for not figuring this out earlier.

Basically you have 2 choices:

1. Leave it like it is, which means the lod will now be disabled - the main model will always be visible, and everything else will work fine. Not the best for performance though.

2. Update the asset by having an empty/invisible main building, but add the actual main building as a sub building/mesh instead, which will work properly in every way, with a functioning lod.

I'm working on a cyberpunk city, and this building is EXACTLY what I needed. thanks !

The hologram is awesome, I was looking for some in the workshop but there's not many. I'm using this building without it because having a single hologram in the whole town is ... not good for the skyline !

Currently i want to create a smaller project. I already have several ideas for the future. But i guess i can learn a lot if i try to recreate something. I will see.

@peteriscool That is fantastic! I always want to build such a city myself but i just don't find the time. Either play or make an asset. I love that my building is put to good use!

This seems to be a problem with the current version of the Additive Shader. I found that additive shader submeshes disappear at lod distance when you load a game with the building placed. And the whole building disappears at lod distance when you place something besides it while the submesh has this lod thing.

Ways to solve it for now:
1. Reload the game while you are ingame.
2. Move the building a little bit.
3. Rebuild it.
4. As unique building deactivate it via On/Off button (you have to wait until the hologram disappears) and reactivate.

These steps "refresh" the building and this resolves the problem until there is a fix.

So how did you disable them? :) I wanted to update one of my theaters, but got error messages flown my way. Obviously the error messages can be ignored, but people will complain nonetheless.
