What type of railings do you guys use with these?

Great addition, as always! I've got these working with invisible paths, so my cims use the stairs nicely!
It'd be very useful having a decal version of the stairs' texture, so you can extend the area around the stairs. Ideally typical 4m/8m/circle/triangle decals - not sure how difficult that'd be though :)

I love these. Are they poly heavy though (3D-imbecile here) ?

@macluk you might want to check your prop snapping mod settings - if you're sinking the stairs down into the ground you might need 'allow prop to submerge' enabled to make it look the way you want.

Does anyone know what may be causing a problem with these stairs? Using Move It mod to move them around, cannot adjust the height before placing it (but that's common so it's not a problem here) so I plop it first and then copy and before i past it in a desired place, i adjust the height.... as with other props. But this one goes back to its original level few seconds later.

Is it possible that it may be colliding with some mods if it's just this pack of props not willing to be the height I want them to be? ;)

I didn't download Ability to Read as apparently it's not needed for anything in the game.
AmiPolizeiFunk 5 May, 2018 @ 2:47pm
i dont have ability to read will still work?
Mads03 26 Apr, 2018 @ 8:21am
Thanks @Armesto and @Zar im an Arsenal fan too from Denmark looking forward to the game tonight against Atletico Madrid :) COYG
zar 22 Apr, 2018 @ 11:52am
@Armesto I play this game so much and I never even noticed that. Thank you! I think I ought to subscribe to 'Ability to Read' from now on ;)
Armesto  [author] 22 Apr, 2018 @ 10:08am
@zar That's why it's a required item. If you check the mod page, it was updated in August to allow that. Simply enable that option and it will work.
zar 22 Apr, 2018 @ 9:22am
@Armesto Sorry, I did not mean prop it up I meant prop snapping. ah really, so they are able to be submerged with prop snapping enabled? I tried many times but they just shoot up to normal height each time
Armesto  [author] 22 Apr, 2018 @ 8:30am
@soeagergaard @zar they're not designed to be used with prop it up. Each building would need a certain stair height. Since we can submerge them with Prop Snapping, props underground by default are not needed anymore.
zar 22 Apr, 2018 @ 5:33am
@soeagergaard @Armesto when you use prop up it mod the stairs are stuck at the default height which makes them unadaptable to the situation when once would use them
Armesto  [author] 21 Apr, 2018 @ 4:43am
@soeagergaard Why.
Mads03 21 Apr, 2018 @ 1:05am
can you pleace make a version of these that are sunken
Rooster 19 Mar, 2018 @ 5:56am
Brilliant thanks for the swift response :D
Armesto  [author] 19 Mar, 2018 @ 5:53am
@Rooster They are props, so they will work and not be destroyed underwater or anything. Feel free to plop them anywhere.
Rooster 19 Mar, 2018 @ 5:32am
Armesto got loads of your assets.Love them.Question will these stairs go into water? The ones I've been using to date keep showing "flooding signals".I would like to use them in my docks and marina developments.
derek328 13 Mar, 2018 @ 12:07am
@Armesto thank you for the wonderful assets! was wondering - is this a functional staircase?
Masterpiece 6 Mar, 2018 @ 6:53am
@Armesto Thanks for the explanation. Great job anyway. Thanks for your fantastic models!
Armesto  [author] 6 Mar, 2018 @ 6:44am
@Masterpiece Wrong naming, sorry. They will not dissapear again even if updated.
Masterpiece 6 Mar, 2018 @ 2:16am
Do you plan to update them again? Because I had already used them in my city but now they have disappeared and I need to put them in place again
skallben 5 Mar, 2018 @ 11:33am
Will people use tgem?
Lost Gecko 3 Mar, 2018 @ 7:50am
80cm high steps wen
AngryDragon 2 Mar, 2018 @ 11:26am
Yeah, but a lot of peoples are going to be running with the option which allows doing that disabled, including myself.
Armesto  [author] 2 Mar, 2018 @ 11:12am
@AngryDragon My old props (bridges, for example) were underground for that reason, so you can raise them if you want but allow be buried. Since the mod was updated and now sinking props is also allowed, is a lot easier to simply plop them over the ground (less LOD problems, better placement, etc). Before that was the only way to do this, now this works. Never had a prop plopping out after putting it, shouldn't be an issue.

About what "A Redundant Sofa" said... Take a look at theses...

http://sp.zhabite.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=734316534

Notice how Avanya made 2 versions of those. The ones I use are the ones that are sunken into the ground by default. You can just about see the surface and that's it. The reason for that is that a lot of peoples won't be using the full height of those props. Sure, you can sink them into ground, but there's a lot of odd behavior with props you manually sink into the ground while playing. Even if you have the prop snapping mod, they will tend to want to pop back out which can get really annoying. Props which are sunken by default behave a lot better. You can raise them out of the ground fairly easily and they'll usually stay there.
AmiPolizeiFunk 2 Mar, 2018 @ 4:55am
excellent :medkit:
Armesto  [author] 2 Mar, 2018 @ 3:10am
@A Redundant Sofa Sunken? As props, you can sink them already.
kitchen 2 Mar, 2018 @ 12:09am
Could there be a sunken version to make them more flexible?
Armesto  [author] 1 Mar, 2018 @ 3:55pm
@AngryDragon wops. Anyway, They are too bright, tomorrow I will update them with a proper correction.
AngryDragon 1 Mar, 2018 @ 3:51pm
A screenshot of the stairs, please?
