Maybe their code will help you with this issue. : ) I sincerely wish station could be as powerful as possible as the way they should be.

New Ship Classes & More is very very incompatible because of what files it completly overwrites. And they add a nice Battle Station so its okay :p What NSC Overwrites [www.nscmod.com]

Currently working o0n a quick patch for Extra Ship Components and TFW Bunch o Ship parts.
Please request a patch if the mods you use adds new XL Weaponry and I will see about it.
Especially if you are worried about your savegame !
TL:DR = Mod update fixes XL Weaponry.
The only fix I could come up with, was to release a set of 360 degree versions of the standard XL weapons that come with Stellaris
Again you're welcome to use those if you want, although I haven't altered the graphics, as I don't have the know how for that, so I just renamed them to Citadel edition
The downside though is large ships with X Large slots can use them too
Not sure if there's a way to override the arc on the station itself.
The XL Weapons currently are bound by an arc (see this as a viewpoint) of 25 which means they do not shoot in 360 degree around em only in one direction that direction (despite having tested with a full XL only fortress) seems to be the same no matter where the XL weapons are being put. They shoot NW of the fortress only. (to the top left if viewing from above). They do the intended damage at the intended speed bound by the XL weapon itself.
I am currently working on finding a fix for this.

If you take a look at this file - steam\steamapps\common\Stellaris\common\component_templates\00_weapons_extra_large for instance, it lists each x Large weapon with:
firing_arc = 25.0
I have a basic 360 degree xtra large weapons mod you're welcome to integrate into this if you want.

@Stahl, yup ! isn't the update coming out at the same time as the new dlc around 22th feb?
I probly won't be using the update asap when it comes out because im currently in a playthrough. so people like me that are still in a playthrough and don't want to update asap can still enjoy it because ill be keeping the mod up and still improve upon it.
When 2.0 comes out i will wait a bit and test it out enventually. I will see then what has changed and if Military stations will need to be improved or not.
Untill then, this mod is out for all those who will not be updating asap or prefer to stay within 1.9.1 :)
