@Cloot That's actually part of how simple sidearms works. Check the mod options. I assume they do this because dropping is faster than putting it in their inventory.

I once had a friendly pawn become wounded somehow and fall unconcious, so I did the rimworld thing and stripped him and carried off his weapon. Later he recoevered and I was so mad when he got up naked and wandered halfway across the map to my base, then into my storeroom to get his weapon and the rest of his missing gear! I can imagine that would be pretty awkward.. "we were just keeping it safe for you!"

Never have I seen a pawn so determined to get his gear back ha.

Does this collide with Simple Sidearms? My colonists are dropping their weapons when they change to their side arms and picking them back up after they have finished.

You do not need to install it.

Simple Sidearms mod does this and also allows you to equip and switch between melee and ranged weapons .

I have found that, at least for me, saving and then reloading the game fixes the issues for a bit.

This mod also causes issues with prisoners. After a prison break their status is not reset properly and they immediately escape again, over and over, once they're healed enough to walk.

Removing the mod fixes the issue.

Neat idea for a mod, but not usable right now.

This mod is causing a issue
Whenever one of my colonists are downed they still continue walking and fghting but really, really slow. They can be rescued but once theyheal and start walking again they fall over and the same thing happen which makes them completely unusable

i have a bug with enemy (mech and human) after down, he fire on the floor.. or the prisonnier with a mental break keep arms and use them sorry for my bad english

I experienced the same issue other players seem to be describing, in my playthrough I was using the prison labor mod to try to have the biggest prison camp possble and eventually 6 of the prisoners bugged out after a revolt and would just wander around and not eat or work. Before allowing them to starve I tried fixing them using dev commands to kill and resurrect but... killing them didn't work!! Instead they were downed and somehow still capable of wandering around at the same time, just sliding their bodies around the floor, healing them afterwards just returned them to their prior state of wandering while not-eating.

This sort of ruined the experience for that playthrough as I permanently lost those prisoners and collecting prisoners was the main theme behind that playthrough.

The only way to get rid of these immortal zombie pawns is to use "Destroy" with the dev commands. I hope you can fix this issue because it is a deal breaker for me.

The problem seems to be getting worse. My game doesn't seem to recognise 'Prisoners' now, so you cant do anything with them (e.g. recruit/release/execute or anything other than capture them over and over) they just wander around my base and even if I try to kill them, they wont die. It's quite hilarious really, I have to admit, because my colonists just follow them around, shooting at them, and the prisoners just end up as torsos wandering around being shot at :steamfacepalm: But although hilarious, I think I'm gonna have to unsub, because it all began after I added this mod. Sorry mate, because I've been waiting forever for a mod like this one :steamsad: However, if it still keeps happening after I take this mod out of my game, then I'll try undoing other mods, and may resub to this one :steamhappy:

@tammybee Its entirely possible that the problem is not in this mod, just it having a conflict with another, as i have a somewhat extensive list of mods, but the problem stopped when i disabled this one. Thanks for making it though, i love the concept!

I've had the same issues as OpTic_Stoeprand, and it also seems to be affecting Mechs too, whereby they die, but don't die, and my colonist wont stop shooting them, and they won't stop shooting my colonists :steamfacepalm: :steamsad: I may even have to unsub to the mod... BUT I DON'T WANT TO !!!!! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA because I've been waiting for a mod like this forever :steamsad: I've also just seen the comment you made to OpTic... so hopefully I wont have to now WOOP WOOP :steamhappy: (So bring on the next raid so that I can find out !!!)

But I fixed points that will cause a fatal error.

This mod caused a pretty serious (and terrifying) bug with raiders.
When killed, they took a huge amount of damage (or maybe damage was multiplied) , resulting in the loss of every organ or bone or limb possible, and accumulated hundreds of "attacks" per second. They were also still regarded by colonists as alive, and slowly moved on the ground in random directions. This also induced a lot of lag.

Hello tammybee love your mod. Only there I have encoutered a weird bug with the mod. When my colonist killed a raider the tooltip said he was dead and he was laying on the ground, but he was still able to move and even shoot his gun.

Simple sidearms does the same thing, except that it also allows your pawn to carry a main weapon + backup weapons. Totally configurable.

I've seem to come accross a problem where this mod was causing a couple issues(at least it appears to be this one). First I could not stip my prisoners of their clothing and second my prisoner got into a loop of endless breakouts. It stopped once i removed this mod. anyone else have this issue?

Yes! finaly i dont have to worry about finding that master sniper rifle sitting out in the rain @ 67 percent health cause i was too busy rescuing everyone to remember who dropped their gun!
