it's been inactive since 2017 according to the change notes, it still works perfectly fine though if you use a ui mod that lets you scroll down on the species selsction screen
Melon 9 jan, 2021 @ 20:51
this mod dead?
Catnapping Princess 14 dec, 2020 @ 19:55
the scrollbar no longer shows up with the latest update, leading to long loading time and only being able to access 18 of the available portraits
Avder 8 sep, 2020 @ 6:43
So I was going to start my 2nd game today and I was going to roleplay as machine survivors of an extinction that wiped their creator species out, somewhat like the backstory to Nier: Automata except a supernova bathing the planet in gamma rays instead of magic particles from another dimension.

And then I found out you have to use machine authority for any machine race. UGH.

Then I found this. But its out of date!

Please update!

Yes, I myself would also like this.
Raptor-Caliph 3 jun, 2019 @ 11:47
Pls update this mod, it was very helpful
Thomas Roderick 2 mar, 2019 @ 5:02
Could you please upgrade this for 2.2? Thanks!
NullMagic  [skapare] 28 maj, 2018 @ 21:09
It's from before 2.0
The Erubian Warlord 28 maj, 2018 @ 4:06
what version is this for?
Werebat 22 maj, 2018 @ 19:19
Nice, this will help make my Meklar expys look more like they should...
NullMagic  [skapare] 28 mar, 2018 @ 20:44
I never did manage to get that to work right. I've not been working on this due to.. life... but I will try to revisit it in the near future, sorry.
Anthreas 24 mar, 2018 @ 22:36
Am I correct that leaders are not immortal? In the leaders section hovering age shows the life expectancy of the synths.
NullMagic  [skapare] 3 jan, 2018 @ 12:28
I'm not sure that's possible, honestly, I'm still trying to figure out armies. However, I'll look into it and see what I can figure out.
CrazyJoeV4 3 jan, 2018 @ 6:32
Great mod man, but is there a way you could allow the player to edit machine pops living standards? At the moment it says I can't because my pops are not organic
Lady Crimson (RIP) 19 dec, 2017 @ 17:33
10/10 on agree, I'm sure they did it out of balance with humanoids.. simpler that way.. but still they should adjust it.
Zurvaan 19 dec, 2017 @ 14:48
Thanks for working on this, it's something I've been after for a while.

https://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=933075365 is supposed to do what you're doing but you can't create race templates for your founder race, probably among other version problems. Maybe borrowing a few command lines from that would be helpful to your bug fixing.
Sathariel 19 dec, 2017 @ 14:33
A commendable pursuit, my friend! Keep up the good work!
NullMagic  [skapare] 19 dec, 2017 @ 11:53
I'm beginning to think that I should just overwrite a couple of core files with minor modifications, it seems like it'd be quicker, easier, and work better...
NullMagic  [skapare] 19 dec, 2017 @ 11:13
Hmmmm alright, I'll take a look at it, thanks for the heads up.
Kreiger 19 dec, 2017 @ 10:56
You cant build armies. It tells me that i have no species i can recruit, also pops still grow, but i do have the ability to build them aswell.
NullMagic  [skapare] 16 dec, 2017 @ 11:01
Thanks for the head's up, I forgot about that little detail, I'll have to go add empire name options for it.
Permanganate 16 dec, 2017 @ 10:46
Unfortunately, AI Empires that use the new species added by this mod will fail to generate their names properly. The empires' main species will have no name, and instead of "Blah Empire", you get just " Empire", "Irenic Mandate", etc.
NullMagic  [skapare] 16 dec, 2017 @ 10:12
HA! I did consider something like that. In all honesty it's not a super big issue, it just annoys me. You can still personally initiate the creation of a new unit (via the build pop menu) and you can even create a new robomoded template and initiate that instead. However if you do robomod your population you need to be prepared to build all your pop at once, otherwise both types will be trying to grow on their own.

The above said you can tell a pop to disassemble mid growth and it will just disappear, until next month when it initiates again.
samsockeater 16 dec, 2017 @ 2:58
... i need to rmember to proof read these things to find spelling errors -sigh-
samsockeater 16 dec, 2017 @ 2:57
if you cant fix it make it into a feature, say thy figured out how to follow the instruction manually on te flat pack boxes baby synths come in(?) or some such
NullMagic  [skapare] 15 dec, 2017 @ 19:13
ugh, nope, still growing on their own, I could have swore I'd fixed that....
NullMagic  [skapare] 15 dec, 2017 @ 17:41
Alright! I think I've finally worked out all the kinks, I give you: Simply Synths.
Tyrranus 14 dec, 2017 @ 0:59
Thank all the gods... the fact that I have no choice but to play robo-hive minds has been my biggest bitch about this dlc.
Like maybe I want to base an empire off Autobots/Decepticons, or any of a number of scifi universes.
Thanks for making this!!!!!!
NullMagic  [skapare] 12 dec, 2017 @ 22:30
So, good news is slow, but steady, in this case. The current good news is that I have now figured out how to make them eat energy instead (yay). I still can't figure out how to make them not reproduce on their own (though I have managed to figure out how to make them not reproduce at all, even when you initiate it, so.. progress?). I have some ideas for how to fix the remaining problems, but most of them involve fiddling with Core files which I was really trying to avoid, so, we'll see, currently I have no more time tonight, so I'll upload what I have and take another look tomorrow night.
Trace Projectile 12 dec, 2017 @ 6:50
Pretty neat idea to basically unlock the forced government away from the portraits.
NullMagic  [skapare] 12 dec, 2017 @ 5:01
Just a heads up, I am aware there are teething issues (and have fixed a few already, such as the trait description and making your species a buildable pop), I will work on having a fix sometime tomorrow for the majority of them, I just first have to figure out how to make them stop growing like an organic population, and figure out how to get them to stop eating.
