@BlueFenix

You should probably use the Alternative Mod Launcher and see if it works there.
BlueFénix 1.6. klo 12.58
This no longer works with the new mod launcher.

If you find it in the mod folder and add

RequiresXPACK=true to the xcommod.file wit will.

Mods are in SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\268500

@Bofrab
If it's a mission where you evac, you don't get corpses.
Bofrab 20.5. klo 23.47
I don't know if this is the mod or the game itself, but whenever I kill a Gatekeeper it's not counting the corpse as loot so I can't get this upgrade.
hottt3 20.3. klo 7.45
So I don't need it for LWotC, right? Thanks!
mayrenise123 16.12.2024 klo 0.00
Mace - I happy to tell you that if you have Lwotc, then you dont need this mod at all because it already have its own version. skibidi dop dop!
Kinsect 25.10.2024 klo 22.26
Pretty much a Grenade launcher version of the Blaster Launcher!
(except for the one in the Bureau)
Epic Dovahkiin 8.10.2024 klo 9.18
cool now i just need to figure out how to make the powered wrist mounted grenade launcher function like this one
Big_Bluntz 2.9.2024 klo 19.18
does this work with LWOTC?
Phoenix 19.5.2024 klo 20.32
I got the Configure Tile Snap mod and uncommented ;+ChangeTileSnap = (TargetingMethod = "X2TargetingMethod_ConditionalBlasterLauncher", TileSnapEnabled = true) and set it to false inXComZelfConfigureTileSnap and so far it renabled all the tile snapping for the grenade launchers.
Phoenix 19.5.2024 klo 2.54
Is this not compatible with Suppressible Targeting Abilities? It seems to turn back on the tile snapping for grenade launchers.

@Dragon32

No problem, thanks for trying anyway.
Dragon32 23.1.2024 klo 10.33
@「ai q sonim」
I'm afraid I don't know then, all I can think is you have another mod that changes this one but I don't recall hearing of one that did.
「ai q sonim」 22.1.2024 klo 18.01
@Dragon32

I don't have either of these mods installed, and I also regenerated my config files as you've instructed, but it didn't fix the problem. I don't have any mods that mess with the grenadier besides this one, so I have no clue about what might be causing this.
Dragon32 16.1.2024 klo 10.10
@「ai q sonim」
If regenerating your user config files doesn't fix it I'd guess you've got another mod affecting this one. Maybe Mod Jam and LWotC?

I can purchase the upgrade from the engineering all right, but the launcher doesn't actually have the Blaster Launcher targeting system, at least for me. I checked the XComGameData.ini and it seems to be right: bUseBlasterLauncherTargeting=true

Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
Savar Belmont 6.1.2023 klo 8.21
@Dragon32 this bell end has been doing this in several mods. Honestly the poor soul needs attention so badly they've gone the negative route. I say we offer a cookie and send them to their room.
Dragon32 6.1.2023 klo 5.43
@BottomScorer
Please stop dude, FFS
BottomScorer 6.1.2023 klo 5.41
One Steam tag should be sufficient!

War of the Chosen

NOT war of the chosen!
NOT WotC!
ScriptGenius12 18.8.2022 klo 3.52
can this be installed mid-campaign?
Captain Chauster 5.5.2022 klo 17.50
Is it possible to edit the grenade pathfinding so it uses the regular arc instead of the blaster launcher path? It makes it hard to tell if the blaster launcher targeting toggle is actually working for me or not.

Side note: Is toggle supposed to look like this?

bUseBlasterLauncherTargeting=true

*changes to

bUseBlasterLauncherTargeting=false
ben.thomason1 12.4.2022 klo 20.13
Note: this mod is reundant with LWotc, which does the exact same thing. if you have LWotC, you o not need this mod.
DutchCannonFodder 2.4.2022 klo 9.50
Where in the file do I add the "RequiresXPACK=true" line?
Yanzihko 3.2.2022 klo 15.33
Why it isn't in the base game, phenomenal work.
Eye of Arrow 20.1.2022 klo 3.03
Yes. it works. Thanks for it ! It requires Blaster Launcher which is one of Experimental Powered Weapon fabricated in Proving Ground to be crafted
s970094 8.10.2021 klo 1.34
Is this mod working for anybody?
KomechiSatori 12.9.2021 klo 9.10
Does this work with grimy's loot? since i only get adv grenade launcher through decrypting lockbox
Savar Belmont 2.4.2021 klo 12.59
@alfa just use the alternate mod launcher... it's a godsend. I don't know why firaxis messed with the mod launcher but it was a bad play. if using ALM you don't have these problems.
Alfa Omega 30.3.2021 klo 23.35
Hello . If I want to modify the BeamGrenadeLauncher.XComMod file to add this : RequiresXPACK=true How to add . More precisely : to the Upper , or to the under lines have to add this ?
Dragon32 26.3.2021 klo 7.13
@Paarthurnax205
See the FAQ
Nax205 26.3.2021 klo 6.41
where's the version to WOTC? because it ain't working for me
Inardesco 18.3.2021 klo 11.27
I have all heavy weapon projects finished in the proving grounds but no plasma launcher available?

Can I add it in through a console command?
4rrakis 27.2.2021 klo 5.48
Good luck commander!
EagleClaws17 27.2.2021 klo 5.40
guess thats what ill start my next Ironman run with LUL
4rrakis 27.2.2021 klo 5.06
Yeah, the beta is pretty outdated as far as I know.
EagleClaws17 27.2.2021 klo 4.51
ah, I was playing the Beta version, that explaines that
4rrakis 27.2.2021 klo 4.31
I use the dev build, no idea about the other one.
EagleClaws17 27.2.2021 klo 4.21
Would you mind showing me a link to it? Because ive never gotten a Beam Grenade launcher, neither did I found anything about it in the configs. It might be outdated tho, and im quite new to using AML, so Im not sure wether its up to date
4rrakis 27.2.2021 klo 4.12
You're welcome!
EagleClaws17 27.2.2021 klo 4.10
thanks
4rrakis 27.2.2021 klo 3.43
@EagleClaws17 LWOTC has its own version of a beam grenade launcher, just unsubscribe here.
EagleClaws17 27.2.2021 klo 3.32
Something ive also encountered is, that playing with Long War of the Chosen you get the Long War Schematic, but also the Grenadier general Upgrade which adds the Grenade Launcher to all Grenadiers just like Vanilla, is there an Option to disable the generic squad upgrade?
InternetExploder  [tekijä] 19.9.2020 klo 4.09
Thanks everybody for pointing out the issues with the game's new launcher.
As noted, you can work around the problem by either editing the mod config to make it WotC-compatible or by using the Alternative Mod Launcher [github.com].
I have updated the FAQ section with that info.
mackrealiv 18.9.2020 klo 15.33
Does anyone know the console command to add it so I can test whether it is broken or I just have such bad luck I cannot get it to unlock?
(=VeerS=) 19.8.2020 klo 13.52
The RNG hates me, I never get the Blaster Launcher unless I cheat for it. When I get to use it, I love it, 1 hand I feel like hiding this behind the RNG keeps the balance of the game, the other I feel it's frustrating that I have to keep telling Shen to just give me the damn Blaster Launcher. My god woman, am I not supposed to build anything else at all?!!
Pokemastuh 14.8.2020 klo 11.33
@Manbeast, I get not wanting to download an extra launcher just to get something working but 2k updated the launcher with no thought to how it would affect mods. The AML is made specifically to make launching, enabling/disabling, and more as functional as possible. It even allows you to do a few things like skipping intro videos and refreshing certain files that occasionally get bloated slowing down your game. It's worth the 10 minutes to download and figure out how to install.
Lûte the Goblin 14.8.2020 klo 10.47
I cannot find a workshop folder in the steamapps folder as suggested in the mod description.
I'm just trying to get this to work without having to use some sort of alternate downloader...
Lûte the Goblin 14.8.2020 klo 10.26
Thank you, chantzofdeth, I'll try that.
chantzofdeth 10.8.2020 klo 0.00
If anyone is having issues To make this mod work with WOTC simply add the following code line to the xcom2 mod file which is located in the same folder as the Src file

RequiresXPACK=true

Here is an example of it within Grimys loot mod which I also had to adjust to make it work

[mod]
publishedFileId=1142377029
Title=GrimyLootModWOTC
Description=This is a port of Grimy's Loot Mod for WOTC.
RequiresXPACK=true
