B42: Ammo parts like casings, projectiles, shotgun hulls and shots can now be found as regular loot:

  • Ammo parts item distribution:
    • 31 different spawn locations
    • Sandbox options to adjust the spawn chances for every individual location
    • 10 different loot categories (e.g. 'old pistol casings' or 'rifle ammo parts', etc.)
  • Optimisations and Bugfixes:
    • Make reloading press component recipes (forge) now consume fluid containers if used as metal resource
    • Additional items to be used for the 'Recycle Plastic' recipe:
      • Base.FountainCup; Base.CuttingBoardPlastic

B42: The Bird Feeder is back...and more:

  • Bird Feeder and Bird Products:
    • Bird feeder to turn seeds into bird excrement and feathers as known from B41
    • Bird feeder now accepts all items with the 'isSeed' tag instead of using an individual seed definition
    • Bird feeder build option in the B42 build menu 'Ammo Maker' category
    • Bird feathers are back and are now using the 'Feather' tag (to be compatible with all base game or modded recipes that use feathers)
    • Bird feathers can also be found in foraging mode again using the 'Bird Products' search focus
    • Additional sandbox options:
      • Bird Excrement Yield (bird excrement per seed (bird feeder))
      • Bird Feather Spawn Min (minimum spawn amount per pile (foraging))
      • Bird Feather Spawn Max (maximum spawn amount per pile (foraging))
  • Optimisations and Bugfixes:
    • More reliable and efficient dropped casings clean-up function
    • Make bullets and make casings recipes now consume fluid containers if used as metal resource
    • Additional items to be used for the 'Recycle Plastic' recipe:

B42: Hotfix:

  • Shotguns now drop hulls reliably and do no longer cause occasional errors when fired
  • Make Polishing Compound recipe now consumes the Tin Can

B42: Among other things this update includes old casings that can be reconditioned with polishing compound:

  • New 'old' variants of all casing types:
    • When foraging (search mode) only old casings can be found now
    • When firing guns there is a small chance to drop old casings
  • New 'Polishing Compound' drainable item:
    • Made in a tin can with toothpaste or clay, sand and water
    • Can be used while placed in the world
  • New 'Polish Casing' recipe to recondition old casings:
    • Requires polishing compound applied with a toothbrush, grill brush or steel wool
  • Molds to cast bullets can now be placed in the world permanently e.g. in front of furnaces:
    • The mold type gets exchanged in-place in the world during the 'Make Mold Bullets' and 'Make Bullets' recipes
    • Recipes need to be executed from the crafting/furnace menus
  • Already prepared bullet molds can now be reworked again with the 'Make Mold Bullets' recipe
  • Additional items to be used for the 'Recycle Plastic' recipe:
    • B41: Base.Glasses_SafetyGoggles; Base.RedPen; Base.BluePen; Base.Pen; Base.GamePieceBlack; Base.GamePieceRed; Base.GamePieceWhite; Base.Comb

  • Ammo part related recipes (make, recycle, repair) are also deactivated now if not used by active gun mods

    • Bird feeder no longer requires extra space in the inventory next to the seeds to spawn bird excrement
    • Bird feeder now also works with expanded inventory for survivors with the organised trait

B42: Big content update introducing the Ammo Maker Reloading Press for bulk ammo crafting:

  • Reloading Press:
    • Available in 15 different colors
    • 'Make Reloading Press' recipe for the initial assembly
    • 'Repaint Reloading Press' recipe to repaint reloading press in a different color after assembly
    • Components forgeable with simple forge and blacksmithing level 5 ('Ammo Maker Tools' category):
      • 'Reloading Press Base'
      • 'Reloading Press Die Plate'
      • 'Reloading Press Die Set'
      • 'Reloading Press Linkage'
      • 'Reloading Press Handle'
    • Additional 'Produce Ammo' recipes for bulk crafting of all calibres (except 40mm grenades)
    • Sandbox option to define the bulk size for 'Produce Ammo' recipes:
      • 'Produce Ammo Bulk Size' range: 10-100pcs, standard: 10pcs
    • Ingredients amounts and crafting times of the 'Produce Ammo' recipes scale dependent on the 'Produce Ammo Bulk Size' sandbox option
    • 'Produce Ammo' recipes use the 'Can Be Done From Floor' tag on the 'Reloading Press' to allow permanent placement
  • Visual Updates:
    • Updated world item textures and/or models for: 'Brass Catcher Improvised', 'Brass Catcher Advanced', 'Mold', 'Mold Bullets' and 'Pot Of Bird Excrement'
    • New item icons for: 'Brass Catcher Improvised', 'Brass Catcher Advanced', 'Gun Powder Scale', 'Mold', 'Mold Bullets' and 'Pot Of Bird Excrement'
    • Updated item icons resolution to 64x64 pixel for most icons
  • Bugfixes and Tweaks:
    • Global fix for weapons defined as firearms that do not drop casings (e.g. bows and crossbows)
    • 'Weigh Gunpowder Grains' and 'Weigh Gunpowder Unit' recipes now use the 'Can Be Done From Floor' tag on the 'Gunpowder Scale' to allow permanent placement
    • Updates on tooltips

B42: Tooltips, tweaks and optimisations:

  • Tooltips for all items with hints regarding usage and crafting
  • Tooltips for all core, forge, furnace and recycle recipes
  • Tooltips for all make ammo recipes with alternative ammo designations and year of invention
  • Brass catcher now also work if in any player sub inventory (e.g. bags, backpacks, etc.)
  • Dropping of extra items when firing guns (e.g. belt links) is now dependent on gun mod active (e.g. fixes Rain's Firearms M60 and M249 that don't use belt links)
