DARKSPACE v2.74
Here comes the big GalacticPlague-origin / Xenomorphs rework!
Also, many other changes were made to the mod.

This is the last big update before the rework of the "Synthetic Gods" origin arrives, approximately with DS v2.8

REWORK: GALACTIC PLAGUE (ORIGIN):
Capitalsystem:
- Capital got a new visual design - "Biomechanical Hiveworld".
- Sets graphical culture now to Biological (DS shipset), if not already selected.

Espionage:
- Improved all tooltips/texts.
- Still uses missions to infect empires - but event feedback improved.
- Power/potency depends on selected virus abilities.
- Can now infect machine empires with a new virus strain.
- Other empires will now react different to your espionage attacks (example migration pacts can spread the infection further). More events will be added later after further testing.

Infection Counters:
- Changed its mechanic & it gets now added for every country that got once infected.

Virus Traits & Morphed Pops:
- Removed the edicts & removed depedency on traits - all existing traits are now available when selecting the origin (similar to the "Overtuned"-origin selection).
- Added a planetary decision with a custom interface window to change the virus strains.
- Hivemoons spawn now where the decision to create one is used (planet).
- Changed bonuses of all traits & the base trait has now a higher food upkeep.

Virus Modification:
- Can use different strains to attack an empire via espionage.
- Each strain/combination has its own results & chances to hit/infect.
- Can later use 5 strains (late game).
- Currently there are 15 strains you can pick from, a few more will be added later.

Galactic Community:
- If a Xenomorph/Galactic Plague empire exists, there will be a new resolution available to heal infected pops for all members of the Community!

Hivemoons:
- Spawn now with a new section layout - more ranged (swarm weapons).
- Spawn now at the planet where the new decision is used. Can be any owned colony.
- Added a smaller version called "Hive-Kraken" that costs only 25 Morphed pops (value might change).


SUPERWEAPON IMPROVEMENTS:
- Improved the ingame tutorial how to attack with them.
- Do now only destroy hostile units/planets. To have ANY effect in the target system, war must be declared first.
- Rewrote the entire mechanic behind them.
- All empires in the galaxy will now receive a notification that you finished the weapon (useful for multiplayer).
- Can not be placed into a pulsar system to avoid being in the same spot of a Quantum Catapult.


NOMAD ORIGIN:
- Origin bonus grants now -1 influence income.
- Changed how pop growth scales.
=> its not (monthly growth)/(100) anymore, its now (monthly growth)/(population scale).
=> This means the higher your population, the longer it takes to grow Manpower pops & the more important techs, traditions etc become.
- Diplomats start now with extra Manpower, because they have (at gamestart) less base income than Savages (Stellaris-country mechanics).
- Fixed a wrong tech requirement for the 3rd Colony-Module in the Nomad-Administration.
- Fixed a resource income for the Savages setup at gamestart.
- Fixed some code of the Nomad menu, it should now never again not be able again if another event closes the window without the players approval.


OTHER ORIGINS & CIVICS:
- Origin Phoenix Empire - Starts now with less pops & decreased homeworld size.
Also reduced the cost of blockers that reduce the amount of normal worker jobs for a smoother early game.
- Origin Halo - Reduced the homeworld size & removed the Halo-Fabricator deposit.
- Origin Arcane - Reduced the the default planet size of Arcane ringworlds, removed the energy deposit.
- Origin Utopia - Reduced the the default planet size & adjusted planet modifiers.
- Origin Ark of Constructors - Added the "Malfunctioning Replicator Bay" deposit & improved some localisation texts about the new district after reaching planet size 40.
- Origin Gray Tempest - Species trait has now higher pop upkeep. Removed the ability to use "Onyx-Programming" at gamestart.
- Origin Hyperflora - Planetary decision to gain more alloy & tech jobs has now a small tech requirement.
("Xenobiology", tier2, society research)
- Civic Vero - Reduced leader span from 100 to 50 due vast leader changes in Stellaris 3.8.

DARKSPACE v2.74 MISC CHANGES:
- Added country_flag "ds_anti_healthcare" + ds_pro_healthcare to the resolution "Universal Healthcare".
=> AI weight if a country like this resolution or not - to heal pops infected by the GalacticPlague origin, for all GalCom members! (so DS+other mods can check for it)
- Xeelee Brain megastructure - Produces now more tech if Gigastructures is installed. Its only this megastructure for now to see how well it works for mixed games.
- Fixed DS settings at gamestart - Megastructure perks are now for players not disabled anymore if the setting "Disable content for AI" is active.

IMPORTANT!
- Disabled the "Intergalactic Isolationists" origin (1+2), because I would like to do some few mechanical changes so it can be used multiple times in MP without needing it 2x in the empire creation.
- Disabled the "Synthetic Gods" origin until its rework arrives. It is the mod's oldest origin and pretty outdated.

DARKSPACE V2.8 & FURTHER PREVIEW:
Synthetic Gods (Origin)
I removed it from the empire creation, but it still works in savegames. The rework will take a while, because I will overhaul all related mechanics, events, ships, texts & more. With the rework the "Spectrals" civic will also receive its unique power that I always wanted it to have.

Spectrals Crisis (AI)
After the rework I will continue with the development of an entirely new kind of endgame crisis. My first (private) tests seemed promising. It will include the entire story of DarkSpace, several events, different endings, mechanics & more.

My aim is to make them truly terrifying - by their power & how they attack the entire galaxy with their tactics. This will be a ton of work, so do not expect it that soon :)

Just a hotifx after a user reported a problem with diplomatic actions.
Reason: A small amount of code for Nomads was outdated, causing "Improve Relations" not appearing correctly for primitives/certain empires.

Xeelee mechanics & fixes

NEW ASCENSION PERK: "XEELEE-ENGINEERS"
Unlocks two new megastructures!

Habitable Megastructure "Xeelee-Holosphere"
- Must be built around a black hole.
- Requires large amounts of dark matter to upgrade/unlock further districts & bonuses.
- Has new districts & insane capacity.
- Has a the decision "Intergalactic Links", it opens a custom interface.
- Unlocking "Links" increases the amount of districts & jobs.
- Spawns with the origin & ascension perk with special deposits & jobs related to the structure.
- Is able to produce some resources without pops, but must be unlocked before.
- Amount of produced resources depends on the level of the Holosphere ("Links").
- The player can select which resource he wants to be produced.

Megastructure "Xeelee-Brain"
- Must be built around a black hole.
- Produces physics & engineering research points (no society!).
- Produces for each category 2 points for each researched technology of your empire.
- Energy upkeep increases with amount of researched technologies.
Example: Research 100 technologies and it produces 200 physics + engineering points. It scales also with other mods!


NEW ORIGIN: "XEELEE"
- Starts on a Xeelee-Holosphere.
- Has NO guaranteed habitable planets near the home system.
- Homeworld has many special blockers.
- Can research the technology for the "Xeelee-Brain" without the new ascension perk.


DARKSPACE v2.72 MISC CHANGES:
- Added a council position for every DS civic that is not for Gestalt empires.
- Added flag colony_event to starting planets to avoid subterranean primitives.
- Added is_ds_holosphere to ds_triggers_mod.txt (useful for other mods).

New Megastructure: "Interstellar Acropolis"
- Technology can be gained via unlocking the existing "Age of Empires" ascension perk.
- The structure increases leader cap & experience.


CHANGED LOCALISATION (relevant for translation mods):
- Added localisation part "XEELEE-ENGINEERS" in the main loc (end of the file)
- Added localisation part "DARKSPACE COUNCILORS" in the main loc (end of the file)

Stellaris 3.8.3 Update & Improvements

NEW PORTRAITS:
I Added many Paragon leaders as portaits - IF you own the DLC "Galactic Paragons".
= Some leaders appear as female / male of another Paragon portrait, if they look similar.
= Some of them have a few different color styles/clothes.


DARKSPACE v2.71 BALANCE CHANGES:
- Origin Nomads - Thanks to a change in Stellaris 3.8.3, Nomad pops now increase your empire size. Current modifier is 1 for each Manpower "pop".
- Origin Vi - Start with 3 fewer pops. Research habitat size from 5 -> 3.
- Origin Zroni - Adjusted stats of Shroudwalker jobs.
- Origin Hyperflora - Can now terraform Hiveworlds into Hyperflora worlds (like Gaia planets).
- Civic Certus - Increased pop food upkeep from 5% -> 10%.

Origin Zroni:
- Fixed the Psionic Corruption limit of 250 not causing any bad events (bug appeared with Stellaris 3.8, thanks to Ep3o for reporting it).
- Changed upkeep & bonus of Shroudwalkers.
- Improved tooltips - Planetary decision now tells you it increases the capital modifier.
- Added a missing event description - "Shroud Breach"
- Added a tooltip when the battleship tech is missing ("Hero Project" edict).
- Added a notification in the last event that the event chain is over.


DARKSPACE v2.71 BUG FIXES:
- Some localisation fixes & improvements.
- Locked some portraits to DLCs (thanks to Wymorlon for the hint).
- Added the civic "Vero" back to the origin because it caused unintentional interactions with other game mechanics/modded origins.
- Fixed certain ship sizes causing an infinite "split fleet" loop when being over the players command limit.
- Fixed "Psionic Corruption" of the Zroni origin not causing any bad events.

Stellaris 3.8 Update & Improvements

NEW:
- "Allmacht" Megastructure - After building the first 2 stages & finishing the special project, you can decide if it increases your physics OR enginnering research speed/production ("Emperor's Will" perk).


DARKSPACE v2.7 BALANCE CHANGES:
Ship Types
- Shipclass Voidangel - Adjusted weapon stats again. If a Voidangel dies in COMBAT, the pop returns to the capital (Zroni origin only, not for the perk!). Gained the cloaking ability (if DLC is installed).

Ascension Perks
- Onyx Matrix - Added Borg habitats (was previously an origin).
- Replicators - Changed stats & cost/upkeep of Replica ship. Upkeep is now even higher when playing the "Gray Tempest" origin. Added new ship sections.

Civics
- Vero - Does not require the origin anymore, but the origin still needs the civic to be playable.
- Spectrals - Blocked RS, DE, DA civics.
- Certast - Blocked RS civic.
- Certast - Have now a building that organics get jobs from to work for them (similar to RS).
- Certus/Certast - Adjusted overall stats of the Willpower shipclass. Now limited to 10 ships. Has now a default design & a new bow+stern section.
- Certus/Certast - Changed costs of Irdir shields.

Origins (Nomads)
- Added info event about Nomad Gateways at gamestart (20d delay).
- Added a unity debuff to the resource deficit + information event for the first time after 90days.
- Added a new button into the UI about policies, edicts & other information.
- Increased cost of the Recruitment decision, Nomad-Housing & Specialist-Slots.
- Fixed the deficit modifier not appearing for "Savages" when a food or consumer goods deficit happens.
- Fixed Savages not being able to invade primitive worlds - now they can finish the conquest!

Origins (Others)
- Certast-Cluster - Changed the technology requirement to repair the portal to leave the cluster.

- Gray Tempest - The "HQ-Core" ship is now limited to 10 ships. Increases from 1 to 10 with more available naval cap.
- Gray Tempest - Changed section templates of Jaeger & HQ-Core ships, added new ones & adjusted also some stats.
- Gray Tempest - Nanite worlds got a new district - "AwarenessCompiler" Replaces the research district "Arithmetic-Unit" if you use a decision (can be switched back at any time with the decision).

- Zroni - If a Voidangel dies in COMBAT, the pop returns to the capital.
- Zroni - "Sacrificing" a pop for the "Still Alive" modifier on the capital increases the resources now by 2% instead of 1.


DARKSPACE v2.7 MISC CHANGES:
- Added a basic Cloaking components for all custom ships of DarkSpace, because Vanilla ones dont work on them somehow (only for DLC users!).
- Added more information about the Certus megastructure "Innovator".
- Superweapons (Halo, Darkmatter Ripper) can NOT destroy Contigency planets anymore to avoid bugs with the crisis.
- Changed Kompass Citadel (Galactic Core) - Now size 50.
- Renamed weapon component ENERGY_LANCE_4 to DS_ENERGY_LANCE_4 for mod compatibility. Some save ships might have a missing weapon now - refit them.
- Renamed weapon component PLANET_KILLER_NANO to PLANET_KILLER_DS_NANO for mod compatibility. Some save ships might have a missing weapon now - refit them.

This version adds MANY balance changes, fixes and a new origin - the Zroni!


NEW ORIGIN: ZRONI
- Inspired from the ancient precursor race Zroni of Stellaris.
- Starts on a "Shrouded Relic World" world (thus can not become an Ecu).
- Has 8 fewer Pops at gamestart.
- Has special blockers & deposits (some also for Pops - "Ancient Cryo Chambers").
- Has old systems around the homesystem, has only one garanteed habitable planet (Shrouded Relic World).
- Starts with a small story event chain at gamestart to unlock abilities.
- The story events will sometimes show dangerous situations in your population, thus making the early to midgame not that easy but the mid to endgame even more rewarding.
- Can use the "Psionic Corruption" system. - Using different Zroni abilities increases this value. Do NOT abuse the power of the Shroud too much, or your empire will regret it.

This origin is in some parts still WORK IN PROGRESS. I want to add more abilities for this unqiue empire with the arrival of Stellaris 3.8. Please send me mechanic/balance feedback until then.

DARKSPACE v2.6 MISC CHANGES:
- Added scripted_triggers for other mods to check DS planet types. File name is ds_triggers_mods.txt
- Fixed Gray Tempest origin missing their "Neutron Bombardment" -stance.
- Fixed missing (2) guaranteed habitable worlds for some DS origins.
- Fixed the UI when playing with Nomads & mods like UI Overhaul Dynamic.


BALANCE CHANGES - ORIGINS
- Nomads - Removed +1 research alternative (origin bonus) & reduced extra fleetcap to +50.
- Nomads - Repeatable technologies that add monthly resources now only appear after receiving the common resource building techs.
- Nomads - Pop debuff now also includes organic pop assembly.
- Nomads - Ark ship slots (still max of 5) are now unlocked with naval cap, similar to titans.
- Nomads - Reduced HP of all Nomad ships.
- Nomads - Voidborn tradition requires now 6 other previous traditions (can be any combination).
- Nomads - Blocked Arcane Ascension Perk.

- Arcane & Utopia - Have now new deposits to reduce pop growth in the early game (only on extra planets/ringworld segments). Reduced the cost for colony ships.
- Solarflare - Adjusted starting deposits. The nearby Gaia world (former capital) has now planetary devastation (100%).
- Phoenix Empire - Changed planet size of the capital to 25. Reduced all modifier/blocker numbers. (still a good one-planet empire).
- Gray Tempest - Decreased upkeep of GrayTempest buildings.
- Hyperflora - Removed the "Continental Preference" trait from pops at gamestart, because only the capital matters. Nerfed the "Natural Deposit" deposit.
- Galactic Plague - Hivemoon edict now requires the battleships tech.
- Ark of Constructors - Added the 2 missing guaranteed habitable worlds.
- Halo - Adjusted planet bonuses. Added the 1-2 missing guaranteed habitable worlds.
- Vi - Adjusted bonuses of Immortal planets and more.
- Prism-World - The 2 guaranteed habitable planets (Prism-Worlds) now have the correct districts. Changed Prism-World bonuses.


BALANCE CHANGES - CIVICS & MORE
- Certast - Removed lower ship buildcost, but can now build the Willpower titan class (Certus perk).
- HeartsOfIron & Warlord - Changed stats of the civics & both ship classes.
- Masterbuildiers - Added +5% country energy cost.
- Crusaders - Adjusted "Momentum" modifier and civic description.
- Vero - Adjusted all bonuses.

- Shipclass Voidangel (Perk) - Adjusted overall stats & added higher energy + unity upkeep.
- Shipclass Nanite Titan + Battleship (Gray Tempest) - Titan is now faster to build. Noth ships increased energy upkeep. Lowered base HP.

- Perk Gods Vengeance - Requires now the battleship technology to unlock.

DARKSPACE: v2.5 - The Nomads Rework

MOST OF THE NEW FEATURES WORK BETTER IN NEW GAMES!

This update adds an entire overhaul for my Nomads origin. They should play much different now and have now more options for different playstyles. I also tried to improve the balance a lot & give their society and economy more flavor with adding new mechanics, techs, upgrade-chances etc.


NOMADS REWORK - INTERFACE BUTTON
Opening the menu with the edict still works, but its kind annoying.
I added a button into the normal Stellaris interface (blue icon), aside of the Federation/Galatic Community button).

WARNING: This button has been added into the Vanilla interface. Any UI mod like "UI Overhaul Dynamic" could block/hide this button. Put DarkSpace ABOVE such mods in the Launcher-Playset / Mod-Load-Order.


NOMADS REWORK - ECONOMY
- Recoded the entire Nomad-Administration interface (UI), added a lot of new features.
- Added tutorial/tooltip buttons into the interface that explain basic Nomad-mechanics & stats.
- You can now allocate Manpower to more fleet capacity (removed a lot from the origin bonus!)
- You can now produce rare resources, if you have the tech requirements.
- Added "Research Slots", costs minerals (like districts/buildings) to unlock research.
- Added "Nomad Housing", costs minerals (like districts/buildings) to unlock space for your Manpower.
- Added "Nomad Perks", cost alloys & unity to increase Manpower-Growth.
- Some Vanilla technologies now increase Nomad-Housing & Manpower-Growth!
- Your government authority now decided which upkeep your Manpower has (monthly).


NOMADS REWORK - REALISTIC MANPOWER GROWTH
- Is now monthly like a planet, growth can be increased with techs, traditions, perks, "Nomad-Perks" in the Nomad-Administration (economy UI).
- Growth is now shown in the Nomad-UI.
- Growth debuff when being at war, or 2 years after losing a war (because your population lives on them).
- Growth stopped if the new Nomad-Housing is lower than 1.
- Manpower has now upkeep, dependent on your government authority.
= Machine = energy (high rate)
= Hivemind = food+energy (lower rate)
= Normal = food + consumer goods (lower rate)


NOMADS REWORK - TRADITIONS
- Fixed broken texture background (appeared after 3.7).
- Added 2 new traditions, reworked the 2 existing ones (now 4 in total).

= "Starseekers" - economy focus, replacement for Vanillas "Prosperity"
= "Cosmic Voyagers" - starbase focus
= "Cosmic Reavers" - similar to Vanillas "Supremecy", but better for Nomads
= "Voidborn" - mid to endgame tradition after unlock all Nomad-Perks

"Voidborn" has certain requirements to be unlocked. Unlocks also a mobile megastructure - the DysonSwarm. So your empire can stay mobile even when finishing large projects!


NOMADS REWORK - MISC
- Changed the entire localisation of the Nomad origin, events, UI, perks and everything else connected with Nomads.
- Adjusted bonuses of Nomad-policies.
- Adjusted origin-bonuses, ships, technologies and more.
- Adjusted the starting-components & costs of the Alarai at gamestart.
- Fixed missing starting resources for the "Savages"-playstyle.
- Fixed a bug where the Alarai couldn't be upgraded at gamestart (rare resources).
- Fixed wrong modifier stats, example for upkeep or deficits.
- Arks have now an empire limit of 5, Alarai still 1.
- Increased the cost of "Recruitment" decision to abduct pops from planets (for 1x and 15x).
- Removed the now redundant shipclass "Fabricator".
- Added new designs for the Alarai & Ark for other shipsets (Lithoid, Organic..)
- Added an internal event system to prevent building many more Arks/Alarais when another mod overwrites the country_limits for ships.
- Added a new deficit modifier for Nomads when being in a negative resource - CHECKS MONTHLY!


DARKSPACE V2.5 - MISC CHANGES
- Origin "Utopia" & "Arcane" - previous nerfs adjusted.
- Civic "Neutronpower" - not available (origin was already disabled in v2.4).
- Civic "HeartsOfIron" & "Warlord" - can now be changed/added after the game started - constructing the ships still requires either civic & battleship technology
- Civic "QuantumNavigation" - now only available/visible when OverlordDLC is installed (or host)
- Changed cost and upkeep of Genetic Assimilation (Ascension Perk building).
- Added a ship limit to certain components.
- Overwrites now alliance_button_window (Nomad economy button in the Vanilla UI!).

DARKSPACE: v2.4

I realized that some contents of the mod are "beyond repair"/too bland, so I began to recycle those parts.
Some content needs to be polished, and other things should appear in a different version in the game for more freedom to pick them.

Thats why I decided to remove certain old origins, civics and other things from the empire creation to enable them later again once their rework is done.
DS is now over a year old and hits soon 20k subs, thanks for that! Stay tuned for important changes and new detailed & complex additions to existing content, and new stuff.


ORIGINS:
- Certast Cluster - to "unlock" the galaxy the portal now must be repaired, adjusted starting deposits on all nearby worlds
- Gray Tempest - changed starting planets, adjusted some values of the trait & jobs, increased nanite upkeep, has now a specific deficit modifier when having not enough nanites!, starting event informs the player about nanite factory
- Utopia - changed solar system layout
- Arcane - removed the starting mineral deposit, adjusted district stats & jobs
- Borg & Allmacht REMOVED - both will appear again as ascension perk in DarkSpace2.5 or 2.6

- Hyperflora
