Version 2.2
  • Romulan Warbird drone.
  • Torpedo Launcher overhaul. The Micro, Photon, Voyager Photon, Quantum and Plasma torpedoes now do more damage.
  • Added front end caps for the Torpedo Launcher for some basic shapes to allow the Torpedo Launcher to blend in with existing armor. Existing Torpedo Launchers should be unaffected but you may want to add a cap to them.
  • Added Spatial Torpedo. It's a slow, short range torpedo that does less damage than a Photon Torpedo, doesn't penetrate shields and can be shot down.
  • Changed how the Advanced Torpedo Launcher works. Instead of firing three torpedoes at once, it loads two magazines and then fires them in sequence before reloading. The gap between firing is also 0.25s instead of 0.5s like the standard Torpedo Launcher. The reloading time has been lowered to 20s as well.

  • Drones are here!
  • Eight Federation drones have been added; three shuttlecraft and five starships.
  • Shuttlecraft: Delta Flyer, Danube Runabout and Peregrine attack fighter.
  • Starships: Defiant, Intrepid, Galaxy, Sovereign and Prometheus Class starships.
  • Drones will orbit the selected target and dive in for attacks.
  • Shuttlecraft will return to the ship that launched them at the end of their attack run.
  • Starships will just vanish at the end of their attack run. This is intended as their is no other suitable end mechanism for them in WeaponCore.
  • A Matter Extractor has been added to Industry. This is a smaller, slower, less efficient version of the Matter Converter that does not require Tritanium or Duranium to build. This was added for users of the Industrial Overhaul mod.
  • Two ramp style blocks have been added, one flat and one stairs model. Each only uses 1 PCU so you save when building large ships with lots of ramps.
  • Phasers have been upgraded and are now significantly more powerful than before.
  • All weapons have had their hit particles and sounds upgraded.
  • A 1x1 Name Plate has been added to allow for decals to be placed neatly on ship hulls.
  • A Star Trek: Voyager variant of the Photon Torpedo has been added. On the toolbar it will show up as V Photon.

Version 1.81
  • Balancing and cleaning up continues.
  • Updated textures on all models.
  • Name Plates have been oriented to match Keen's LCDs. Any Name Plate blocks will need to be replaced.
  • Advanced Photon and Quantum Torpedo magazines have been removed because they don't work properly.
  • Torpedo damage has been reworked as they were under-performing compared to beams. They will now be quite a bit more powerful.
  • Photon and Quantum Torpedo magazines now only have three torpedoes each instead of nine.
  • Transphasic and Energy Dampening Torpedo magazines now have one torpedo each.
  • Each torpedo has its own unique firing sound effect.
  • The Transphasic Torpedo has had a few changes made in the way it destroys blocks on a grid.
  • The Polaron Torpedo has been renamed the Energy Dampening Torpedo like the Breen weapon in DS9 and its color has be changed to blue-white accordingly. Its function remains the same and it still requires the same admin component. The change has being made in preparation for the Polaron turret planned for 1.9 which will have a different effect on enemy ships. Existing Polaron Torpedo magazines should simply convert over to the new version.
  • Torpedoes are now made out of a number of custom components. This will reduce the volume of materials required to produce torpedoes as well as adding a (tiny) bit of realism. Torpedo component numbers are (more or less) directly related to their differences, so a Quantum Torpedo requires more Fuel Cell and Thruster components than a Photon Torpedo as it is faster and has a longer range. Don't ask the engineers how they squeeze more components into the same size case; it'll just make your head hurt.

Version 1.8
  • Version 1.8 is the big balancing update. Things will work quite differently now. Please read the guide for more details.
  • The goal was to make armor, specifically Heavy Armor and Tritanium Armor, useful and relevant, and to reduce reliance on shields as a brick wall to stop all damage.
  • Tritanium Armor resists reduced.
  • Duranium Grid added as component to most blocks in the Mod Pack. Duranium is no longer required to build Tritanium Plates.
  • All non-armor blocks have had their component lists completely reworked. Most should be much cheaper now and much quicker to build in Survival Mode.
  • Weapon DPS has been reduced to be more in line with other modded weapons.
  • Weapon recharge times and power draw reduced.
  • Torpedo mobility has been reduced somewhat. The closer you are to a target the more direct the line between you and your target must be. They can miss and run out of range before they can turn round and come back!
  • Plasma Torpedo magazine size reduced to 1.
  • All weapons will now bleed 50% of their damage through the shield and onto the hull. Start getting creative about how you mitigate incoming damage and how you deal damage to your opponent!
  • Small block Ship Connector collision fixed.

Version 1.71
  • Updated ammo code (1.71).
  • Tractor Beam now includes an Anchor Effect that shuts down the thrusters of the target being tractored (1.71).
  • Updated Tritanium Connectors to orient correctly. There is still an error with SPUG's Auto Docking Script when using modded thrusters and connectors but it's not something I can fix (1.71).
  • Adjusted Warp Core audio. Only one sound will play instead of overlapping sounds (1.71).

  • Corridor blocks.

  • Fixed a couple of typos with some block variants.
  • Important: Glowing Half Block and Glowing Half Slope will need to be placed again as I have had to update their SubTypeIDs to correct an issue that was causing the game to crash. This should also hopefully make the mod compatible with Plane Parts by Takeshi.
