[Version 2.4]

  • The Brothers in Arms GTS perk no longer requires an EXVENT soldier of Sergeant rank to unlock; instead, you now only need to have any EXVENT soldier in the barracks.
  • Resolved an issue causing this mod to break ability tag handlers in other mods, resulting in ability values not displaying properly in the UI. Thank you to XpanD for bringing this problem to my attention.
  • Resolved an issue where this mod was preventing unconscious soldiers from playing the correct animations while being carried.
  • Fixed a bug where the Subdue ability's chance of success was significantly higher than what was actually shown in the UI.
  • Subdue now accounts for Beta Strike when calculating its success chance based on enemy health values. This option can be toggled off in XComGame.ini (on by default).
  • All charge-based abilities can now be configured to only use cooldowns by setting the ability's charge value to 0 in XComGameData_SoldierSkills.ini.

[Version 2.3]

  • Conversion research projects now take longer to complete for each time the research has been repeated. This is actually the default behavior for repeatable research projects (such as Datapad Decryptions), and the increased research time generally isn't noticeable as you acquire more scientists over the course of a campaign.
  • Resolved an issue preventing captives from being sold on the Black Market.
  • Fixed a bug where ADVENT units that were rendered unconscious without using the Subdue ability did not play the appropriate animations when being carried.
  • Fixed a bug where reinforcement Troopers were not properly equipped with upgraded grenades.
  • Fixed a bug allowing the Officer's Watchtower ability to trigger while the Officer was incapacitated (e.g. stunned).
  • The Officer's Mark Target ability can now be used while burning or disoriented.
  • The Officer's Flush ability can no longer be used while disoriented.
  • The "ConvertCaptive" console command has been changed to "ConvertToExventCaptive" to prevent potential naming conflicts with commands added by other mods. The new syntax is as follows:
    SYNTAX: ConvertToExventCaptive [name ConvertFrom] [optional int Quantity] EXAMPLE: ConvertToExventCaptive InR_Captive_AdventCaptain 2

[Version 2.2]

  • Added Russian localization. (Thank you to Shadow and ПРОЛЕТАРИЙ!)
  • Introduced a new system that allows for the capture, interrogation, and recruitment of ADVENT units. Check #announcements in the PROJECT EXVENT Discord[discord.gg] for a complete breakdown of how it works!
  • Added a new Guerilla Tactics School perk that applies to all EXVENT soldiers when purchased - this is directly related to the new capture system.
  • Resolved a base game bug that prevented loot retrieved by mission-generated soldiers from being properly recovered. This fix has been applied on a game-wide scale and should work for all units. (Even the ones spawned by Double Agent and Volunteer Army!)
  • On a related note, reinforcement Troopers summoned by the Officer can now pick up loot.
  • Knocking an enemy unconscious will now force them to drop any loot they are carrying. Again, this is another change that has been applied universally.
  • Fixed a bug where the Stun Lancer's Rolling Thunder ability was benefitting from the bonus damage conferred by the Excessive Force effect.
  • Added a console command that converts captives from other mods into EXVENT-compatible versions. This is intended to support compatibility with other mods that allow for the capture of enemy units, provided that the captives are stored as X2ItemTemplates.

  • A full list of console commands added by PROJECT EXVENT can now be found in ConsoleCommands.txt, located in the mod's local workshop folder.
  • Updated the list of randomly generated nicknames for the Officer.
  • The colors used in the default appearances of the Trooper and Officer have been slightly altered.
    TROOPER GREEN: #235B55 → #00484B OFFICER CYAN: #45B5AA → #00BEB7
  • The class icons for the Trooper, Officer, and Stun Lancer have been updated.

[Version 2.1]

  • Added support for mods that make items individually buildable (such as Prototype Armoury). Reinforcement Troopers summoned by Officers should now be properly equipped with upgraded items (as long as you have at least one instance of the item in inventory).
  • The Officer's Air of Authority and Camaraderie abilities now apply their enhanced effect when used on Skirmishers. (More hybrid buddies!)
  • The Stun Lance ability can now be activated by right-clicking on the intended target, similar to how Rangers and Templars are able to do so.
  • The resource costs of unlocking the Amp Baton and Volt Baton have been changed.

  • Updated the list of randomly generated nicknames for the Officer and Stun Lancer.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed the Stun Lancer's Rude Awakening ability to be activated against non-adjacent targets while the user did not have sufficient action points.
  • As a sneak peek of what's to come, two versions of the Shieldbearer's helmet (standard and customizable) are now available to equip.

[Version 2.0]

  • The Stun Lancer class is now available for training in the Guerilla Tactics School!
  • The GiveExventSoldier console command now supports Stun Lancers. See the Change Notes for Version 1.5 to view the syntax for this command.
  • Added new nicknames for the Officer.
  • The Flare Grenade's inventory image has been slightly altered.
  • Resolved an UnrealScript bug causing the game to crash when loading a save from the game's menu without clicking "OK" on the Patch Notes panel.
  • Chinese localization has been removed due to translations no longer accurately reflecting updated gameplay.
  • Custom Soldiers Evac Zone Fix by RealityMachina is no longer a required dependency and has instead been moved to the Companion Mods section.

[Version 1.5]

  • Added a Second Wave option that allows you to begin a new campaign with EXVENT soldiers in the barracks. The number of starting soldiers and their classes can be changed in XComGame.ini (1 EXVENT Trooper by default).
  • Added a console command that gifts an EXVENT soldier of a specified class (currently supports Troopers and Officers).
    SYNTAX: GiveExventSoldier [name SoldierClass] EXAMPLE: GiveExventSoldier ExventOfficer
  • The Officer's Rally ability has been reworked. Rally can now also be triggered by kills against the Lost.
    OLD: When the Officer scores a kill, all squadmates recover +1 ammo for their primary weapon. If the Officer is carrying a Medikit, allies will also be healed for +1 HP (+2 HP for Nanomedikits). NEW: Whenever an enemy marked by the Officer is killed, all squadmates recover +1 ammo for their primary weapon. If the Officer is carrying a Medikit, allies will also be healed for +1 HP (+2 HP for Nanomedikits).
  • The Officer's Urgent Matters ability now upgrades Call Reinforcements to be a free action.
  • Updated the list of randomly generated nicknames for the Officer.
  • Resolved a base game issue that caused female units to play male voice lines during certain ADVENT-specific animations.
  • The ForceCreation and MultiplesAllowed variables have been moved to XComGame.ini.
  • English words inside ability descriptions are no longer hard-coded; this should make it easier to localize the mod into different languages.

[Version 1.4]

  • Emissive (glowing) parts on armors and helmets are now affected by secondary tint color.
  • The stat progression for reinforcement Troopers has been slightly nerfed (1 less HP at some ranks).
  • The class icons for the Trooper and Officer have been updated to reflect their new appearances.
  • Fixed skin vertex weights on armors and helmets.
  • As a sneak peek of what's to come, two versions of the Stun Lancer's helmet (standard and customizable) are now available to equip.

[Version 1.3]

  • The invisible torso issue caused by Version 1.2 has been fully resolved. For more information, see the Change Notes for the April 5th hotfix.
  • Colors and patterns can now be applied to the Trooper's armor and helmet.
  • The Trooper's texture maps have been completely redrawn to add light emission and improve general visual appearance.
  • Improved the texture quality of Troopers and Officers on lower (Minimal, Low, and Medium) graphical settings.
  • EXVENT soldiers are now more likely to be compatible with Skirmishers when bonding. (Hybrid buddies!)
  • Fixed an issue where the HUD icon description for the Officer's Lead by Example ability did not reflect any changes made to the ability's config values.
  • The Officer's Rally ability has been rewritten to make it more editable through config files (see DefaultGameData_SoldierSkills.ini).
