Beskrivelse
Compatible with 2.2+

This mod disables terra incognita (fog of war) on the default empire view, as seen in previous versions of Stellaris. This allows the player to view the map in colour, rather than in grey.

Wow, looks amazing combined with the galaxy textures.

Only issue is how it removes the fog of war - it no longer shows unexplored hyperlanes at max range as "fading out", so you can't tell the difference between a hyperlane which is actually a dead end, and one which could lead somewhere else. Makes the survey planning a lot more difficult.

Doesn't break the game any, but does remove an element of mystery introduced with the intel mechanics

This mod doesn't work with the new intel mechanics.
it causes an empires entire territory borders to be visible despite having no intel

Doesn't need an update.

To all people complaining about messed-up galaxy texture: this mod doesn't contain any.
Or any graphical assets for that matter.

It's just 12 lines of code, with the "flagship" one being:
"enable_terra_incognita = no"

Here's how it looks on 2.7.2 with "Pinwheel Galaxy" mod for the texture:

I'll admit, the name is a bit confusing. "No fog of war" might have been more descriptive - but it works perfectly as of the latest game version.

Thanks for a simple but awesome mod @ButtJunkie

Will you be updating this?
LordZarmack 19. jan. 2020 kl. 20:51
id suspect so mate, eitherway sorry for the trouble/alarm. That said, each time I encounter something this stupid, it's a reminder why I no longer keep my mods on here up-to date...

thanks again for your work though, much aphreciated.

That's a bit strange. It's only a texture, so it should have minimal effect, unless there's another mod doing something similar that relies on specific changes (or vanilla has changed in some way).

-Right after the whole bloody night trying to sus this out it seems it has to be at the bottom of your load order "The exsact bottom"

Not half way, not below or near other mods "The bottom"

Here, I have seen this before but it was another mod... I was running 2.4, updated and no change.
"Removing the mod does nothing" "Changing load order changes nothing"

The map looks grainy and bleeds over the edge, the core no longer glows properly either.
