dm_roman_sanctuary is a small map made for Half-Life 2: Deathmatch. The map is an interpretation of a painting of the Piazza d'Oro at Hadrians Villa in Tivoli, Italy. It's not a historically accurate roman sanctuary. The map contains several buildings for the player to enter, a large courtyard with several teleporters that throw the player across multiple areas around the map and an underground tunnel that provides access to a tunnel filled with lava.

The map contains several piles of ammunition and health for players to use. The RPG is placed in a special area, where the player must complete a special puzzle in order to acquire it.

- The map is internally referred to as "dm_roman_sanctuary" for those who want to operate by console and it can be found in the "Half-Life 2: Deathmatch" section of the map select screen.
