The Paperboy - Throwing objects at people in an unarmored vessel!” – Dante McFox on the nature of this Fast Attack Craft

Howdy! The WMI Paperboy Kinetic Torpedo Fast Attack Craft Mark 1 is the latest in cost effective weapon platforms developed by Whiplash Military Industries. The Paperboy has immense acceleration potential (+27 m/s/s) that allows it to cripple an enemy with its kinetic torpedoes before they even know what hit them! The Paperboy is also capable of fending off fighter attacks with its four Gatling Turrets; however, it is not recommended to engage larger targets in direct combat! This vessel should be employed with hit and run tactics, as its light armor does not afford the greatest protection. You should use this vessels incredible acceleration to strike hard and fast from beyond an enemy’s engagement range.


  • Survival Capable: This ship comes fully stocked with ammunition and uranium and has a ship wide conveyor system.
  • Automatic torpedo reloading system: The Paperboy carries 10 salvos of 2 kinetic torpedoes by default. 9 of these salvos are stored in the cargo containers and are constructed on the fly!
  • Deadly simple kinetic torpedoes: Each torpedo can penetrate upwards of 5 layers of heavy armor! The torpedoes are composed of only 4 heavy armor blocks and a merge, making their damage-to-cost ratio incredibly high.
  • Pressurized interior: Small, yet comfortable interior with seats for 1 pilot and 2 passengers.
  • Automated braking system: The Paperboy does not have much lateral or reverse thrust. Because of this, the vessel is equipped with a proprietary “Turn ‘n Burn” Auto Braking System that slows the vessel by flipping it backwards and using the ship’s main thrusters.
  • Velocity Indicator Script
  • Automatic Door and Airlock Script
  • WMI Standard Docking Collar: This ship can dock with most/all WMI, AAM, and ACI combat vessels!



  1. Release Kinetic Torpedoes
  2. Targeting Camera
  3. Toggle Reverse Thrust On/Off
  4. Toggle Gatling Turrets On/Off
  5. Toggle “Turn ‘n Burn” Braking System On/Off
  6. Toggle Main Forward Thrusters On/Off


  1. Fly towards your target at top speed
  2. Press [1] to release Kinetic Torpedoes. Minimum suggested distance is about 1 km
  3. Pull up and away from your torpedoes
  4. Press [5] to activate automatic braking
  5. Run like hell while laughing manically!



  • Do not directly engage enemy targets! This is a lightly armored ship and it will crumple under fire. Maintain your distance from targets and bombard them from a decent standoff range.
  • There is very little lateral and reverse thrust on this craft. Use main thrusters to slow down/change directions!
  • The velocity indicator in the cockpit will help with braking maneuvers
  • Use the “Turn ‘n Burn” Auto Braking system ([5] on the toolbar) to come to a quick stop!


This was an absolute blast to make and I finally got around to coding an auto braking system because of this! I hope that y’all enjoy this absurdly named, but ruthless ship.

I just realized the "turn and burn braking system" is exactly what I've been looking for, for another project :) Now I love this even more.

this ship is seriously fun. Freakin does some serious damage. I would love to have the turn and burn braking on like all my fighters though. love it.

... OK, that's an impressively fast ship, I don't think I have seen any large grid ships that can accelerate like this thing. Also, I love the name.
