Description

The Vampire was designed alongside its Scylla Mothership to compliment its orbital drone control role. Where the Shark drone serves in the atmosphere as an unmanned gunship, the Vampire works best in hit and run attacks against both fighters and ground targets.

The Vampire is also capable of reaching low orbit so that it can dock with or deploy from the Scylla Cruiser.

  6. Gatlings
  7. Reverse Thrusters On/Off
  8. Ion Thrusters On/Off
  9. All Drone Engines On/Off

Within the K Menu, you will notice many parts labelled similar to "Drone Engines 0" The number 0 is intended to help you when docking multiple Vampires with the Scylla or any other carrier. Simply change the 0 to 1,2,3,4 and so on when docking more than one craft, so that the control groups do not blend and you can easily micro-manage your carrier. Control groups for batteries, antennae, and engines are already set so that you might turn these on/off when docking or deploying.

Flight/Docking
To Transcend the atmosphere, turn the Ion Thrusters on. These are primarily located on the bottom, so keep the nose level on the horizon and hit space to fly out.

The Vampire is NOT designed for space flight, and does not have any dorsal ion thrusters. Therefore, it must remain within the influence of gravity to be functional. The purpose of the low-orbit flight is ONLY for docking with the Scylla, and not any sort of combat.
