Volcano Crown

Description
Volcano Crown is a wonderful map to build your city in! Lots of hills surrounding an asleep tropical volcano which turned into a giant lake with rivers streaming down to the sea.
There are several islands you can reach, all transport connections, all resources available.
Oil is hidden on the bottom of the minor lake, you will have to stop the river to dry it and build your industries in.

Enjoy and, if you want, feel free to suggest anything! Will keep this updated

I absolutely love this map! I didn't really like the highway and rail placement so I removed them all and laid down my own highway network, but I just love the terrain! The flat multilevel plateaus can host residential districts with great views, while providing a height barrier between the busy industrial and commercial districts of the city.

4/5 - beautiful map, great idea - but I think elevated highway all the way is unrealistic - could be ground level 90% of the map, just don't build it right over the edge of the river or volcano.
I would also enjoy less slope in the lower parts, by the beaches - but that's just my preference

I sort it out, it wasn't even a mod. A perfectly placed traintrack wasn't used by the AI - CS sometimes does that. I connected it from another main train track and now the passangers trains keep rolling in :-)

Very nice looking map, that needs a different approach to settle it.
But one thing I noticed: there are no passenger trains (IC) visiting my city (or on the map at all)!
Cargo trains are fine, my cargo hubs and cargo stations are fully operative.
But as said no passenger intercity trains in a 50k city spawn on the map...

This map is incredibly underrated. Add a few peaks of land and create huge dams with 1600mw generating power. Also a few barriers to channel water, destroy your damn and watch the ensuing tsunami and flood.
