Combine Forcefields

Description
Finally, an addon that adds easy-to-use, pretty, and stable forcefields–WITH WHITELISTS!

If you enjoy this addon, please be sure to give it a thumbs up!

THIS REQUIRES WIREMOD TO WORK.
This is due to how I allowed players to toggle the field on and off. Simply spawn a wire numpad input or whatever method you want to switch it off, and wire it to the 'Toggle' input on the forcefield.

!!!! IMPORTANT !!!!!
This entity will take the form of whatever you aim at when you spawn it. If you aim at the ground, it will spawn a PHX 4x4 sized version, but for the sake of versatility, if you would like a different size, spawn a PHX plate or, preferably, one of the Erikszeug forcefield models provided in the pack. Once you have spawned the prop you want, aim at it and spawn the entity. It will take the shape of, and remove, the prop you spawned, leaving behind the forcefield. Yes it spawns frozen.

How to use:
Spawn it.
Move it where you want it.
Hold your WALK key (your move slowly key, not W. Default key is left ALT) and press your USE key while close to it and aiming at it.
Edit the settings to your liking.
(OPTIONAL) Weld combine barrier props to the sides for added effect, especially when toggling the field.

GUI Note:
"Add Contributor" will allow any players (other than yourself) on that list to edit the players/teams on your forcefield. By default, when you spawn the forcefield, you are the original contributor and will always have access to the gui. You must, however, manually whitelist yourself.

What it does:
  • Will block players and props from passing through
∟ If the player is on the whitelist, however, they may pass through, lag-free. Played Clockwork before? Do you remember how the forcefield would stop you briefly to check who you were before allowing you to pass through? Yeah no this doesn't do that. You seamlessly walk through as if you were nocollided with it.
  • No matter how hard someone tries, it is impossible for someone not on the whitelist to pass through the forcefield, even if you're standing in the field.
  • Makes ambient forcefield humming noise
  • Makes the electric buzzing noise when a player not on the whitelist is touching the field (like in HL2)
  • Can be welded to the combine barrier props, and when toggled off, the barriers will switch off with it. (see pictures for demo)
  • On/off noises
  • Bullets can pass through it
  • Uses the actual forcefield material!

What it does not do/does not support:
  • Glow. Add it yourself with the light tool or something. I tried making it glow already and it caused a loss of 10fps, per field.
  • Regular duplicator support. Use advanced duplicator.
  • Spawn combine barriers already attached. I tried it already, and it wasn't pretty. This also is due to the fact that this entity can be spawned as any prop (read the above warning), and each prop has different relative angles and blah blah blah.

Known bugs:
  • If you/your team is whitelisted, you cannot pick the forcefield up with your physgun. If you need to move it and absolutely can't bear to remove yourself from the whitelist for a minute, hold WALK+USE and then grab it with your physgun. Once you've grabbed it you can release the keys.
  • Adv. Duping the field will not preserve who the owner of the field was, for obvious reasons. To fix this, either press E on the forcefield, or aim at it and spawn a new one.
  • Don't use the "Make Persist" option. Just don't. It won't work and you'll be unhappy with the result.

Other:
There is also an abandoned entity called the Dissolver included in the addon. Works similar to the forcefield, but entities not on the whitelist are dissolved. The whitelist is controlled by wiremod. Make a table with the player entities you want whitelisted as the values, then wire appropriately. I will not be updating this, but I thought some people might find it useful.

Credits:
Divran - Helping me with my initial idea of making them wiremod controlled. Ultimately I decided against it, but he was very helpful nonetheless.
Erikszeug - Creating the forcefield models.
FPtje - I borrowed a convenience function from him for adding buttons to the GUI.

Disclaimer:
Don't steal this or I'll hunt you down and mercilessly assault you with a rubber turkey.
You are free to modify this for your own personal use.
You may not upload/re-upload this anywhere. Period.
If you use this on your server somehow, be sure to give proper credits.

Is there literally any way to let NPC's walk through the fields? Like, you know, how the combine are supposed to?
