Tired of pulling grass by hand just to get a nice lawn? 🌱
And you don’t want to turn your garden into an ugly patch of dirt?
Thanks to this mod, you can finally mow your lawn properly with a scythe and bring back its former beauty!

How does it work?
  • A new option, "Mow the lawn", appears in the context menu when you have a scythe in your inventory. The scythe’s regular behavior remains unchanged: you can still create farmland.
  • Use the rotate key to change the cursor size: 3x3, 2x2, or 1x1 (just like with regular scythe use, in case you didn’t know).
  • The time required depends on the number of grass tufts to cut.
  • Also works with the hand scythe, but the cursor size is limited to 1x1 (still way faster than doing it all by hand).

@Cyser I gave the idea some serious thought, but in the end I decided not to go with it. While it might be interesting gameplay-wise, I felt that extending the scythe's 3x3 area effect to bushes or shrubs wouldn't feel realistic enough in terms of how such tools are actually used. I’d rather keep the mod grounded in that kind of immersion.

Could we get an update that allows to scythe bushes by any chance?
I dont mind longer action time or anything, just clicking 300 moves makes me mad :D

I once almost cut my finger off with a scythe, luckily a big clump of grass was in the way. Left a nasty scar and completely fucked up the bone, though.

The ussr, just press x near grass an then select remove grass and then select the grass to be removed cell.

I think am doing it wrong i keep making look like dirt and not clean cut grass. I don't care about the grass clippings i want a nice lawn.(PS i am on a steam deck so that maybe the reason why it's not working but I don't know).
